 The following are examples of expressions to

use when praising God.
 Lord, I PRAISE You.
 You are WORTHY to be praised.
 Lord, I THANK YOU.
 I MAGNIFY Your name.
 I GLORIFY Your name.
 I love to GLORIFY AND PRAISE You.
 I will BLESS YOU at all times.
 Your PRAISE shall CONTINUALLY be in my
mouth.

LORDS.
 I EXALT Your name.
 I praise Your GLORIOUS NAME.
 For YOU ARE GOOD.
 Your MERCY endures forever.
 I LIFT MY HANDS to honor You.

 You are worthy to receive GLORY AND
HONOR.
 This is the day You have made, and I WILL
REJOICE and be glad in it.

 Here are ten Scripture-based sentences to
serve as “praise starters.”*
 1. God the Creator — I praise you, God,
because “You alone are the LORD. You made
the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all
their starry host, the earth and all that is on it,
the seas and all that is in them. You give life
to everything, and the multitudes of heaven
worship you” (Nehemiah 9:6).
 2. God the only Lord — I praise you, God,
because you are “the LORD, and there is no
 other; apart from [you] there is no God”
(Isaiah 45:5).
 3. God the Almighty — I praise you, God,
because “who is like you, LORD God
Almighty? You, LORD, are mighty, and your
faithfulness surrounds you” (Psalm 89:8).
 4. God the Prince of Peace — I praise you,
God, my “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah
9:6).
 5. God whose nature is love — I praise you,
God, because “God is love. Whoever lives in
love lives in God, and God in them” (1 John
4:16).
 6. God the triumphant — I praise you, God,
“who always leads us as captives in Christ’s
triumphal procession and uses us to spread the
aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere”
(2 Corinthians 2:14).
 7. God the faithful — I praise you, God, for
you keep your covenant of love to a thousand
generations of those who love you and keep
your commandments. (See Deuteronomy 7:9)
 8. God our refuge — I praise you, God,
because my salvation and my honor depend on
you, oh God; you are my mighty rock, my
refuge. (See Psalm 62:7)
 9. God the performer of miracles — I praise
you, God, for “you are the God who performs
miracles; you display your power among all
the peoples” (Psalm 77:14).
 10. God the deliverer — I praise you, God,
for though I am poor and needy you are my
help and my deliverer. (See Psalm 70:5)


 Worship Expressions
 The following expressions show God how
much He means to us and offer adoration to
Him for we worship Him for who He is.
 As you strive to give God worship, we
should use whatever means are appropriate
to help you—Meditate, Listen to Music,
Pray, Do some Giving (your time and
money), and Personal Bible Study.

 1. The Almighty God. “O Lord, God
Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O
Lord, and your faithfulness surrounds you”
(Psalms 89:8).
 2. The Creator God. “Creator God, I praise
You because `You made the heavens , even
the highest heavens, and all their starry host,
the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all
this in them. You give life to everything, and
the multitudes of heaven worship you’”
(Nehemiah 9:6).
 3. The Only God. “God , I praise You
because You are ‘the Lord, and there is no
other; apart from [You] there is no God’”
(Isaiah 45:5).
 4. The Holy God. “Holy, holy, holy [are
You] Lord God Almighty, who was, and is,
and is to come” (Revelation 4:8).
 5. The Everlasting Father. “[You] mighty
God who lives forever and ever” (Isaiah 9:6).
 6. The God Who Heals. “Father, I praise
You because You are the Lord who heals me”
(Exodus 15:26).
 7. The Burden Bearer. “Praise be to the
Lord, to God [my] Savior, who daily bears
[my] burdens” (Psalms 68:19).
 8. The God Who Answers Prayer. “I praise
and honor You, Father, because You are a
God who loves to answer prayer and who
begins to answer even before I pray” (Isaiah
65:24).
 9. The Merciful God. I praise You, Father,
because “You have never forsake me; for You
are gracious, and merciful God” (Nehemiah
9:31).
 10. The Only Wise God. I praise You for
being the only God our Savior, “be glory and
 majesty, dominion and power, both now and
forevermore” (Jude 25).
 11. The Loving God, Our Father. I praise
You because You are a loving God, and Your
nature is that Love (1 John 4:16).
 12. The God of Justice. Lord, I thank you
for being a just God and my justifier, because
I believe in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:26).
 13. The God of Joy. I give You praise, O
Lord, because “You have granted me eternal
blessings and made [me] glad with the joy of
your presence” (Psalms 21:6).
 14. The Liberator. I will praise You because
“ You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord”
(Psalms 70:5).
 15. The God of Light. “I praise you, Lord,
because You are my light and my salvation”
(Psalms 27:1), and because You know what
lies in darkness, and light dwells with [You]”
(Daniel 2:22).
 16. The God of Peace. Father, I praise You
because you are the God of my peace [who]
 will soon crush Satan under [my feet]
(Romans 16:20).
 17. The God of Wonders and Miracles.
Praise be to God our Lord who still do
“wonders and miracles on the earth today, and
display His power among the peoples”
(Psalms 77:14).
 18. The Provider. I praise you, Lord, “who
makes all grace abound in me and generously
provides all I need” (Corinthians 9:8).
 19. The Banner. Praise to You, my God,
because You always protect me. My victory
“who always leads [me] in triumphal
procession in Christ” (2 Corinthians 2:14).
 20. The Faithful God. Thanks You Father, I
praise your name because of your “great and
abundant of stability and faithfulness in my
life; for they are new every morning”
(Lamentations 3:23).
 21. The Forgiving God. “I want to bless
You with praise, Father, because ’You are a
forgiving God, gracious and compassionate,
 slow to anger and abounding in love’”
(Nehemiah 9:17).
 22. The Shepherd. My shepherd, my Lord,
“who will shepherd me and guide me in the
paths of righteousness for Your name's sake”
(Psalms 23:1-3).
 23. The God of All Comfort. “Praise be to
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion and the God of all
comfort.” (2 Corinthians 1:3).
 24. The God of All the Earth. “I praise and
adore You, Lord, as ‘the Holy One of Israel…
[my] Redeemer… the God of all the earth’”
(Isaiah 54:5).
 25. The Fortress, Refuge. Father, You are
only my rock and my salvation. You are my
refuge and fortress. I shall not be moved. My
refuge is in You! (Psalms 62:6-7).
 26. The Grace of God. “I just want to praise
You, Father, for Your grace (Your unearned
and underserved favor) [that I] might reign
also through righteousness which issues in
eternal life through Jesus (Romans 5:21).
 27. The Lifter of My Head. “Father god, I
praise You because ’you are a shield around
me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift
up my head’ when I am weary or despised’
(Psalms 3:3).
 28. The Giving God. “Father, I give praise,
glory, and honor to You for being a generous
God, who did not even stop short of giving
Your own Son [Jesus for me]” (John 3:16).
 29. The Deliverer. I praise You, Lord, for
being “my deliverances and salvation; and for
setting me free from death.” (Psalms 68:20).
 30. The Greatness of God. I thank you,
Lord, that I can learn more about our
greatness; for “You are Great” (Job 36:26). I
want to get to know you better, and draw
closer to you (James 4:8).
 31. A Patient God. I give praise you, Lord,
because “You are not slack in your promises
toward Your children, but is longsuffering.
You are waiting patiently for everyone to
come to repentance’ (2 Peter 3:9). Thank for
Your patient with me.
 Now it's your time to pray,and then praise -
 Heavenly Father,
 I thanks and praise You for your marvelous
wonders. I thank you for this brand new day
of prayer and praises.
 I will bless Your name at all times, and my
lips will speak of your works. I will praise
you, Lord for this is where my help and
strength comes from. With situations or
circumstances that comes against me, I will
praise and worship the Lord, my God, and go
through these storms of life surrounded by my
angels; who are messenger send forth to
protect me. I thank You Lord that I am also
covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, and
know weapon that is form up against me will
prosper.
 My praise to You will continually be in my
mouth, when I wake up in the morning, do my
daily routines, and before I fall asleep at
night. I will to do this continuous praise, as
long as there is breath in my body. I will
praise thee.


