In 2024, we held an “I Voted” Sticker
Design Contest and received nearly 600
entries. The winning designs, crafted
by local PWC residents, each represent
the history, diversity, and geography of
Prince William County. A new winning NOVEMBER 2024 NOVEMBER 2025

sticker will be featured each November
for the next four years.
We encourage you to vote every

Future Voters
A new “Future Voter” sticker will also be available starting this
November for all children and teens who accompany their
guardians to the polls. They, too, can showcase their pride until
they are old enough to vote.

Since 2022, the Prince William County Office of Elections has been
implementing improvements, building best practices, and setting industry
standards to make sure your elections are safe, secure, and accurate.
Your Voter Rolls are Diligently Maintained
• 100,000+ transactions update/verify voter records every year.
• Records are routinely checked against Post Office, court, DMV,
and death records data.
Your Election Equipment is Secure
• All voting equipment is tested before every single election.
• PWC complies annually with 150+ state security standards.
• All voting equipment is certified by the state.
• The ballot scanner is never connected to the internet.
Voting By Mail is Safeguarded
• Mail voters in PWC can track their mail ballot online.
• Returned mail ballots are double-sealed, assuring secrecy.
• All mail ballot envelopes are verified 4 times before counting.
Your Election Results are Accurate
• A 2023 recount of a primary contest separated by 2 votes was
accurate down to the single vote.
• Post-election results validation now checks all election results 3
times for accuracy.
• PWC is the first county in Virginia to publish signed results tapes
online for public review.

I wanted to relay a few key reminders for this fall.
First, make sure you use [Link] and this guide for official voting
information. During elections, organizations may innocently or intentionally spread
misinformation. Always check official sources for confirmation.
Second, let’s treat each other with respect and civility. We should allow each
other to vote in privacy, calm, and safety at the polling place. We should respect the
election officers who volunteer to serve. They are members of both political parties
and our community. They are trained to uphold the law, oversee a fair process, and
provide excellent customer service. They deserve to feel safe in the important work
they do. Our community and democracy depend on both accurate, fair elections and
respect for one another.
Your Office of Elections and Electoral Board have taken many steps to expand voting
opportunities, improve election security, ensure accuracy, and provide transparency
for PWC elections. If you have concerns, we are here to listen. Please contact our
