Reports out of Argentina tell the reality of reduced tax revenue for the nation and crop output for the farmer. Current year versus crop condition in 2008-9.

Satellite remote sensing (as if Jan 24) has Argentine crops similar to 2008-09 in some key spots (left for comparison) and better than in others. The latest crop production will likely end better than 2009 but worse than 2011, also a La Nina season.
