Chocolate

- Do you like eating chocolate?

Yes, I really enjoy eating chocolate, especially the dark one. I also love food and drink that include chocolate
such as ice cream and milktea
- Did you give chocolate to someone as a gift?
Yes, I did. Since chocolate is a perfect present for many special days such as Valentine’s Day, I also use
chocolate and a flower to celebrate the Mother’s day.
- Did you like chocolate when you were a child?
To be honest, I have been addicted to chocolate for a long time. However, when I was a child, I hadn’t had any
chance to eat chocolate yet, so I didn’t know anything about it. Until I became a teenager and ate the first
chocolate bar.
- When was the first time you ate chocolate?
Maybe… around 5 years ago when I ate chocolate for the first time. One of my mother’s friend sent her a dark
chocolate bar from America. And after I had eat it, I fell in love with it.
- Why do you think it’s so popular?
Well, I suppose it’s mainly because of its bittersweet taste, which satisfies many people’s taste. That’s why
chocolate is used as an ingredient in various foods or drinks like cakes, ice creams or milktea. Apart from that,
chocolate can serve as meaningful presents on many occasions
- Do you think people use chocolate differently now than in the past?
I guess there are some innovation especially when it comes to how chefs devise new ways to incorporate
chocolate with other ingredients or their culture. For example, I was really surprised when watching a video that
people mix chicken salad with chocolate
At the same time, old-fashioned chocolate chips and bars still popular

- Is chocolate good for our health?

There are several benefits of eating it. Firstly, eating chocolate helps improve our mood when we’re tired and
under pressure. Secondly, it can provide our bodies with essential minerals. Furthermore, I also heard that
chocolate can bring benefits to women as well.
Jewelry
- Do you often wear jewelry?
Actually, I always wear this chain bracelet as it brings lucky to me. However, other jewelry such as ring,
necklace or watch,… I … rarely wear them.
- What type of jewelry do you like to buy?
Personally, I ‘m keen on wearing lucky jewelry such as the bracelet I’m wearing now. I'm not superstitious, it’s
just because I’m in grade 12 now so I would like to be more lucky. I aslo like to buy other fancy jewelry aswell
but for me, they cost an arm and a leg, therefore, I’m not affordable enough to buy them.
- Why do you think some people wear a piece of jewelry for a long time?
People often wear a piece of jewelry for a long time for a variety of reasons. For some, jewelry may hold
sentimental value. For example, someone may wear a wedding ring to commemorate their marriage. Others
may wear a piece of jewelry because it has practical benefits, such as a watch.

