Reducing Sugary Drink Consumption
Reducing Sugary Drink Consumption
In fact, the phenomenon that there are more and more sweetened drinks
consumed can be attributed to two primary factors. First and foremost,
people usually consume drinks rich in sugar after school or work
because they feel more energetic and relaxed whenever they drink that
kind of drink. Secondly, people, especially teenagers, tend to do things
that are trendy all over the world. For instance, there are a huge number
of famous milk tea brands having commercials that have attracted
teenagers from many countries. Moreover, children are not warned
about the consequences of consuming too much milk tea, so the
butterfly effect is still followed by teenagers.

Sa: The picture details the process of making compost from organic waste.
From an overall perspective, there are five main stages in the process, commencing with
preparing plastic containers and culminating with completing compost which is ready to be
used in the garden.
At the beginning of the process, a plastic container having a volume of two cubic meters and
two small holes at each side is required in order to contain. In the next stage, some organic
wastes including newspaper, grass and food are put into the container respectively, and
there are three different layers having a depth of 15 centimetres for each layer.
At the subsequent stage of this process, nitrogen and hot water are added into the mixture
for the purpose of depositing these wastes. After that, once the mouth of the vessel is
sealed, the mixture is heated for six months and the gas is released through the four holes
during the heat process. Finally, fertilizer is produced, ready to be used for gardening.
An: The flowchart delineates how fertilizer is manufactured from organic waste.
From an overall perspective, there are five main steps in the process, commencing with
preparing a plastic container and culminating with complete compost which can be used.
At the beginning of the process, a plastic container with a capacity of two cubic meters is
required. Next, air is needed for the production so it will flow into the container through
several holes on the body of the container. In the next stage, small pieces of organic waste
are put into the container to form three layers including food, grass and newspaper
respectively, with 15 centimeters of each.
The process continues with adding water at high temperature and nitrogen to create a new
mixture in the container. The resulting mixture will be heated over six months in the next
stage. During the heating process, the gas released from the mixture escapes through the
hole. Finally, the product which is composted is complete and ready to go for gardening.

Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in
every subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
idea exchange: n.
meticulous: a. tỉ mỉ
careful: a.
Sa: There is an increasingly common idea that universities should give the same
educational opportunities to men and women students. From my perspective, I would
partly concur with that idea for the reasons I will below.
On the one hand, having an equal number of students between male and female
brings certain benefits to each gender. First and foremost, both genders should have
the chance to pursue their dreams. Everyone has their own jobs that they really want
to have in the future, and there should not have any barriers to them to realize their
dreams. Secondly, there will be gender discrimination if universities tend to accept
more men or women students. As a result, there could be arguments of the public to
those universities that bias one gender.
On the other hand, I would argue that there would be disadvantages of having the
same numbers of male and female students. To begin with, there are many ologies
that are more suitable for one gender than another. For example, army departments
are more suitable for men than women students because that field necessitates
strength and swift wit. In that case, erolling more male students than women helps
the countries strengthen their army forces. Moreover, having the same numbers of
male and female students could be really hard for universities because one’s ability
is different from others. For example, men students tend to have better marks than
women in technical subjects.
To conclude, having equal numbers of men and women students is fair to both
genders. However, universities should accept students flexibly for the purpose of
improving the productivity of every subject.
An: There is an increasingly common phenomenon that universities should have the
same educational opportunities for both male and females. From my perspective, I
absolutely disapprove of this idea for the reasons I will outline below.
First and foremost, they must win their opportunities to enter the universities by their
ability and regardless of male or female. In this day and age, some hot majors like
logistics, marketing attract many students of both men and women; however, the
school board should be fair in their admission by taking the results from the top to
the bottom. If they depend on the equal proportion of gender, they will create an
educational injustice. For example, a boy and a girl both apply for marketing but
because of gender balance, the boy is accepted but the girl fails even though she
has a higher score. Therefore, the universities should rely on the effort and ability of
each student, not gender.
Another point to consider is that having the same number of men and women on all
degree courses is simply unrealistic. Students' numbers on any courses depend on
the applications that the universities receive. In fact, many courses are more popular
with one gender than the other, and it would be not practical to aim for equal
proportions. Some majors require a large number of men students like firemen
because they have better health than women; therefore, it would be difficult to fill
these courses if fifty per cent of the places needed to go to females.
The maps below show a beachfront area in Australia in 1950 and today.

