For those who work as firemen, construction workers, police officers, and other
vocations, teamwork is essential. Because each team member plays a crucial role in
the duties, they cannot be completed by one person alone. Instead, they must work
together to accomplish their missions and address problems.

From my point of view, some jobs are best done alone like creative jobs. Candidly,
most designers and artists work alone because they need time to think and let their
creativity flow. Only they know the progress of the work and what they want to do.
By contrast/Additionally, many jobs require and depend on group work. Teamwork
helps to solve problems quickly and easily. And especially, there are jobs that need to
team up like firefighters or policeman.
3. Why do you think some people do not like each other in the workplace?
Work style causes some disagreement, worker tend to protect their opinion in some
projects which create conflicts among people in one group so they don’t have good –
competition for promotion (advancement) which can lead to jealousy, envy and harm
among co worker. They work unfairly.

1. Do you think neighbors are important?
Definitely yes, getting on well with your neighborsis really good for your social life
and give you a good sense of community. I mean it’s always nice to have someone to
talk with about what is going on in your neighborhood and on top of this a good
relationship with your neighbors can come in handy in emergency situations. For
example, when you suddenly run out of ingredients for your dinner. It saves a lot of
hassle if you can borrow them from your neighbors or it always good to have someone
to keep an eye on your property when you are out of town

Be friendly and considerate (ân cần). When I come across my neighbor, greet them
with the smile. This can help establish positive relationship.

I think there are many ways to start a friendship with our neighbors and it can be as
easy and simple as striking up a conversation while we are waiting for the lift or

It depends on place

their day accomplishing their work; modernization and industrialization create barriers
to build relationship with neighbors.
By contrast, people get along well with those who lives next doors / their neighbors.
“Better a neighbor near than a brother far off”, as the saying goes. In Vietnam,
especially in the countryside, neighbor relationship sometimes is placed much greater
emphasis than blood ties relationship. Neighbors are willing to help each other

Yes. Due to the fast pace of life, people tend to eat outside and prefer going to
restaurants. I think because of hectic schedule, people don’t have time to cook and
prepare meals by themselves, they pay more attention for their works.

Banh mì: western cuisine
Rice: there are many dishes made from rice. Personality, I like to eat all dishes made
from rice.
7. How are the eating habits now in your country different from eating habits in the
past?
In the past, due to wars and poverty, Vietnamese people did’t eat rich protein food, but
the simple meal was include rice, vegetable, meat and fish because most people were
farmers and fisherman, they were very hard working. Therefore, they used their fruits
to prepare meal for family and my country is near to sea so there are variety of
seafood. On the other hand, nowadays, people tend to eat junk food and proceeded
food. They have a lot of dishes choices such as Thailand, korean, Western foods so
they often dined out in restaurants.

The easiest way to provide yourself with another cultural perspective is to socialize
with the local.
Well, I am sophormore in Hanoi University and my university specializes in foreign
language training. And my major is Spanish. Therefore, I meet a lot of foreigners in
my university. Today, I would love to talk about my profesional, Paloma.
She originally comes Spain, and she is Spanish teacher in Vietnam.
We met for the first time when I got to level B1. She teaches me writing and speaking
skills.
She has a good appearance with a fair complexion of brown hair, tall nose and big
brown eyes.
She can easily grab people’s attention with just a glance with her beauty. Paloma is
very friendly and is as fresh as a daisy. One characteristic of Spanish people is that
they are very welcoming and hospitable. She always cares and asks a lot of things with
the students. My teacher always not only creates a positive and fun classroom
atmosphere but also have a effective method to provide knowledge to students.
Although there are many language and cultureal barriers, we have very useful lessons.
She shares a lot of things in her country about festivals, cuisine, custom. I feel very
interested.
Fortunately, I have the opportunity to do scientific research with her. She guided me
wholeheartedly and gave me a lot of advice. She helps me improve my pronunciation
and the vocabulary.
