De Lisle 2011 Project guide

Always take care while working on this project, always wear protective
glasses when you are testing the gun, do not point the gun at any human or
animal.
I am not liable for any damage done while you are working on this project
or using the airsoft gun.

This is an advanced project, I don’t recommend it for beginners.

Steps include: heat setting threaded inserts, gluing of parts, fitting parts
together by sanding.

Printing of the parts is not included in this guide, use 100% infill for
trigger and bolt parts.
Print the parts in the orientation found in the .stl files with supports.

Assembling the gun
Part 1: The bolt

Required parts:
 M2x5mm screws x 2 pieces (M2x8mm is easy to cut down)
 M2x8mm screw
 M3x10mm screw
 Ender 3 original bed leveling spring
 8mm diameter 10mm long spring
 M5x60 DIN 912 with 22mm long threaded end
 M5 nuts x 3 pieces
Printed parts:
 Firing pin
 Bolt end
 Bolt handle
 Handle knob
 Bolt front
 Nozzle
Step 1:
Insert the M5 screw in the firing pin, and slide the 8mm spring on the screw:

Step 2:
Insert the firing pin in the bolt end, make sure the firing pin moves freely in the bolt end with as
little friction as possible, this will ensure consistent FPS

Step 3:
Insert the Ender 3 bedspring in the front of the bolt end, screw on the 3 nuts on the screw. The
opening in the front is hexagonal shaped to prevent the bolt from spinning out of place.
Step 4:
Assemble the rest of the bolt. Put the handle knob on the bolt handle and secure it with an
M3x10mm screw. Put the handle on the bolt end, the bolt front should fit on the bolt end and the
handle should spin freely in 90° degrees. Insert the nozzle in the front, and screw in the two
M2x5mm screws in the back, and the one M2x8mm screw in the front – into the nozzle.
Part 2: The trigger assembly

Required parts:
 M3x10mm screws x 2
 M3x14mm screw
 AEG M4 trigger
 Trigger spring
 6mm spring
Printed parts:
 Trigger box left side
 Trigger box right side
 Firing pin sear
 Valve knocker

Prerequisite: Sand the inside of the sear and the outside of the valve knocker until the valve knocker
can move freely in the firing pin sear.
Step 1:
Install the trigger with the spring in the left side of the trigger box.

Step 2:
Install the other side of the trigger box, and secure with the two M3x10mm screws. Test that the
trigger can be pulled and resets to its original position.

Step 3:
Install the firing pin sear and slightly screw in the M3x14 screw:

Step 4:
Install the valve knocker spring under the sear:
Step 5:
Install the valve knocker, and screw in the M3x14mm screw all the way. Test the mechanism: apply
pressure to the firing pin sear and pull the trigger, the sear should move. After releasing the trigger
and sear it should reset
Part 3: The receiver

Required parts:
 M3 heat set inserts x 4 pieces
 M3x8mm screws x 3 pieces
 M3x14mm screw
 Rolling pin / Filament piece
 Cut down pen spring
Printed parts:
 Receiver top part
 Receiver bottom part
 Bolt catch
 Rail
 Hop-Up dial
 Hop-Up dial insert

Prerequisite: The M3 heat set inserts are secured in the top part of the receiver then the receiver
parts are slightly sanded inside and glued together.

Step 1:
Place the hopup dial in its place on the rail, place the rail on top of the receiver and secure with
M3x8mm screws.
Step 2:
Install the bolt catch spring on the left side of the receiver, place the bolt catch in its place and
secure it with a rolling pin or a piece of filament.
Part 4: Assembling the receiver, trigger and bolt

Required parts:
 M3x16mm screw
 M2x8mm screw x 2 pieces
Previously assembled parts:
 Trigger mechanism
 Bolt
 Receiver

Step 1:
Insert the trigger mechanism into the bottom of the receiver, and secure with the three screws. The
M3x16mm screw goes in the front-top hole on the trigger box, the two M2 screws in the rear of the
trigger box.
Step 2:
Insert the bolt from the rear into the receiver. The bolt catch should prevent it from being removed
until you press the button for it.

Step 3:
Test the function of the bolt and trigger assembly. Pulling the bolt handle upwards should cock the
firing pin, the firing pin sear should prevent it from returning forward. Pressing the trigger should
release the firing pin. The bolt should be easy to operate in all directions.

Released position:
Part 5: Assembling the body:
Required parts:
 M4x30 screws x 2 pieces
 M4 nuts x 3 pieces
 Ender 3 bedscpring
 M6 washer
 M6 nut
Printed parts:
 Body left side
 Body right side
 Magazine catch
 Magazine release

Step 1:
Insert the M4 nut in the body and magazine release.

Step 2:
Place the M6 washer and M6 nut in its place:
Step 3:
Assemble the two sides of the body, and secure with one M4x30 screw at the rear. Place the
magazine catch in its place.

Step 4:
On the left side of the body, insert the Ender 3 bedspring in the hole, and screw on the magazine
release button.
Part 5: The HopUp unit

Required parts:
 M2x8mm screws x 2 pieces
 GBB HopUp bucking
 GBB inner barrel
 HopUp Nub
Printed parts:
 HopUp chamber left side
 HopUp chamber right side
 HopUp arm

Step 1:
Assemble the bucking and the barrel, and place it in the right side of the hopup chamber.
Step 2:
Place the other half of the chamber on top, and screw the sides together with the two M2x8mm
screws.

Step 3:
Place the hopup arm in it place, and secure it with a pin or piece of filament.

Step 4:
Insert the nub in its place and rotate the arm on it. Check if the nub is big enough to press the
bucking when you apply pressure to the arm
Part 6: Installing the hopup and outer barrel

Part required:
 The assembled hopup unit
 The assembled receiver
 M4 AEG outer barrel
 M4 AEG barrel nut

Step 1:
Place the inner barrel in the end of the outer barrel. Start pushing the hopup chamber in the front of
the receiver. Make sure that the screw in the hopup dial is not protruding into the place of the hopup
chamber.

Step 2:
Push the barrel and hopup unit in until the rim of the outer barrel is flush with the receiver
Step 3:
Screw on the barrel nut. Applying too much pressure may damage the plastic threads! Use barrel
washers under the barrel nut if the fit is not tight enough.

Step 4:
Test the hopup by rotating the dial on top and looking through the barrel with the bolt removed.