Sa: The diagrams detail changes made to the layout of the seashore in Australia
from 1950 to the present day.
The initial from the maps is that there has been considerable changes with the most
noticeable one being the construction of the entertainment places.
In 1950, there was a main street to the north of the beach which gave access to a
car park. The playground, dining tables and pavilion were built respectively to the
south of that street. Moreover, two swimming pools which were 25 meters in length
were located in front of the beach, there are one pool to the north-western of the
beach and one pool next to the left of the lighthouse which was sited to the east of
the waterfront area.
The two swimming pools, dining tables, pavilion and the lighthouse locations have
not been changed. However, the size of the pool to the north-western of the beach
has been doubled. Another noticeable point is the expansion of the street, which
gives access to the lighthouse. The playground has been demolished to make way
for another car park. A new restaurant anda surf clubs have been erected to the west
of the seashore. Finally, the present day has seen the erection of another surf club
between the 25 meters pool and the lighthouse.
An: The maps detail modifications made to the layout of a coast in Australia from
1950 to the present.
The initial impression from the maps is that there has been considerable change with
the most noticeable one being the construction of some buildings and the road.
In 1950, the road only went to the car park, which was located next to the pavilion.
On the south side of the road, it also had a playground and four dining tables from
the left to right. Two 25 meter-pools were situated at the northeast and northwest
corners of the beach. There was a lighthouse to the south-east of the beach.
The area has observed innovations with the extension of the road to give access to
the lighthouse. The playground has been knocked-down to make way for a car park.
The size of the pool situated at the north-west corner has been extended by half.
There did not use to be a restaurant to the northwest of the beach, but the last few
years have seen the building of one. A notable change has been the erection of a
surf club in front of the restaurant and another one on the opposite side.

Sa: There is an increasingly phenomenon that urban areas, rural areas and oceans
are polluted by plastic waste. From my perspective, that phenomenon brings many
drawbacks to the Earth, yet can be solved with suitable approaches from people all
over the world.
In fact, the mentioned phenomenon has two primary effects. First and foremost,
using a lot of plastic products pollutes the surrounding air and has bad effects on
people's health. The reason is that the amount of plastic materials is quite numerous,
so the exploration of plastic materials is easier. That makes the consumption of
plastic goods popular all over the world. However, after being used, these goods are
discharged into the environment and then they will be burned. The emission of toxic
gases from that process makes the air polluted seriously, which results in diseases
such as lung disease. Secondly, many people who are unaware of the
consequences of plastic waste discharge them into the oceans. Therefore, the sea
animals could get hurt or even eat them, which damages their life.
Needless to say, there should be suitable measures to curb the issue. To begin with,
the government should encourage the public to take their own bags whenever they
go shopping, so the amount of plastic bags used in markets could be reduced. The
environmental condition could be improved significantly thanks to minimizing the
amount of plastic waste released into the environment. Moreover, there should be
volunteer organizations which are willing to clean the rubbish on the seashore or
even help animals whose health is damaged by these plastic waste. For instance,
there is an organization named Animal Discovery which is looking for sea-calfs
having problems with fishing nets used by people, and they have saved a lot of poor
animals.
In conclusion, using plastic products brings many drawbacks such as making the air
polluted and damaging people's and animals’ health. However, some measures such
as bringing our own bags to the markets or volunteering to save animals which have
problems caused by plastic waste are efficient in tackling it and should be taken into
account.
More and more plastic is polluting cities, countryside and oceans in the world. What
are the problems caused by plastic waste? What measures should be taken to solve
it?
AN: There is an increasingly common phenomenon that more and more urban
areas, outskirts and oceans are polluted by discharging plastic waste. From my
perspective, this problem can have many negative effects on the environment and
there are some certain solutions to help this situation.
In this day and age, many people have a tendency to use plastic products such as
plastic bags, bottle because it is convenient. For example, when we go shopping, we
do not need to bring anything to the store because supermarkets or shops always
have plastic bags. However, with each merchandise we utilize a plastic bag and it
will increase exponentially. With a large amount of plastic waste, people who live in
the countryside do not allow for dumping this trash and then these trash will linger in
the city and ruin the beauty of cities. Secondly, because of releasing plastic waste in
the ocean, a lot of sea creatures are eaten and die en masse. For example, in the
past, they have seen a dead whale drifting ashore after swallowing a plastic bag.
Needless to say, there should be suitable measures to solve the problem. To begin
with, the government should encourage residents to use materials such as paper
bags or bring their own bags when they go shopping. These methods will help to
reduce the amount of plastic bags. In addition, at the school or plant, they should
organize a go green campaign to raise awareness of environmental problems. In
addition, each person must have an awareness of protecting the environment and
this is the most important factor to improve the environment problem.
To conclude, using plastic products has caused negative effects on both marine,
land animals and humans. To solve these issues, the government has to launch
some methods like using eco-friendly materials or organizing a green campaign.
Some people think that technological development can help reduce crimes while others
believe that it would encourage crimes. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