Praise and Worship
You shall worship the Lord your God,
and Him ONLY shall you serve
Deuteronomy 6:13

Praise is the joyful recounting of all

God has done for us. It is closely
intertwined with thanksgiving as we
offer back to God appreciation for His
mighty works on our behalf. Praise can
be a feature of other relationships as
well. We can praise our family, friends,
boss, or paperboy. Praise does not
require anything of us. It is merely the
truthful acknowledgment of the
righteous acts of another. Since God
has done many wonderful deeds, He is
worthy of praise (Psalm 18:3).

Worship comes from a different place

within our spirits. Worship should be
reserved for God alone (Luke 4:8).
Worship is the art of losing self in the
adoration of another. Praise can be a
part of worship, but worship goes
beyond praise. Praise is easy; worship
is not. Worship gets to the heart of
who we are. To truly worship God, we
must let go of our self-worship. We
must be willing to humble ourselves
before God, surrender every part of
our lives to His control, and adore Him
for who He is, not just what He has
done. Worship is a lifestyle, not just an
occasional activity. Jesus said the
Father is seeking those who will
worship Him "in spirit and in truth"
(John 4:23).

In Scripture, praise is usually

presented as boisterous, joyful, and
uninhibited. God invites praise of all
kinds from His creation. Jesus said that
if people don’t praise God, even the
"stones will cry out" (Luke 19:40).
When the Bible mentions worship,
however, the tone changes. We read
verses like, "Worship the Lord in the
beauty of holiness" (Psalm 96:9). And,
"Come let us worship and bow down"
(Psalm 95:6). Often, worship is
coupled with the act of bowing or
kneeling, which shows humility and
contrition (2 Chronicles 29:28;
Hebrews 11:21; Revelation 19:10). It
is through true worship that we invite
the Holy Spirit to speak to us, convict
us, and comfort us. Through worship,
we realign our priorities with God’s
and acknowledge Him once more as
the rightful Lord of our lives.

Just as praise is intertwined with

thanksgiving, worship is intertwined
with surrender. It is impossible to
worship God and anything else at the
same time (Luke 4:8). The physical
acts often associated with worship—
bowing, kneeling, lifting hands—help
to create the necessary attitude of
humility required for real worship.
Wise worship leaders know how to
structure a worship service to allow
participants to both praise and
worship the Lord. Often, services
begin with joyous praise songs and
transition to a quieter, more
introspective opportunity for worship.

Worship is an attitude of the heart. A

person can go through the outward
motions and not be worshiping (Psalm
51:16-17; Matthew 6:5-6). God sees
the heart, and He desires and
deserves sincere, heartfelt praise and
worship.
