The given chart compares and contrasts data on the changes in the amount of
investment in 4 different categories (financial assets) by using US dollars over a 26-
year period starting from 1988.

In general, while the figures for all categories experienced an erratic increase over the
given years, those for gold were usually higher than the other three.

More specifically, the value of Gold in US dollars climbed significantly more than any
other categories, an increase of 350 million dollars from 100 million dollars before
reaching a peak at 450 million dollars in 2012 and then saw a considerable decline to
375 million dollars in 2014. By contrast, the figures for Property only grew 140
million dollars between 50 million dollars and 190 million dollars over the same
period. Moreover, the number of Fine Art remained fairly stable at around 95 million
dollars in the first 18 years before fluctuating around 350 million dollars at the end of
the period. One further point to note is that the volume of Company Shares and
Property witnessed a modest rise from 50 million dollars in 1988 to 250 million

Ex: Watching a live performance such as a play, concert, or sporting event is

more enjoyable than watching the same event on television.
live performance
television

It is generally said that watching a live show is more entertaining than watching
events on television. From my perspective, I partly agree with this opinion because
people can gain more benefit from both types of watching, like gaining more valuable
knowledge and prompting many advantages for them.

First, if they are looking for a way to experience something new, watching live shows
is a great option. It cannot be denied that there are so many different types of live
shows available, and viewers/the audience are sure to find one that appeals to them.
Moreover, whether they want to watch a play, a concert, or a sporting event, there is a
live show out there for them. Second, another considerable benefit of live shows is
that they can help people connect with others. In fact, if they feel isolated, watching a
live performance can help them feel connected to the world. This might be because
they will be able to share their love of the show with others, and they may even make
some new friends in the process.

On the other hand, watching events on television…... The reason for this is that people
can organize family bonding and save money when they watch at home. It makes a
significant contribution to the bonding of family members as they can enjoy their
favorite show together and share their quality time with each other, which provides the
opportunity for lifelong memories. Furthermore, TV provides a cheap form of
entertainment when compared to going out to the movies or to a live show, it is
certainly the economical choice.

In conclusion, it seems to me that these types of entertainment both have positive

points and which one is better depends on a person's preference and choices.

- Summarize the main reasons

Ex: Some people believe that reading stories from a book is better than watching
TV or playing computer games for children.

It is generally said that children should prioritize reading stories from a book rather
than watching television or playing games on computers. From my perspective, I
totally advocate this opinion because it helps children to gain more knowledge from
different situations in stories and to bring many advantages for them.

First, reader can greatly achieve valuable knowledge. It cannot be denied that books
give children an opportunity to learn more vocabulary because some authors use a lot
of strange symbols and keywords in their works. Every now and then, stories have
foreigners' languages or new words and they can study. Furthermore, reading stories
benefits them in developing skimming or scanning skills when they read books
tautologie day by day. There can be no doubt that it can have a positive influence on
their writing and increase their vocabulary.

Second, reading will improve the memory of children. In fact, when you read a non-
fiction book, they also consume an enormous amount of information on the subject
they are reading about. Similarly, whenever they read a novel, they have to remember
tons of information about the story's plot and subplots, the characters and their
relationships, and the environment in which the story takes place. Additionally, all of
this new information creates new memories. Moreover, every new memory creates
synapses or strengthens old ones. As a result, it is undeniable that one day, reading
stories from books is more likely to be preferred rather than playing games or
watching television.

In conclusion, it seems to me that reading books brings more benefits to children than
others for the reason mentioned above, because it can develop their memories or
upgrade their ability to use words.

Conclusion

Cách 1: In conclusion, [TOPIC] is a serious issue because of the problems that are
certain to arise. Although these problems are unlikely to be entirely eliminated in the
short term, these are concrete steps to reduce the effects it is having on the current
society.

Cách 2: In conclusion, the main problems seem to be [1st problem] and [2nd
problem]. The key solution would be [1st solution] and [2nd solution], together
with [3rd solution].

Ex: Many people today find they have insufficient time to spend with their
families, because of the pressures of work.
What problems does this create for individuals and their families? What
solutions can you propose? Which would be the most effective solution, in your
view?

Nowadays, with the fast pace and high pressure of modern life, it is more common
that many workers cannot spend enough quality time to be with their loved ones due
to excessive time spent at work. This essay looks at some of the problems caused by
this issue in society, and also several ways in which the situation can be improved.

There are two serious problems arising from this issue which have a negative
effect on people concerned. It cannot be denied that when a person is working long
hours, and thinking about work even outside that time, the ability to relax is severely
curtailed. This can rapidly lead to physical exhaustion and mental anxiety, which
eventually undermine their overall wellbeing. A further serious impact is the
disruption to family relationships, especially with a spouse and children as family
members may soon become accustomed to the absence of a father or mother,
damaging the natural bonds which bind a family together and potentially eroding the
security of the family unit itself. The long term consequent problems of family
breakdown may include depression, poor self-esteem and academic
underperformance.

