CIRCLE

CLASS-10
1 . The length of two tangents drawn from an external point to a circle are equal.
2 . In fig , if AB = AC , prove that BE = EC

3. A circle is touching the side BC of ∆ 𝐴𝐵𝐶 at P and touching AB and AC pro-ng at Q and R respectively prove that
1
AQ = 2 perimeter of ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶.
4. In fig , the incircle of ∆ 𝐴𝐵𝐶 touches the sides BC , CA and AB at D , E , F respectively. Sow that -
1
AF + BD + CE = AE + BF + CD =2 (𝑃𝑒𝑟. ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶)

5 . A circle touches all four sides of a quadrilateral ABCD . prove that - AB +CD = BC + DA .
6 . If all the side of a ||gram touch a circle , show that ||gram is rhombus.
7 . Prove that a ||gram circumscribing a circle is a rhombus .
8 . PA and PB are tangents from P to the circle with centre O . At point M a tangent is drawn cuting PA at K and PB at
N . prove that KN=AK+BN as in figure

9 . ABCD is a quadrilateral such that ∠𝐷 = 900. A circle C (O, r) touches the sides AB , BC , CD and DA at P , Q , R
and S resp. If BC= 38cm, CD=25cm & BP=27cm find r .
10 . A circle is inscribed in a ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶 having sides 8cm and 12 cm as in fig find AD, BE and CF

11 . Prove that the tangents at the extremities of any chord makes equal angle with the chord .
12 . From an external point P, two tangents PA and PB are drawn to the circle with centre O . prove that OP is
perpendicular bisector of AB.
13 . Two tangents TP and TQ are drawn to a circle from an external point T prove that ∠𝑃𝑇𝑄 = 2∠𝑂𝑃𝑄 where O is
the centre.
14 . The radii of two concentric circles are 13 and 8 cms AB is diameter of the bigger circle BD tangent to smaller
circle touching at D find AD.

r/2) at C prove that

AC=CB
18 . In two concentric circles prove that all chords of the outer circle which touches inner circle are equal in length.

meet the circles again at B and C resp. Let the point P be located so that AOPQ is ||gram .prove that P is the
circumcentre of ∆ 𝐴𝐵𝐶.
20 . Two circles with centres A and B of radii 3cm and 4cm resp. intersect at two point C and D such that AC and BC
are tangents to the two circles .Find the length of common chord CD .
21 . If an isosceles ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶 in which AB=AC=6cm is inscribed in a circle of radius 9cm .find the area of triangle.

tangent to the circle . find the length AB.
