(d) Find the domain and range of the function f(x) = √ (2x – 15). [5 marks]

(e) Find the equation of the line that goes through (-1, -2) and is perpendicular to 2x - y + 1
= 0. [5 marks]

(f) Prove the following trigonometric identities: [6 marks]


(i) sin4(θ) + cos4(θ) = 1 - 2sin2(θ)cos2(θ)
(ii) tan(x/2) = sin(x)/(1 + cos(x))

(g) When a polynomial P(x) is divided by x the remainder is -1. When P(x) id divided by x+1
the remainder is 4. When P(x) is divided by x-2 the remainder is 1. Find the remainder
when P(x) is divided by x3-x2-2x [7 marks]
