Your class has listened to a radio discussion about how famous people can influence
teenagers. Here are the notes you have made.

Ways that famous people can influence teenagers:


• set a good example in their day-to-day life
• give useful advice about growing up
• support good causes and donate money

Some opinions from the radio discussion:


• ‘Some celebrities don't behave very well. Actions speak louder than words.’
• ‘Sometimes teenagers pay more attention to what celebrities say than to what their parents or
teachers say.’
• ‘Celebrities can help raise teenagers’ awareness of social problems.’

Write an essay discussing two of the ways in your notes that celebrities can influence
teenagers. Say which is the most effective way of influencing teenagers and give
reasons to support your opinion.
