The pandemic has led to a significant change in the behaviour of the most part of the global

population. The industries have faced challenges to remain operative despite the benefits of The
Internet. Furthermore, for small businesses that require in-person activities, lockdowns have been
the main cause of unemployment due to the rapid spread of the COVID disease, which is caused
by the virus under the name of SARS-CoV.

A recent study shows what some of these new unemployed people did during their lockdown last
year.

MORNING:

The table shows women spent more time than men in doing Housework. In fact, this activity is
shown as the one women did the most last year. On the contrary, women rarely played sports or
drank.

Men were 27% less active than women in the mornings. Nevertheless, their preferred activity was
Job Hunting and they barely spent time drinking.
Women and men sit around or do nothing in the same percentage of time.

They are also tied up in staying in bed.

Men did more gardening than women in the morning.

AFTERNOON:

Women continued to do Housework as the activity they did the most. On the other hand,
watching TV was the activity men did the most.

Some men stayed in bed or played sports in the afternoon, while women did not do any of these
activities.

INTERESTING FACTS:

Men spend the same time decorating in both; mornings and afternoons.

Women spend less time decorating than men.

Men lead the gardening area in both; morning and afternoon.

More women visit friends or relatives than men.

Women do more shopping than men.

In general, women are more active than men, and take the lead in shopping and housework. In
contrast, men spend most of their time job hunting and watching TV. On the other hand, women
do not seem to like gardening since this is majorly done by men during the day.
In recent centuries, humankind has conducted researches toward the better understanding of the
human body.

One of the most important experiments was based on the Dolly Project, where scientists were
able to recreate de DNA of a sheep and successfully cloned it to study its behaviour later.

Recently, an old man went through surgery as the only way to save his life. Nevertheless, the heart
he received did not come from a human being, but from a pig. It was said the heart was modified
to meet the requirements of the human body.

Despite the many improvements in Science and Technology with respect to the wellbeing of the
humankind, there are alternatives to treating animals as non-sensitive beings. In fact, in France, a
new law has been passed so that, when facing a divorce, couples can treat their dogs and pets as
part of their own family. After all, who are we to decide the fate of other living creatures who
happen to be around us to inspire more than empathy.

The Artificial Intelligence should be taken into account to provide better results without taking the
life of animals. Research is to be made to help more people.
