Directions
This is one way you could use these task cards:
§ Give each student a problem (as you pass the problems out

you can differentiate by giving the more complicated
problems to the higher students and the easier problems to
the lower students without them noticing).
§ Each student should work out their problem in the
Task
corresponding box on the recording page.
§ Teacher checks and initials each student’s paper for their
problem (initial in the box in the bottom corner). This way
every student begins with the right answer.
Cards
§ Students will use the following steps to complete the rest of
the problems:
1. Stand up, hand up, pair up with another student.
2. Solve each others problems.
3. Check each others answers , coach if incorrect and
initial that problem on their partner’s paper.
Students keep their original card.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 until every problem is
completed or time is up.
