All tasks will be done on google slides. With your partner,
create a presentation with consistent themes, backgrounds,
and layouts,
Task 1
Write a definition for intelligence (individually).
Task 2
Compare your definition with your partner’s and create one joint
definition, then place on your slide.
Task 3
With your partner design a 5 question test that could be used to
measure your definition of intelligence. Provide one question per
slide, and make sure to include answers (but hide from other
test takers).
Task 4
Administer your test to another pair.
Task 5
Individually take the short version of Wechsler’s IQ Test at
[Link]
Task 6
With your partner revisit your test and make changes that you
believe will provide a more accurate measurement tool for your
definition of intelligence (Create new slides for these in order to
show your changes). You may also need to revisit your
definition.
Task 7
If time, administer your new test to another group.
Task 8: Discussion Questions - Answer on your last three

Isabella: being very knowledgeable and having a large skill set
Task 2: Individual definitions of intelligence
Joint Definition: Having a large skill set that allows you to solve
various tasks and also having a lot of knowledge and information.

Task 8: Discussion Questions
What was your experience trying to define/measure intelligence?
Isabella: When I was thinking about intelligence I though more so
about being smart and that intelligence is how smart you are. How I
realize that there are multiple types of intelligences so intelligence
is a very broad term. For me, intelligence is a hard word to
describe.
Justine: When I was defining intelligence, I found it hard for me to
put my thoughts into words and define it well. However, I was
thinking about the logical and “school” aspects more.
Task 8: Discussion Questions
What alterations did you make to your definition and/or test?
Isabella: After taking the intelligence test and taking another
person’s test we decided we needed to make it harder. We ended
up changing the questions so that they were more difficult and
unique.
Justine: After having people take our test, we found out that our
questions were a but too easy, so we altered them to make them
more challenging. We also took a lot of inspiration of the pattern in
the Wechsler test.
Task 8: Discussion Questions
What surprised you about the Wechsler IQ Test?
Isabella: What surprised me about the Wechsler IQ test was how
hard the pattern were. When I think about figuring out a pattern I
think of something that is easy but it was surprisingly hard.
Justine: I was really shocked at how most of the questions were
patterns, and much more challenging than I intimated. When I used
to think of patterns, I never really thought about how challenging
they could be.