A: It is controversial that some people suppose that technology creates opportunities for
criminals to perform their acts while others contend that the development of technology
can help to prevent crimes. From my perspective, I would subscribe to the latter opinion for
the reasons outlined below.
On the one hand, it is hard to deny that there are certain good arguments to the notion that
development in technology has paved the way for a kind of crime: cyber-crime. First and
foremost, information thievery in which a person's information can be stolen and then sold
to the third party, who, in a positive case, are advertising companies. However, in some
worst cases, you can lose your money or your privacy is violated. For example, in recently, in
Vietnam, it’s occurred a phenomenon that a person pretending to be a police officer calls
residents and requires them to fine for an amount of money with the purpose of
appropriating your property. Secondly, on social platforms, when we show too much private
information, the crime can take advantage of this to the public or track your movements.
This will make your life always in a state of being tracked and losing privacy.
On the other hand, I would advocate that technology advancement has helped solve cases
faster and prevent criminals' activities. To begin with, in urban areas, almost all the roads
have CCTV and it helps to reduce the circumstances of running a red light. Moreover, when
there is a traffic accident and the crime escapes, relying on CCTV footage the police can
easily find him. Another point to consider is that high-tech can hinder cyber-crime from
stealing personal information or accessing confidential data. Besides that, it can help to
deter a group of people from spreading violent information.
To conclude, although technology development can bring some troubles and create cyber-
crime, in reality, it can help avert criminals' activities through modern equipment.
Some people think that technological development can help reduce crimes while others
believe that it would encourage crimes. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

S: It is controversial that some people suppose that the development of technology leads to
the increase of crimes while others contend that technological development minimizes
crime rates. I would subscribe to the latter opinion for the reasons outlined below.
On the one hand, it is hard to deny that there are certain good arguments to the notion that
thanks to the development of technology, there are various ways for people to commit
offenses. First and foremost, in these modern days, social media networks are accessed by
people all over the world such as Facebook, Twitter,... Many people are unaware of the
consequences of publicizing their individual information on the Internet, so they tend to be
enticed by crimes. The Internet users’ information such as phone numbers, identity card
numbers, account numbers could be exposed, which makes the crimes infiltrate easily and
seize the Internet users’ fortune. Secondly, crimes also can cheat on people by texting to
their phones fake messages and force them to pay a fine.
On the other hand, I would advocate that technological development limits the number of
crimes. To begin with, contemporary equipments such asCCTV footage makes citizens more
careful in following the laws. Nowadays, cameras are used in most streets all over the world
in order to monitor people in obeying the traffic laws. For example, if a commuter blows the
red light, her or his count could be seen by the police through cameras and they have to pay
a fine. As a result, thanks to that equipment, people would not be subjective in obeying the
laws. Moreover, positioning devices are also used by the local government to determine
people’s location. Therefore, it is difficult for crimes to commit offenses such as hijacking
other people’s cars, motorbikes…. As a result, the number of crimes would be decreased
significantly.
To conclude, although crime rates could be encouraged thanks to technological
development, many modern equipments such as CCTV footage, positioning devices…
minimize effectively the number of crimes.

