Title
Course Credits 6 Units

Course None
Prerequisite
Course Description This course is designed to enable students to build on their existing
strengths and to provide an opportunity for further study not limited
within the confines of the traditional classroom environment. It
provides students the opportunity to develop a career-oriented
relationship with a community professional (the mentors) in the
student’s area of chosen interest particularly in the field of Information
Technology (IT). It also allows, through the association between the
student and the mentor, the development of a special relationship that
contributes to the formation of the student’s life outlook and plans.

Moreover, the course requires students to complete a culminating

assessment that demonstrates what they know and what they can do
as they prepare to graduate from their Program (BSIT). This kind of
assessment allows students to dive into an academic topic, problem, or
issue of individual interest where they can further develop the skills
they acquired previously in their education by understanding research
methods; employing ethical research practices; and accessing,
analyzing, and synthesizing information as they address a research
question. They will also answer questions about the topic they have
presented.

Course Objectives By the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Attend five (5) Webinars/Lectures in their chosen topics
particularly within the field of Information Technology (IT);
2. Complete five (5) Webinar’s / Lecture’s Reviews that synthesize
their learning about the topic/s presented, and the benefit that
can be derived from such learning in relation to their future
career;
3. Submit at least three (3) Certificates of Attendance as proof of
their participation in the five (5) Webinar/Lectures attended; and
4. Re-echo one (1) of the five (5) Webinars/Lectures attended
through multi-media presentation as their culminating
assessment.
