Renew bushes and seals if necessary.
49 Engine: Drain oil, clean the drain plug and renew the sealing washer. 01

50 Manual gearbox: Check for leaks from the gearbox and for rust on the 05
oil filter. Renew the oil filter if there are any signs of rust. Check the oil
level. Note: Always top up oil to the edge of the level hole.
51 Propeller shafts: Check for damage and free play in support bearing 06
and universal joint cross.
52 Rear central gears: Check the oil level in axle gears and any hub 09
reduction gears. Check for leaks from the axle gears and hub reduction
gears. Check for rust on the oil filters. Renew the oil filters if there are
any signs of rust.
53 Compressed air tanks: Drain condensed water. Check that the 10
compressed air tanks are free from corrosion and external damage. Check
the suspension of the compressed air tanks.
54 Shock absorber: Check brackets. Check for cracks and leaks. 12

55 Brake hoses: Check attachment of brake hoses. Check whether the 10


brake hoses are damaged or cracked or whether there is a risk of chafing.
56 Balance bogie: Check­tighten torque rod attachment and torque rod 12
brackets.
57 Clutch: Check wear using gauge 99 315. Make a note of the results: 04

58 Balance bogie: Lubricate the balance bogie. Important! Lift the axle 00
against the spring bracket until the wheels begin to rise off the ground.
This is done to get grease on the underside of the bearing during
lubrication.

Raise the front axle and support with axle stands


59 Lubrication: Lubricate the chassis according to the lubrication 00
programme. Pump in grease until clean grease comes out from all
bearings.
Lower the front axle
60 Engine: Remove and clean the centrifugal oil cleaner. Renew the seals. 01
Fit the centrifugal oil cleaner.
61 Engine: Renew the oil filter. 01

62 Engine: Top up with oil. 01

63 Engine: Check that the label detailing the topped­up oil grade is in 01
place. If the label is missing, fit a new one.
64 Fuel system: Renew the fuel filter and bleed the fuel system. 03

65 Fuel system: Renew the frame­mounted water separating fuel filter and 03
bleed the system.
66 Engine: Check the drive belts, the belt tensioner and the idler rollers. 02

Lower the cab


67 Lubrication: Lubricate the moving parts of the tipper and hydraulic 00
system. For further information, see the tipper manufacturer's
instructions.