We cannot help everyone in the world that needs help, so we should only be
concerned with our own communities and countries. To what extent do you
agree or disagree with this statement?
Sa:
There is an increasingly common idea that people do not have the ability to
assist the other internationally, so people should focus on our societies and
nations. From my perspective, I would partly concur with that idea for the
reasons I will outline below.
On the one hand, helping people who are living in the same communities
brings certain benefits to each person. To begin with, it is easier for people to
assist their societies than other countries because we can easily realize who
are the people that need help. Moreover, assisting our communities means
that people are helping themselves. For instance, if people donate a small
amount of money to other people who are suffering from covid-19, the public's
health including their health would be ensured to be better.
On the other hand, I would argue that people extremely have the ability to help
other people in other communities and nations. Firstly, these days with
contemporary technology, people have many ways to help foreigners. We can
help the needy by sending them money through online banking. Secondly, we
can invite donations from the public through charity websites. For example, in
Vietnam, there is a page on social networking named Change the world which
is established in order to insert the difficulties of children in Africa and seek
help from the Internet users. As a result, life conditions of many poor African
children are improved significantly.
There is an increasingly common idea that we can easily help the needy
around us but it is impossible to help people out of our country. From my
perspective, I would partly concur with this idea for the reason I will outline
below.
On the one hand, it is easier to recognize someone who needs help in our
communities and countries than the other in the world. In charity
organizations, they know areas which need help in the city; therefore, they
can organize a charity trip to that place and hand them the gifts or money.
For example, in high school, students are allowed to go to charity in
orphanages or centers for children with disabilities in their cities because
they do not have to go too far and can easily find the information about
these places. Besides that, with foreign who need help we do not have
enough ability to go there and help them. In some situations, we help them
by transferring money foreign charity. However, if we do not deeply explore
information about these organizations, we can be scammed.
On the other hand, I would argue that we can also help foreign people
through technology and celebrities. In this day and age, because of the
development of technology, we can send the needy money by banking
online instead of traveling to those places. Moreover, we can help the
foreign needy via the celebrities. For instance, there is a charity
organization in Africa, which is organized by Quang Linh. This organization
is really famous and reliable; therefore, we can help people in Africa by
sending money or clothes through this organization.
To sum up, we should help people in trouble around us if it is within our
abilities; however, we also can help the foreign if we can find out reliable
ways.

of the building consist of a kitchen, canteen, and storeroom from the left to right
respectively and there is a toilet opposite the larger entrance.
In the future, two grasses will be cut down to make for an outdoor area to the
left and a meeting area to the right. The four office rooms will be replaced by
two office rooms with the double dimension and they will be separated by an
entrance. Another change is that the kitchen and canteen will be demolished and
two office rooms will be built at that place. The toilet will be relocated to the
north-eastern of the building, while between the storeroom and toilet a coffee

An:There is an increasingly common idea that a country with a multicultural
society would have advantages that outweigh disadvantages. From my
perspective, I absolutely advocate that idea for reasons I will outline below.
First and foremost, living in a society that surrounded by people with different
cultural background would encourage tolerance and open-mindedness. In a
country with so many immigrants, if people feel accepted and valued, they
would have motivation to contribute to the society and it will help the country
improve in many fields. Secondly, a country with cosmopolitanism will attract
many tourists around the world. Take America for example, a country with
many ethnicities and attracts a lot of tourists because of its diversity in cuisine,
fashion, and entertainment, it promotes development of tourism.
Another point to consider is that a heterogeneous country would have some
disadvantages; however, it can be solved by the government. To begin with, it
can have racism and this phenomenon has been improved over the countries.
In the past, racial discrimination in America is very serious, but over the
centuries human consciousness has been enhanced and racism only occur in
a small group of peple. As a result, America has become a prosperous nation
and people in this country have solidiary although they are different ethnic.
To conclude, a multicultural country can have some demerits like racism but
now it can be controlled, importantly it brings many benefits to that country like
development of tourism or making it more prosperous.
Sa: There is an increasingly common opinion that communities with different cultures
bring more advantages than demerits for the host countries. From my perspective, I
absolutely disapprove of that idea for the reasons I will outline below.
On the one hand, it is hard to deny that there are some benefits of living in
multicultural societies. First and foremost, communities with various cultures make
people more sociable. Living in these communities helps people to make friends with
others from all over the world. As a result, it is an opportunity to make people from
other ethnicities have a gook looking at their home coutries. Secondly, people’s
knowledge about other parts of the world could be improved while living in
multicultural communities. For instance, there is an international university in Vietnam
named IEC, in which there are many students from America, France and China. That
makes students more well-informed about languages, lifestyles in these nations.
On the other hand, I would advocate that there are more demerits to people who are
living in communities with diverse cultures. The reason is that there could be issues
of ethnic discrimination in these societies. To begin with, many people discount
others from different ethnicities, which leads to conflict between them. For example,
many black people in America are treated unfairly. Many of them are arrested by the
white police without reason, and there are many cases of casuist. Moreover, the
differences of the appearance between ethnicities lead to violence in school. To
illustrate, there are thousands of cases of school violence in Korea each year, which
leads to physical and mental pain in students.
To conclude, although living in
cosmopolitan societies brings some benefits, there are more demerits such as
the ethnic discrimination in many countries.