Regarding potential solutions, numerous ones could be carried out. Perhaps the most
effective and most immediate solution would be for employers to incorporate a
fixed amount of free time into their workers’ schedules. For example, companies
might commit to a ‘no work, phone calls or emails after five pm’ policy, as is being
suggested in Germany at present. This would lessen the anxiety of high workloads
and preserve family time. Another remedy may be to promote the use of relaxation
techniques among workers, so that they make the most of the free time that they have.
Activities ranging from sport to yoga or family events can be used to maximize any
opportunities for de-stressing that already exist.

In conclusion, the fact that people do not have enough time for their family members
is a serious issue because of the problems that are certain to arise. Although these
problems are unlikely to be entirely eliminated in the short term, these are concrete
steps to reduce the effects it is having on the current society.

1. Nowadays food has become easier to prepare. Has this change improved
the way people live? Give reasons for your answer using your own ideas and
experience.

With the industrialization, inhabitants are able to cook their meals in a convenient
ways due to novel electronic appliances and well-prepared ingredients on
supermarket. Some citizens believe this has improved the quality of the daily lives.
I partially agree with this view because some drawbacks on people's lives have
also been created as well.

To begin with, firstly, with the assistance of electronic appliances, people spend
less time in cooking today than in the past. For example, ancient residents burned
wood to cook rice in pots, which was less efficient as comparing with electronic
cookers. Moreover, nowadays, inhabitants are able to purchase well-prepared
meats in supermarkets instead of processing by themselves from poultries. As a
result, this will save them a tremendous amount of time. Despite having hectic
daily activities, they are still able to make healthy meals for their family.
Meanwhile, they also have more time for personal relaxation, social interaction,
family playtime, travelling, and sports activities etc. Their lives will become more
colourful and the standard of lives will be enhanced.

However, under certain situations, the quality of lives will be diminished if the
inhabitants do not pay attention to select healthy ingredients or using proper
cooking tools. For instance, using canned food to cook will enhance the
convenience; however, the preservatives or pesticides contained in canned food
will do harm for consumers' health with unlimited intake. Electric pressure cookers
may also destroy proteins inside meals and may produce toxic substances which
may place human beings' health in danger. Therefore, the change of cooking may
not always benefit people.

In conclusion, without proper selections of nutrient food and safe cooking devices,
people may expose themselves to harmful substances due to above reasons.
Therefore, in order to improve the quality of daily lives, people not only should
select proper nutrient ingredients but also use proper cooking tools

2. Some people prefer to eat at restaurants while others prefer to prepare

and eat at home. Which one do you prefer?

Many people go to the restaurants for a meal whereas the others cook and eat
meals at home. In my opinion, I opt to cook and eat meals at home because I
would argue that it is healthier than to eat at restaurants.

Firstly, many restaurants do not purchase fresh foods since they would like to
decrease the cost of meals. They do not attend to the cleanliness and hygiene of
foods. Hence, some people get poisoned by eating in restaurants. It is particularly
dangerous for children because they are more vulnerable and can be easily ill from
the poor quality of foods. As it is known, many people eat using the same dishes
and drink from the same cups and bottles which are not even properly cleaned. If
these things are not cleaned properly, they can be extremely dangerous for human
health.

Secondly, to prepare and eat foods at home can be more economic especially for a
family. Because to eat at a restaurant frequently would cost a large amount and
that would be pretty tough for low wage earners. The good restaurants that
maintain the quality and hygiene of foods cost a lot that average people won’t be
able to accommodate.
On the other hand, restaurants can offer some advantages. For instance, if you eat
at a restaurant, you can save your time. Because to prepare and eat at home one
needs to spend a considerable amount of time and effort which could have been
used in other constructive works. In addition, some restaurants offer delicious and
variety of meals including foreign menus that we could not make at home on our
own. You can eat awesome meals there and drink wines in a fascinating
atmosphere. Moreover, to prepare and eat at home is a tough task for single and
busy people who have very less spare time. So restaurants can be a better
alternative for those people.
In conclusion, it is considered by many that health is more important than money
and delicious meals. I believe that if we prepare meals at home, we can prepare
foods and dishes properly and we can use healthy ingredients. However, if you eat
at a restaurant, you cannot be sure that the meals and dishes are clean and healthy.

ART

1. The Art should be better funded by the government but there must be
more control over where the money goes.
Discuss your viewpoint on this topic.

Since prehistoric ages, the Art highlights our lives, adds beauty and happiness
and cultivates the taste of culture and uniqueness of the society among people.
However, nowadays creative projects have become very expensive and can not
bring pay-off to its authors. Some people think that the government should pay
for those projects and of course, observe precisely how those funds are being
spent and on what type of projects it is being used.

This is quite obvious that no entity or organisation knows a nation's cultural

aspects and needs better than the government. This is why a government can
evaluate which sphere of cultural life have the necessity of development. It also
achieves its goals of public loyalty by funding a specific field of the Art and by
controlling budget by giving maintenance only to projects they are interested
in.

