1. Purpose
Cleaning and operating procedure for sampling booth.
2. Scope
This SOP shall be applicable to quarantine.
3. Responsibilities
a. QC officer
4. Procedure:
a. Cleaning:
i. Clean the outer surface and working table of sampling booth with a lint free cloth
moistened in 70% IPA solution.
ii. Clean the working table of sampling booth before and after every operation.
iii. Clean the outer surface of sampling booth daily.
iv. Clean the pre-filters of sampling booth once in a month with compressed air and
record.
b. Operation:
i. Switch on the airflow half an hour before starting the work.
ii. Check and ensure that the manometer reading is as per the specified limit (0.5
inches)
iii. Perform the sampling under the sampling booth.
iv. After completion of sampling, clean the working table with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol.
v. Switch off the & Air flow after cleaning
vi. Record the activity in log book.
c. Precautions:
i. Check the calibration status of the manometer.
ii. Switch on the “Air flow” of sampling booth 30 minutes before the sampling.
iii. If the manometer reading is less than or more than half, inform Engineering
department or contact supplier immediately.
d. Calibration:
i. Once in 6 months get the sampling booth calibrated by supplier.