A: The flow chart details how a storage area is made by concrete canvas.
From an overall perspective, there are eight main steps in the process, commencing
with manufacturing concrete canvas and culminating with storing goods.
At the beginning of the process, the concrete canvas is produced with three layers
including a fibrous top layer, a dry concrete in the middle and a waterproof layer
underneath. After manufacturing, they are loaded on a lorry to transport to the
factory. Following that, these concrete canvases are unpacked and spreaded on the
ground. Next, the canvas is pulled open with a stretch of 10 meters by a rope before
fixing by pegs at the four corners.
The next subsequent step is that the canvas is inflated by an air pump which is laid
behind the canvas. After inflating, it is shaped like a tent and it has a door in front of.
Subsequently, the storage is cleared around by water and it has a height of eight
meters. Finally, the goods are set from 20 to 24 hours and they can be stored after
that.

channeled into the box and heated by the temperature of the box. When the air is
warm enough, it escapes from the outlet. The process of heating water is similar to
air; however, it has a zigzag tube in the box. The water goes through the tube and
the warm water escapes from the outlet.
The diagrams show the structure of solar panel and its use.
zigzag: n.
The pictures detail how a solar panel is made and the use of it.
From an overall perspective, the structure of the solar panel is quite simple and it is
used to warm up air or water.
Regarding the structure of the solar panel, a comparative having an inlet and an
outlet in two different sides is prepared. The inlet plays a role as an entrance where
air or water flow into while the outlet is the place where air or water escapes.
Moreover, a pane of transparent glass is put above the compartment in order to
capture sun rays.
At the beginning of the process, sun rays are absorbed by the glass plate and
converted into heat energy. After that, after being channeled into the compartment
through the inlet, the air is heated by that energy and becomes warm air.
Meanwhile, water flows into the compartment through the inlet and a zigzag pipe,
and then it is heated up to become warm water.
-> Body 1: problems of wider gap between the rich and the poor
Sa: There is an increasingly common phenomenon that people who are wealthy are
becoming wealthier, while people having difficulties in living conditions are getting
poorer, so the gap between them is becoming wider day by day. From my
perspective, that phenomenon could lead to some demerits to society, yet can be
solved with suitable approaches from the public.
Needless to say, the wide gap between the rich and the poor exerts negative
impacts on those who do not have good living conditions. To begin with, there could
be the contempt of the rich for poor people, especially the young. To illustrate, there
are many wealthy students in Korea who bully others, especially the poor. The poor
have to do illegal things such as buy drugs… if they want to receive money from the
rich. Moreover, the wide gap between them could lead to the increase of crimes.
There are many people who are homeless and do not have money to cover their
everyday needs, which forces them to break the law. They might steal gold, diamond
jewelry from the rich for the purpose of living. Seriously, they could be caught in the
whirlwind of money by the transport of illegal things for rich people.
In fact , there should be suitable approaches to curb the problem. First and foremost,
students should be taught about the respect for other people and they must not
distinguish the poor. That would reduce the discrimination betwen rich and poor
students. Secondly, the government and the public should help the homeless to
construct love houses and encourage them to find stable jobs for the purpose of
making society more [Link] example, there is an organization named
Meaningful life, which invites donations including food, money from the public to
make the poor’s life better.
In conclusion, the wide gap between the poor and the rich has negative impacts on
society such as discrimination between them or the increase of crimes. However,
some measures such as educating students to be aware of the respect for others or
helping the poor to have better life are efficient in tackling it and should be taken into
account.
-> Body 1: problems of wider gap between the rich and the poor
An: There is an increasingly common phenomenon that the life of rich people is quite
different from the poor. This situation can lead to various problems which have
negative effects on society. This essay is aimed to discuss the possible issue behind
this practice and certain solutions to help this situation.
In fact, the wider gap between rich and poor can cause a lot of problems like social
