INTRODUCTION

1.1. Background of the study


E-commerce is the digitalized platform of buying and selling process that maybe
among organizations and individuals as well. It can be referred as a standardized
business methodology that addresses the need of consumers, organizations that
is low cost oriented along with enhancing quality of goods and services (Saud &
Bhusal, 2017) . As e-commerce is a product delivered by technology, these
technologies include internet media such as websites, email, mobile, and media.
With the infusion of these technologies and its component, the development of
online medias and its tools are reaching new heights. Online shopping is an
influential result of e-commerce which has made an ease for consumers and seller
providing a suitable commercial environment through a wider scope of making
transactions easier than ever. The contribution keeps adding up to sectors like
education, transport, banking, agro sector, food sectors etc.

Most of the emerging businesses now run through aipps and websites which have
made an ease of access for doing their business styles and also provided enough
reliability and cost effectiveness. The technologcal advancement in Information
and Communication Technology has induced various new business opportunities
in an unbelievable manner. Agri-Nepal is a competent e-commerce for
agricultural inputs which is used for sustainable eco-friendly rooftop farming and
gardening product. The website is committed to provide genuine and reliable
products at affordable pricing structure and easy payment options. The website
report analysis explains every aspect of website such as user interface, complexity
in use of website, customer interaction, working mechanism, security of users/
consumers, employees and business house and work management.
This report is designed and developed to analyse the multiple areas of the
website [Link] for the overall knowledge about ecommerce business
and partial fulfillment of internal evaluation of e-commerce at Tribhuvan
University (TU).

1.2. Objectives of the study

The report is conducted to achieve these following objectives:

 To analyze and evaluate the strength and weakness of the website


 To understand about the business model used by the website
 To overview the challenges faced by the website while providing services
 To check whether the website fully satisfies the need of the customer

1.3. Methodology of the study

This report is based on both primary as well as secondary data. However, primary
data collection was prioritized more as information relevant to study matter was
acquired from interviewing the associates of the website. However, the
secondary data were also relatively prioritized as most of the data was gathered
through reviews of consumers through the website page and additionally through
journals and academic literature published in articles from both traditional and
modern forms of sources i.e. internet and newspaper ,magazines.

1.4. Limitations of the study

As the study is carried out for definite and limited period of time, there are
limitations present in this study as well. Those limitations are presented below:

 Time was a major constraint


 Respondents were reluctant toward giving information
 Benefits given to staff were not transparent.

2.1 Introduction of the organization (Website)

In this fast-paced life, people are getting busy with their work. They do not have
enough time to visit market to buy goods. With the internet users on the high
rise, Nepal is moving towards a digital revolution. So, with the feeling of the
necessity of online commerce in Nepal which will save the valuable time of the
buyers. Agri- Nepal Kausikheti ([Link]) was started with a moto of soil to
sell. The prime objective of [Link] was to start online business trend in
Nepal and to reach maximum customers at the right time to increase sales and
profitability of the business.

[Link], a agriculture concern company of weblink Nepal, is the online


business owned by Sunita Nhemphuki and Dambar Nepali and managed by highly
expert team of professionals who are committed to give best services to the
customers. [Link] has been providing 10 categories of products that
helps in agriculture. Agri-Nepal provides quality goods or product in cheap price.
Home deliveries are provided with a very reasonable charge. Returns and
exchanges are only possible in case of damage products and suppliers failure
within a time period of 48hours.

2.1.1 E-commerce business model:

[Link] is an online business, all the business transaction are done online.
The procedure, for a normal person to benefit from the site is very simple.
Customers are asked to register themselves first, where they are requested to fill
up sign up form. Once the account is created, the website provides us with basic
terms and conditions where matters like eligibility of use, availability of
applications, user accounts and privacy, payment methods and delivery systems,
information and communications, etc. is presented to the customer. This
company adopts business to customers (B2C) ecommerce model as it involves
selling of goods and services directly to consumers. In this model products are
directly sold to those consumers eliminating middleman. It displays the product
information in its application through which consumer can buy the product. The
modes of payments are E-sewa, cash on delivery, Khalti, IME pay. For the delivery
of products, the delivery date and shift should be mentioned, and the products
will be delivered according to the stated delivery date and shift. It approximately
takes 1-2 days for the products to be delivered within the valley and 3-4 days
outside the valley.

2.1.2 SWOT analysis


Every organization needs to keep itself up to date with the changing needs, tastes
and preferences of consumers. For this purpose, any company should involve
itself in environment scanning. Environment scanning is the process of gathering
information about events and their relationship within an organization’s internal
and external environment. SWOT stands for strength, weakness, opportunity,
threat of the company. SWOT analysis is one of the tools for such environment
scanning, which uses strategic planning techniques to help an organization to
identify its strengths, weakness, opportunities and threat related to that business.

 Development of apps could help the website group to reach higher market

is done

The threat of the company can explain in the following points:
 During pandemic covid-19 customers increased demand for the products
made production difficult for the company
 Services will be inconvenience during Nepal Banda, protest, strikes etc.
 Due to unavailability of personalize products, the customers may switched
to another company

We have reviewed this schedule on the basis of the following categories:

The website is well- designed with the catchy motions of the products. Products
are listed on the basis of the demand and are divided into different categories
where user can get easy access to find their requirement. Products pictures seems
realistics to give the actual view till it gets to the customers hand. Page
navigations are good enough and are good enough to be accessed easily by most
of all.

2.2.2 Content and catalogue management


The website is content full. Its products are divided into following main headings:

When comes to the e-commerce business modes of payment have not only
customer easy but also the business owners. Similarly, Payment plays a
prominent role to run the any business, therefore, payment management forms
an essential constituents of ecommerce sites. Ecommerce payments are one of
the most over looked and underappreciated parts of the online shops. From a
customer’s point of view, they are about to reveal some of the most protected
information (credit cards/Debit card, PayPal details) into a website. Payment is
the integral part of every commercial activity. After purchasing the products, the
buyer makes the payment equivalent to the value of the products. Following are
some of the common Agri-Nepal payments mode:

their purchases. Agri-Nepal has put in place a number of security measures to
keep customers’ personal information safe. Agri-Nepal provides the option of
using a secure server. As a result, all information is kept private. Consumers'
