Phishing is a form of social
engineering assault that is
frequently used to obtain credit card
numbers and login passwords from
users. It happens when a victim is
tricked into opening an email, text
message, or instant message by an
attacker posing as a reliable source.
HOW IT
WORKS
an attacker obtains the phone
number or email address of a victim.
Then, what seems to be the victim's
bank sends them an email or text
message. The phishing message
requests the recipient to log into their
bank account and makes reference to
an expiring special deal, possible
identity theft, or something similar.
EXAMPLE

Let’s say august was on the phone with a
woman who claimed to be her mother
asking for money. She believed in the
woman thinking she was her mother
sending her money thinking she will come
back to her !! She ended up sending the
unknown woman money but then ending
up with 0 money and 0 mom

awareness of potential attack vectors is
your best line of protection against
phishing. Remember that certain clone
emails might look quite convincing, so
make sure that everyone in your business
looks at the sender's email address and
confirms that it's real.