imbalance. To begin with, there is a paradox that the rich people usually waste their
food or money on entertainment, while other poor people do not have enough food to
eat. For example, in Campuchia many rich people spend most of their time in
casinos and waste their money just for fun, while nearly 18 percent of residents in
this country live below the poverty line. This case can be due to infectious diseases,
starvation in slums or make the young generation fall into social evils. Moreover,
education has become inaccessible to the poor. The sponsors from the rich class
have to pay a lot of money in college; therefore, quality education has become very
expensive and it has become impossible to purchase for the poor students.
Needless to say, there should be suitable measures to solve the issue. First and
foremost, the government should have some solution to control the property of the
rich like leaving taxes or checking where the money comes from. This solution will
help to avoid money laundering and it will make the physical distance decrease.
Secondly, the government should help poor students by giving them scholarships to
spur them to continue their studies. Moreover, they can raise a fund from the rich
people to help the poor have a better life. As a result, the discrimination between
poor and rich would become decreased.
In conclusion, the gap between the poor and the rich has a negative impact on
society; however
Sa: The chart illustrates the proportion of males and females doing exercise regularly
in Australia in 2010.
Overall, the rate of females doing regular physical activity was higher than that of
males in most age groups. Moreover, there was a positive correlation between the
percentage of women doing frequent exercise and their age.
In detail, the rate of two genders doing regular exercise witnessed the contrasting
trend in the first three age groups from 15 to 44. In particular, the percentage of men
exercising regularly decreased significantly from 52.8 to 39.5 percent, while there
was a slight increase by 4.8 percent from its starting point of 47.7 percent in that of
women. As a result, the gap between that rate of two genders was wider in the 35-44
age group.
Females at the 45-54 age group had the highest percentage which was about 10
percent higher than that of males, being at 53.3 percent. In the age from 55 to 64,
that rate of females was relatively stable while that of male witnessed a slight
increase by two percent. At the oldest age group, the proportion of both genders was
quite equal, around 47 percent.
Sample:
The bar graph details the rates of Australian males and females doing exercise
regularly by age ranges including 15 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, 45 to 54, 55 to 64, and
over 65 in 2010.
As transparent from the graph, it is only in the age bracket 15-24 that the
participation rate in physical activities of males dominated that of their female
counterparts.
In the year 2010, in the youngest group, 52.8% of men in Australia did regular
physical activities, higher than 47.7% of women. In the older groups, 25-34 and 35-
44, a converse correlation was registered for the statistics of males and females as
the former fell considerably to 39.5% while the latter rocketed to 52.5%.
Regarding the older age ranges, the physical participation rate of men aged 45-54
and 55-64 varied from 43.1% to 45.1%. Meanwhile, the data on females circulated
around 53%. The percentages of men and women doing exercise were rather
identical in the elderly group, being 46.7% and 47.1% respectively.
An:
The chart illustrates the share of Australian women and men participating in doing
exercise in 2010.
Overall, the proportion of females was much higher than that figure of males at any
age. Moreover, there was a positive correlation between age and the share of
females.
In detail, the numbers of male from 15 to 24 years made up 52,8 percent, which
exceeded the figure for other ages. The rate of males decreased from 52,8 percent
to 39,5 percent in the age from 35 to 44. There was a positive correlation between
the age and the rate of male in the age range from 45 to over. The figure of men in
the age of 45 to 54 was lower than that figure in the age of 55 to 64 by 2 percent.
This figure in the age range from 65 to over was 46,7 percent.
Regarding the rate of women enjoying exercise was higher than men. This figure
was in ascending order from the age range from 15 to 54. In the age range from 45
to 54, the rate of females ranked the top with 53,3 percent while ranking the bottom
was the age from 15 to 24 with 47,7 percent. There was a decline in the age range
from 55 to over. The number of females from 55 to 64 exceeded that figure of
females from 65 to over, 53 percent compared to 47,1 percent.
Some people say that governments should support care and finance for retired people while

opinion?