Additionally, some people view jewelry as a thing that can bring fortune to they, just like me.
- Have you ever given someone jewelry as a gift?
I do buy jewellery as a birthday present for my mum. when I go around a store and see a beautiful jewellery , I
would by it immediately because I think my mother will like it
Ice-cream
Do you love ice cream?
Yes, I’m a huge fan of ice cream, especially in these summer days. It helps cool me down and there are also
varity of flavors to choose such as chocolate, strawberry and vanilla
Did you often eat ice cream when you were a child?
No, I didn’t eat it often. I always wanted an ice cream when summer came but I didn’t have lots of money.
Actually, my mom would bought me one if I got good marks at school. However, I was not intelligent that time.
Are there shops selling ice cream near the place where you live?
Definitely. In the past, the only way to get an ice cream was to wait for an ice-cream vendor to pass by. But
now, it’s widely available and can be found in any convenience store in my neighborhood.
Would you like to learn how to make ice cream?
I’d love to. Actually, I’ve watched a couple of Youtube tutorials on making scroll ice cream. That sounds quite
fun
Study
Describe your education
I started school when I was 7. I finished my primary education 5 years later and I went to secondary school at
12. Then at 16, I made it to a high school for gifted pupils in my hometown.
At my high school, I have to study various subjects. The main subjects that I spend most of my time to study are
Maths, English and Literature.
What is your area of specialization?
Currently, I’m a freshman at university, so I’m going to spend my first year learning the basics of business
theory. To be honest, I haven’t decided which major I’m gonna choose, but right now I’m thinking about
pursuing Business Management or Finance.
Well, my area of specialization is Physics. If I have to subcategorize my area of specialization, then Electronics
is the main subject I have studied at university level.
Why did you choose to study that major?
The first reason why I chose to study that major is because I loved it the most among all the subjects I had
studied. Secondly, studying that specilization helps me fullfill my dream of treating for the poor who acquire
infectious diseases more easily than the rich.
Do you like your major? (Why?/Why not?)
Of course I love my specilization a lot. It not only helps me keep up with knowledge about infectious diseases
but also brings me confidence in treating patients.
What kind of school did you go to as a child?
As a child, I attended a public elementary school. It’s quite a famous school in my home town which provides
both high quality education and a supportive environment, so I think I was quite lucky.
What was your favourite subject as a child?
When I was a little girl, I used to be passionate about mathematics. I remember I could spend hours doing Math
exercises without being bored. Everytime I found the way to solve a difficult exercise, I felt happy as if I had
won a gold medal.
Do you think your country has an effective education system?
Frankly speaking, I don’t think so. Our education system still cares too much about achievements and focuses
on an exam-driven curriculum, which I find unduly stressful for both teachers and students.
Are you looking forward to working?
Absolutely! It’s great to join the workforce, especially when I can do the job I love. Not only will it pay the
bills, but it’ll also give me the joy of making a contribution. It’s hard to be happy and fullfiled without working.
Bags
Do you usually carry a backpack? (Why/Why not?)
It depends on the situation. If I have a lot of things to cary. such as books, a laptop, or other items, I prefer to
use a backpack. It's more comfortable to carry, and it distributes the weight evenly on my back, which makes it
easier to carry for a long time. However, if l only have a few things to carry, like my phone, wallet, and keys, I
prefer to use a smaller bag, like a shoulder bag or a cross-body bag.
What kind of bag do you like to carry? (Why?)
When it comes to the type of bag I prefer to carry, I usually go for practicality over fashion. I like bags that are
durable, lightweight, and have enough space to fit my essentials. However, I do prefer bags with a simple and
elegant design that can go with my outfits without drawing too much attention. I also like bags with multiple
pockets, as they help me easy to access.
Do you often change bags? (Why/Why not?)
I don't change bags very often. When I find a bag that I like and that suits my needs, I tend to use it for a long
time. However, I do switch bags occasionally, for example, when I need to use a bigger bag for traveling or a
smaller one for a night out.
Wild Animals
Have you ever seen a wild animal? (What was it?/Why not?)
I have seen many wild animals in zoos. One of the most memorable sight was a lion locked in a cage. It was an
amazing experience to see this magnificent creature up-close and observe its behavior.
What is your favourite wild animal? (Why/Why not?)
I'm not really interested in wildlife, so if I had to pick one wild animal that I like the most, it might be a polar
bear. I think they are so cute in the white thick coats, polar bears can survive extreme weather conditions, like
freezing cold.
Do you like seeing animals in a zoo? (Why/Why not?)
While I appreciate the opportunity to see a wide variety of animals in the zoo, I prefer to observe them in their
natural habitat. Zoos can provide important educational opportunities and contribute to conservation efforts, but
I believe that animals are best appreciated and understood when they are living in their natural habitat.
How important is it to protect wild animals? (Why/Why not?)
Protecting wild animals is important in maintaining ecological balance and preserving biodiversity. Many
species are threatened by habitat loss, poaching, and other human activities, which can have negative impact on
the ecosystem
Ambition
What are your career ambitions or goals?

Is it important to have ambitions?

What were your ambitions when you were a child?

Arts
Do you like drawing? Why?
In the traditional sense, not really. I can recognize and appreciate a well-drawn picture, beautiful photo, or a
sculpture but I don’t really go out of my way to visit museums or art galleries. Maybe when I get older, I will be
more interested in the fine arts.
Do you want to visit an art gallery or museum?

What are the differences between old and modern arts?

Do you want to be an artist?

Do you think art is an important part of life?

I think expression is a very important part of life, and so by extension art is an important part of life as well.
Everyone has at least one way to express themselves. For example, I can’t draw or paint, but I think I’m a
decent writer. If you classify writing as art, then I think art is therefore an important part of my life.

What experience of art did you have when you were younger?
I couldn’t draw, but my mom was an art teacher at my school. I remember her forcing me to try to draw better
pictures. My grandparents are a little “highbrow,” so they would always take me to art museums in Boston,
which I thought was a boring experience!

Do people in Vietnam like visiting museums and art galleries?

I am not Vietnamese and I haven’t been here for very long, so this isn’t a question for me to answer! I know
there are a few art galleries in Hanoi, but I haven’t been to them yet. In America, the upper-class people with
disposable income tend to spend a lot of time in museums and art galleries. Among a certain moneyed crowd,
art-collecting is a very popular pastime.

Do you think going to museums and art galleries is beneficial for children?
Not necessarily, I think most kids get bored when they have to look at paintings and sculptures. But for those
children who are interested in art, a trip to a museum or gallery will of course be beneficial for them. They may
look at the works on the walls and find themselves getting inspired.

Do schools in Vietnam have field trips to museums?

Again, this is a question for the Vietnamese students – I can’t really answer this! In America, we took a lot of
trips to science and art museums as students, though.
