To, YOURSELF

“Its only after you’ve tried to do the thing which scares you the most,
you begin to grow.”

It’s a universal fact that its our duty, or a stage of life, that we have to
stand on our own someday. But sometimes, during the process of
growing and standing above, we feel like we need someone beside us.
Try to remember this at that moment –
The legend of lord Buddha says – “ Its better to walk alone, than
to walk with a fool.” Regardless of being an orthodox believer or an
atheist, we can agree with his statement, even though we perceive it
differently.
Coming back to the reality, we can agree that we always strive
for a company. Whether it is in the form of parentage, friendship, or
love, well, it is necessary as it helps by providing a support in our life.
There may be times when we want someone to stand by our side,
protect us, support us.
But in the desperate need of being recognised or just to ‘fit in’ we
forget our true self. Forgetting our true self, not recognising our
worth, not having enough confidence to stand for ourself, to always
want someone to make you recognise your worth, is what you define
as ‘loneliness’
“To be alone is wonderful, but to be lonely is dreadful”
That ‘shallowness’ you feel while being surrounded by hundreds, is
loneliness. And that is when you must remember or should never
forget that ‘you come alone and you will go alone’. So, do not give
others the privilege to make you feel your worth.
How to be alone, you say? Well, if you want something, you can get it,
but only if you put efforts to achieve it. For sometime, stop following
the social media trend, and without having any company, try to be
yourself.
It is only YOU who knows your true worth, and by being your own
company, you will be able to convert your tribulations into
opportunities. As Tesla says “be alone, that’s from where the ideas
come” would certainly mean the ideas of believing yourself, realising
yourself and to be yourself.

The document defines loneliness as the feeling of shallowness and lack of true self-worth, even when surrounded by many people. It views loneliness as a psychological state caused by dependency on external validation and losing touch with one’s inner values and identity. The psychological perspective implied is that loneliness stems from the inability to rely on oneself and recognize one’s intrinsic value without external input. It suggests that loneliness is not merely about physical solitude but about a mental and emotional disconnection from one’s own self-worth, emphasizing the need for self-awareness and self-validation to overcome it.

The document acknowledges the human need for companionship as essential for providing support and protection. However, it reconciles this with the advocacy for solitude by distinguishing between healthy relationships and the delusion of needing others for personal worth. It suggests that while companionship is natural and necessary, it becomes problematic when it leads to losing one's identity and self-worth. It advocates for solitude as a means to maintain personal integrity and self-discovery, arguing that it is preferable to unhealthy relationships. The document advises that true satisfaction and growth come from within, and solitude allows individuals to explore and understand their authentic selves without external influence.

The document distinguishes being alone from loneliness by suggesting that being alone can be constructive, allowing for personal growth and self-discovery, while loneliness is described as a negative state where one feels isolated and unworthy even among people. To transform loneliness into a positive state, the text advises individuals to recognize their true worth and become comfortable with their own company, focusing on personal growth and self-reliance, as exemplified by words from Telsa and Buddha. This process involves moving away from the need for external validation and recognizing one's intrinsic value and potential.

The document suggests that to center personal growth around self-knowledge, individuals should actively disengage from societal and social media trends that distort self-perception. They should focus on their values, needs, and intrinsic worth to foster self-understanding. It encourages individuals to embrace solitude as a means to self-reflect, sparking creativity and self-awareness free from external validation. It also emphasizes the importance of being one's primary source of support and recognition, advocating for relying on personal judgment and fostering a mindset where growth is seen as a personal journey rather than conforming to external expectations.

The document highlights self-perception as a crucial factor in overcoming feelings of loneliness. It suggests that feelings of loneliness stem from a lack of confidence and an inability to recognize one's own worth. To change self-perception, the document advises individuals to disengage from societal pressures, like social media trends, which often distort self-image. Instead, it encourages focusing on self-awareness and understanding one’s own needs and values. By prioritizing personal growth and becoming content with one’s own company, individuals can boost their confidence and reframe their relationship with solitude from negative to positive. This involves a conscious effort to recognize personal worth without seeking external validation.

The document presents the choice of solitude over companionship as a deliberate step towards personal growth and self-awareness. It cites the idea from Lord Buddha that it is 'better to walk alone than with a fool' to suggest that solitude can be more beneficial than maintaining unhealthy relationships. This choice allows individuals to focus on self-reflection and understanding their true worth without external distractions. The document implies that embracing solitude enhances personal growth by providing a space for introspection and creativity, ultimately leading to self-discovery and the realization of one's potential. By selectively choosing solitude, individuals can transform isolation into a period of significant personal development.

The document utilizes the sayings of historical figures such as Lord Buddha and Tesla to reinforce its message about personal growth and self-worth. It cites Buddha's words "It’s better to walk alone, than to walk with a fool," to illustrate the importance of choosing solitude over poor companionship. This suggests that independence can be more fulfilling than unhealthy relationships. Tesla’s quote "be alone, that’s from where the ideas come" is used to emphasize that self-discovery and creativity often arise from solitude, encouraging individuals to embrace alone time as a period of self-reflection and personal development. These references serve to lend wisdom and credibility to the document’s advocacy for self-reliance and self-worth.

The document warns against the pursuit of external validation, implying it can lead to a loss of personal identity. It suggests that the desperate need to fit in or gain recognition from others causes individuals to forget their true selves and rely on others for a sense of worth. This results in shallowness and loneliness, even when surrounded by people. The message conveyed is that true self-worth comes from within and that by focusing on personal values and self-discovery instead of external validation, individuals can maintain their identity and find fulfillment.

The document suggests that solitude provides a unique space for innovation and self-discovery, as it minimizes distractions and external pressures, allowing individuals to focus inwardly. It references Tesla’s idea that ‘ideas come’ from being alone to illustrate that solitude can spark creativity and insight. By being alone, individuals can explore their thoughts, reflect on their experiences, and generate new ideas without outside influence. This introspection not only fosters a deeper understanding of oneself but also can lead to innovative thinking and problem-solving. The document posits that embracing solitude helps in realizing one’s potential and uncovers opportunities for personal growth.

The document discusses societal influences on self-worth by highlighting how societal expectations and trends, particularly those on social media, shape and often distort individual perceptions of self-worth. These external influences lead people to rely on others' opinions for validation, resulting in a loss of true identity and increased feelings of loneliness and inferiority. To counter these influences, the document recommends detaching from these societal pressures and focusing on personal growth and self-discovery. This involves fostering a deep self-awareness and relying on internal judgment rather than seeking external affirmation. Essentially, it encourages individuals to find and celebrate their authentic selves away from the obligatory societal expectations.
