About the Client
Phi are supporting an Asia-based Tier 1 investment bank with offices in more than 30 countries

in Euro Tower, Bucharest. The client provides a variety of advisory and capital-raising solutions to
corporations, financial institutions, private equity, governments, and public-sector organizations

fixed income markets. We are the client’s exclusive partner for multiple capital markets technology
projects.
About the Programme
With the increasing regulatory-driven business requirements and trade populations, our client aspires
to expand their Market Risk Technology (MRT) team’s capabilities globally. This initiative involves
building a new market risk platform powered by ActivePivot, an in-memory, Java-based Analytical
Processing framework, to increase the platform’s efficiency in aggregating & analysing data,
conducting What If analysis and computing complex measures. For this reason, Phi is looking for a
Lead Java Developer to join this initiative and support our client by providing exemplary services and
executing various projects.
Key Responsibilities
The developer’s primary responsibilities will revolve around developing critical business applications
within the Market Risk domain and working closely with other Java developers in the team. You will also
interact with the client’s top stakeholders and contribute to the initiative’s development strategies. The
successful individual will be working with cutting-edge technologies, including ActivePivot, and
obtaining wide exposure to best-in-class technology management.
Key Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be a Lead Java Developer with:
• A strong track-record of delivering Core Java development initiatives
• Hands-on-experience working with Spring and Maven
• Solid understanding of CPU/ Memory optimization
• Experience with Big-Data technologies is desirable
• Knowledge/ Experience of ActivePivot is desirable
• Excellent communication skills; should be able to work and collaborate effectively with the
technology team
