Topic 6: Numbers
BASIC NUMBER
One circle, so round and true,
Two squares, a shape for me and you.
Three triangles, pointed and bright,
Four rectangles, so long and right
Five diamonds, sparkling with glee,
Six ovals, smooth as can be.
Seven hearts, full of love,
Eight crescents, shining above.
Nine stars, twinkling in the night,
Ten pentagons, a unique sight.
Numbers and shapes, let's explore,
Learning and discovering, more and more
Count Eleven to Twenty
Eleven little frogs hopping in the sun,
Twelve pretty flowers swaying as they run.
Thirteen honeybees buzzing in the trees,
Fourteen bumblebees dancing in the breeze
Fifteen fluffy clouds floating up so high,
Sixteen butterflies chasing as they fly.
Seventeen ladybugs crawling on the ground,
Eighteen fireflies lighting up around
Nineteen busy ants marching on a mission,
Twenty little birds singing in a mission.
Let's count from 11 to 20 once again,
And practice our numbers again and again

Number in my world
Eleven is the number of scars on my feet,
Twelve is the number of hours I sleep so sweet.
Thirteen is the number of stripes on a bee,
Fourteen is the number of petals on a tree.
Fifteen is the number of keys on my ring,
Sixteen is the number of birds that sing.
Seventeen is the number of days in a week,
Eighteen is the number of wheels on my bike
that squeak
Nineteen is the number of stars in the sky,
Twenty is the number of times I will try.
Let's count from 11 to 20 one more time,
And learn our numbers through rhythm and
rhyme!

Numbers All Around
Thirty days in a month, that's what we know,
Thirty-one is one more, it's time to go!
Thirty-two teeth in my mouth, all so bright,
Thirty-three steps to climb, reaching new height.
Thirty-four crayons in my box, ready to create,
Thirty-five cents in my pocket, I can't wait!
Thirty-six balloons in the air, up so high,
Thirty-seven shells on the beach, oh my!
Thirty-eight flowers in the garden, so pretty,
Thirty-nine books to read, oh what a pity.
Forty is the number of fingers and toes,
And with this, our number poem comes to a close.
Let's count from 30 to 40 one more time,
And practice our numbers with rhythm and
rhyme!

COUNTING
FUN
Fifty stars shining bright in the night,
Fifty-one birds soaring in flight.
Fifty-two cards in a deck to play,
Fifty-three balloons to fly away.
Fifty-four bubbles floating in the air,
Fifty-five flowers in a garden so fair.
Fifty-six keys on a piano to play,
Fifty-seven marbles rolling all day.
Fifty-eight fish swimming in a tank,
Fifty-nine seconds left, better not be
late!
Sixty minutes in an hour, that's for sure,
Now we've counted from 50 to 60 and
so much more!
Let's practice counting one more time,
And we'll be ready for numbers anytime!
