I wake up early to take a shower and prepare things that need to be prepared.

This is my first day in

class and the first day I will meet my mentor Mrs. Cynthia B. Sebejano, I arrived at the school at 7:30 and
waited for the head teacher, sir Val Casimero, I first met sir Elias, the Filipino coordinator of the school,
and he introduced me to my mentor, maam Cynthia Sebejano, during the day that I followed maam
Cynthia and she introduced me to students in Grade Seven of Manocmanoc National High School.

How did you start your lesson? How did you motivate the student?

I first observed maam Cynthia's class, the class started with prayer and the review followed before
heading to the next lesson. I remember maam Cynthia's teaching strategies.

What teaching strategies did you apply? Are they effective for engaging the students in learning?

There was a game in maam Cynthia's class and I can say that it was effective in getting the interest of the
children in the class. The students happily participated in the game along with the knowledge they
gained after class.

Did you encounter any problems with the students? How did you handle the student behavior?

There were no problems in the class, the students were actively listening and everyone was happy and
learned something today.

What are the things that you need to improve for the next day.

I need to prepare my lesson and myself because I will be the one to face the students and give
knowledge to the children regarding the topic we are studying.

What preparation did you do for your class today?

On Thursday, I woke up early because classes start at 6:30 am at Manocmanoc High School, I prepared
myself for this day because I will be teaching students in grade seven. On this same day, maam Cynthia
gave the sections that I will teach, the Opal, Amber and Pearl section. Sometimes when maam Cynthia
has an important task, I also teach the Garnet, Jasper and Moonstone section.

How did you start your lesson? How did you motivate the student?

I am the third subject of the Amber section and the last subject of the Pearl section, I entered the
classroom and made everyone stand up to say good morning, I introduced myself to them as a student
teacher and I also said that I will be the temporary teacher in them. I started going back to study to find
out their knowledge about their lesson.

What teaching strategies did you apply? Are they effective for engaging the students in learning?

Their new tapiko today is ANG MGA KAALAMA BAYAN, we first had a lecture about the new tapiko, so
that the discussion could continue after writing. I have also stated the expected tasks and objectives
before the end of our lesson.

Did you encounter any problems with the students? How did you handle the student behavior?

There were no problems in the class, the students were nice, there were some rude ones and everyone
was actively listening, everyone was happy and learned something today.

What are the things that you need to improve for the next day.

I still need to study various teaching strategies and improve teaching knowledge so that I can provide
appropriate and specific knowledge to students in grade seven of Manocmanoc National High School.
