Reflection
Introduction and Overview
In recent years, environmental issues have become an increasingly
important topic of our country. From the alarming rise in population grow to
the devastating effects of any environmental issues, human activities are
leaving a lasting impact on our planet. Reflecting on this, I found myself
particularly moved by the issue of water pollution, plastic pollution under the
CCLEX bridge as it not only affects the natural environment but also has
direct consequences on our daily lives. This reflection aims to explore my/our
thoughts and personal experiences with this issue, the broader implications it
has on society, and what actions we can take to contribute to a more
sustainable future.
Planning and Preparation
When we planned the vlog, we must need a proper flow for our vlog to be
meaningful. First, we decided to be documenting the clean-up, interviewing
individuals for them to share their thoughts and give possible effects of the
pollution. The goal was to reflect and sharing thoughts and perspectives to
create more positive way to solve the problem.
We decided the project by assigning different roles. While my team members
focused on the cleanup event itself and securing the interviews, I took
charge of gathering the necessary filming equipment and ensuring that we
were capturing the key moments. We also scheduled time to film and
coordinate with the local community. From the beginning, we set clear
deadlines for shooting and reviewing the footage, but we had to remain
flexible, as real-world complications like bad weather.
Learning project
As we do this task One of the most significant lessons, I learned is the power
of collective action. Before starting this project, I often felt that individual
efforts were insignificant in the grand scheme of things. However, seeing
how small changes, like reducing plastic usage or participating in a
community cleanup, can collectively make a substantial impact on our
environment was inspiring.
One challenge that we experienced was about only the weather since it’s
under the bridge and we are direct to the sun.
Collaboration and Feedback
Collaboration is the main important of this vlog project. Though we even had
a different role it is important for us to do brainstorming and teamwork. My
group was hardworking and responsible for clean-up, approaching people to
do interviews and collecting feedback from individual. Working together was
the main reason for us to do this task properly and more meaningful.
Challenges and Solution
Another challenge was technical filming near the water meant there was a
lot of background noise, and we struggled to get clean audio. While I didn’t
handle the editing, I noticed that our editor had to get creative by using
voiceovers or cutting those low-quality clips to cover up these audios. They
worked hard to make sure the final product still stable and good to watch and
I learned how important it is to make solution when technical issues arise.
Personal Growth and Reflection
Creating this task vlog about an environmental issue has great impact on my
journey that allowed me to grow both personally and creatively. Also, I was
not sure about how to convey the focuses of the issue in an engaging and
informative way. However, throughout the process, I learned to step out of
my comfort zone, improve my communication skills, and think responsibly
about the impact of our content.
Moreover, collaborating with my team taught me the importance of group
activity. Each member brought unique insights, which not only important on
the content of the vlog but also broadened my own understanding of the
issue. Filming and editing the video also enhanced my technical skills even
though I’m not the only one who edit it, from using video editing to crafting a
compelling narrative that resonates with viewers.
Conclusion and Final Thoughts
In conclusion, creating this vlog on water pollution, plastic pollution was a
powerful learning experience that deepened my understanding of the
pressing challenges our environment has. It was not only an opportunity to
raise awareness but also a chance to reflect on my own habits and make
more environmentally conscious choices. Through inviting people,
collaboration, and creative expression, I gained valuable insights into how
storytelling can be a compelling tool to inspire others and influence positive
change.
This project has shown me that even small actions, like creating educational
content, can make a significant impact when it resonates with an audience
and encourages them to think differently about their role in protecting the
environment. Ultimately, it reinforced the idea that while the problems we
face may seem overwhelming, efforts and a willingness to learn and change
can make the way toward a more sustainable future. I am grateful for this
experience, as it has strengthened my resolve to continue helping for
environmental awareness and take concrete steps to live more sustainably in
my own life.
