carefully, as it outlines the steps and requirements in detail for the application process.
Application Process Overview
The selection process consists of seven steps that you must complete within specified
timelines to be considered for a place on the programme. Please follow each step carefully:
Step 1: Cisco Get Connected Course
• Duration: Up to 30 hours
• Requirement: Achieve an 80% pass mark
• Deadline: Must be completed by Wednesday 21st August
• Details: This is a beginner-level course covering digital basics. You may retake the test if
you do not achieve the required pass mark initially.
Step 2: Aptitude Test
• Duration: 40 minutes
• Requirement: Complete and pass this online test
• Deadline: Must be completed by Wednesday 11th September
• Details: The test link will be sent after successful completion of the 'Cisco Get
Connected' course.
Step 3: English Language Proficiency Test
• Duration: 30 minutes
• Requirement: Only applicable if English is not your first language. See note below**
• Dates: Timeslots will be available between 16th – 30th September
• Details: This is a proctored exam that monitors your desktop, webcam, video, and audio
while you undergo the test.
Step 4: Pathway Webinar
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Requirement: Attendance is mandatory
• Webinar Dates:
o Software Developer: Wednesday 9th October @10am
o Cybersecurity Analyst: Thursday 10th October @10am
o Data Analytics: Friday 11th October @10am
• Details: The webinar will include a presentation on the technical aspects of your
chosen pathway, the study expectations, participation expectations , details of
the work-based project and the Career support service.
Step 5: Group Interview
• Duration: 45 minutes
• Dates: Timeslots will be available between 12th – 25th October
• Details: The top 50 applicants in each pathway will be invited. Each participant will have
3 minutes to introduce themselves, share their expectations, and discuss what excites
them about the programme.
Step 6: Selection
• Duration: An internal selection process will take place
• Details: The top 25 candidates for each pathway will be chosen
• Dates: Successful candidates will be emailed a Letter of ORer and the training
schedule for their chosen pathway
Step 7: Acceptance and Registration
• Requirement: Sign a Letter of O[er
• Start Date: Programme will start Monday 11th November
• Details: Successful applicants will begin their online training with CENIT College.
**Further details on Step 3 English Language Proficiency Test
Our policy to establish if a learner must complete the test or not is :
1. The learner if requested, must prove they are a citizen of any one of the nations listed
below.
2. If the learner is not a citizen of one of these nations, they have to prove they have
previously received an English language certification at B2 level or above or
3. the learner can provide evidence that they have previously completed studies at the
same level or higher level than the programme they are applying for through English
Where the applicant does not satisfy any of the above requirements, they will be required to take
the CENIT College English Language proficiency test.