Some people say that governments should support care and finance for retired people while
some argue they should save money when they get older. Discuss both views and give
opinion?
An: It is controversial that some people suppose that the governments need to provide
health service and economy for them when they retire while others contend that people
should have their own savings when they get older. From my perspective, I would subscribe
to the latter opinion for the reasons outlined below.
On the one hand, it is hard to deny that there are certain good arguments to the notion that it
is necessary for the government to provide care and financial support for retired citizens.
The old are incapable of labor; therefore, the government should create an amount of money
to support them. This is because some people contribute a lot to the national budget through
the taxes they pay and work hard to create profits for the country. Such taxes can be used to
develop our country such as building hospitals or paying for the officials. Thus with their
contribution in their youth, they deserve a pension in retirement.
On the other hand, I would advocate that the elderly should not rely too much on
government support for a number of reasons. To begin with, this can cause a huge financial
burden on the state budget. Although that is a wealthy country, it also can hardly satisfy
each of their people’s demands. For this reason, every individual in the community should
save their own money to pay for their essential expenses. Another point to consider is that,
with their own money, they can easily solve their problems like disease or struggle with
accidents. As a result, it is really necessary for each person to have their own savings.
In conclusion, the government can have ability to support the old, however, it is only within
certain limits
Sa: It is controversial that some people suppose that retired people should be provided with
financial conditions and care from the government while others contend that they should
economize money when they retire. From my perspective, I would subscribe to the previous
opinion for the reasons I will outline below.
On the one hand, it is hard to deny that there are some cases that do not need support from
the government and they have the ability to cover their everyday needs by saving money.
The first reason is that people could not expend as much as the young. Unlike juveniles, old
people do not spend much money on clothing, entertaining or other living demands. As a
result, support from the government is not really essential in these cases. Secondly, old
parents could receive money from their daughters or sons every month because this is the
evident responsibility of progenies. Therefore, retired people could live on their children.
On the other hand, I would advocate that the government’s help is extremely necessary for
some retired people. To begin with, there are many retired people who do not have progeny,
so they are incapable of paying for daily activities such as food, electrical bills,… Secondly,
doing other extra jobs to earn money have negative impacts on their health such as spine
diseases. As a result, people do not have the ability to live by themselves when they get
older. Therefore, retired people’s lives would be improved by receiving care and finance from
the government. To illustrate, in Vietnam, the government has built many retirement homes
for people who are not taken care of, and that helps them to have better lives.
In conclusion, there might be some retired people who do not really need aid from others;
however, it is necessary for the government to give aid to those who really need help.
Excessive work for financial success can lead to personal exhaustion, stress, and familial conflicts. Such pressures may exacerbate domestic tension and reduce quality of life, posing challenges to maintaining personal well-being and fulfilling family relationships. Recognizing this, individuals and families need to seek work-life balance to mitigate these challenges .
Emailing is the most prevalent internet use across all age groups in Australia, indicating its fundamental role in daily communication. In contrast, activities like social networking and online payments show diminished usage with age, highlighting a shift in internet utilization patterns among different demographics .
Cultural differences significantly impact the effectiveness of learning behavior from books and movies because these media often present universal stories that may not encompass specific cultural practices, such as bowing to elders in Vietnam, which is not depicted in international media. This demonstrates that real-life experiences and culturally-specific education are crucial for imparting sound behaviors that books and media may overlook .
Teenagers relying on books and movies for behavior modeling can face negative effects as they may encounter exaggerated or idealized depictions, potentially leading to confusion between reality and fiction. Negative role models, such as the Joker, may be idealized, leading teenagers to imitate inappropriate behaviors seen in media. In contrast, personal experiences help teenagers learn through mistakes and feedback, providing more realistic behavioral learning .
Gender influences participation significantly, with females generally participating more in regular physical activities across age groups, except for the youngest group where males are more active. This difference highlights potential gender-based motivational or societal influences on exercise habits and suggests targeted approaches to increase physical activity participation for both sexes .
The increase in digital social networking and online payment is more prevalent among younger Australians, with usage peaking in the 15-24 age group, and decreases with age. This trend reflects generational differences in adapting to technology, suggesting a need for more inclusive digital education for older demographics to bridge usage gaps .
Wealth inequality affects educational opportunities as high education costs become a barrier for the poor, while the rich can afford quality education. This disparity undermines societal stability by perpetuating poverty and limiting social mobility. Solutions like scholarships and taxation of wealthier individuals are suggested to address these inequalities .
Major challenges include the financial burden on government resources and ensuring equitable distribution of funds. Proposed solutions involve individuals saving for retirement and the government creating supportive policies to assist those incapable of self-support due to inadequate savings. This mixed approach aims to balance personal responsibility with social support .
Societal narratives often highlight success as a result of hard work, motivating young people to strive for achievements despite potential drawbacks. However, these narratives can also lead to stress, burnout, or dissatisfaction if the realization of such ideals is not met. The balance portrayed between hard work's benefits like success versus drawbacks such as fatigue highlights the complexity of work motivation .
Causes for individuals working harder include economic necessity, desires for career advancement, and familial responsibilities. Implications involve both advantages, such as achieving success and providing for families, and disadvantages, like stress and lack of leisure time. This disparity is driven by individual ambitions and socioeconomic conditions, where those less privileged work harder to achieve parity with peers .