However, funding the Art selectively can lead artists to the lack of freedom in
expressing themselves. In other words, then those who have powers, will use
the money to regulate cultural life. As a consequence, it can then limit the
imagination and put artists into borders they would be scared to cross. Thus,
here comes the censorship, which has nothing in common with the main
democracy principles. For example, a similar situation emerged in the Soviet
Union, where the government controlled the Art and therefore the only career
an artist could pursue is praising the Communist Party by his creations. This
shows how artworks can become political works when they are very strictly
controlled. As an alternative of letting a government control spending money
on the Art, a non-governmental independent organisation could be established.
It must consist of the best cultural activists from a country. This would add a
certain level of budget control and would guarantee that there are no limits for
the arts and artists.

To conclude, I believe that funding the Art is one of the main tasks of a state,
but the purpose of it should be the development and enhancement of the arts,
not making it serving government's political needs.

2. Creative artists should always be given the freedom to express their own
ideas (in words, pictures, music, film) in whichever way they wish. There
should be no public or government restrictions on what they do.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Undoubtedly, the right of liberty gives influence over talent. For artists, the
privilege ought to be provided for their activities. Since, it encourages them to
perform independently and boost their skills. In my opinion, I totally agree with
this statement because it is an appropriate procedure for expressing ideas.

To begin with, the freedom of work offers the opportunities to apply and
enhance the animated creative skills in practical world. Firstly, an approach
converts the distinct events, languages, images, in a form of sketch for
identification or reorganization, which becomes accessible for a person to
understand a certain situation at a specific time. Such as, a car accident has
taken place, so the sketch of dead bodies helps to identify a particular
personality. Further, the assistance encourages people to express their concern
in a form of gesture or written. Hence, the privilege expertise of artists provides
a way to transform something into understandable manner.

Furthermore, the liberty creates a way to predict and transform the

consequences of planned ideas. Constructing the new houses require map that
the expected results of various opinions before implementation of a particular
plan. Likewise, a building map provides animated look about the design, water
canals along with parking and security system installations. Moreover, a
significant role is being played in the modification and the advancement of
existing technology. Consequently, the independent access to animated work
may provide multiple benefits with respect to development on specific place.

In conclusion, the freedom of field exposes and contributes major benefits for a
human to elaborate their thoughts, while the modernizations in technology have
also been impacted greatly by the artists’ work. I am convinced that it effects
worldwide throughout all the fields.
3. Should museums and art galleries be free of charge for the general public,
or should a charge, even a voluntary charge, be levied for admittance?
Discuss this issue, and give your opinion.

Art portrays the history of a country beautifully. In order to promote art among the
population, some museums and galleries have no entrance fees. However, I am not
in favour of a free admittance due to several reasons. The following paragraphs
will highlight my opinion along with relevant examples.

To commence, as we know, anything that comes for free does not have much
value. The same goes for art-related venues, if they are free, people will simply not
understand the importance of it. Subsequently, the primary idea of promoting arts
may be lost. For example, Registan Square in Samarkand was free of charge for a
month. As a result, many people were coming just to spend time with their friends.
Later, the government had to introduce entrance fees again. Moreover, if art
galleries become overcrowded, people who truly want to discover the paintings
may constantly be distracted by those who come for entertainment.

Adding further, entrance fees help art venues to cover running costs. More
specifically, any museum has a number of maintenance expenses such as cleaning,
air-conditioning, paying salaries, regularly painting and etc. The government will
have to financially support the venue if it stops charging people for entrance.
These funds could rather be spent on more vital sectors. For instance, on public
health care and education.

To conclude, I personally believe that museums should charge visitors. This may
be beneficial for both, the venues as they can get money to maintain themselves,
and individuals, they will value art more.

4. It has recently been announced that a new movie theatre may be built in
your neighbourhood.
Do you support or oppose this plan? Why?

I live in a small and lovely town, and we do not have many facilities here, so I
would say that I support building a new movie theatre here. However, there are
some advantages and disadvantages to building a new movie theatre, this essay
is going to discuss them and gives the reasons why I support it.
On the one hand, there are some drawbacks to constructing a movie theatre
near my neighbourhood. One of them is that it will contribute to a lot of noise
before and after the construction. For example, during the process of building,
some machines will have a loud voice when they are being processed, after we
accomplish it, the place will aim for entertainment, so a lot of people will
gather around there and might also cause some disturbing noise. In addition,
although the cinema might prosper the economy of the town, it might also
enhance the cost of living here and make some families fall into financial
difficulties.

On the other hand, building a movie theatre can not only boost the economy
but also makes the residents' lives more convenient. For instance, the cinema
can provide an abundance of job vacancies so that the unemployment rate will
decrease; moreover, it can also attract tourists from other regions and makes
the town become a well-known tourist attraction. Furthermore, if we have a
cinema near our houses, we do not have to take a bus to other places, and it will
help people to save time.

In conclusion, as far as I am concerned, I think the overall benefits outweigh

the drawbacks. Therefore, I will definitely support building a movie theatre in
my neighborhoods, it can have a profound impact and make my hometown a
better place.

BOOKS
1. People should read only those books that are about real events, real
people, and established facts.
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Books are referred to as a people's best friends, but it is argued that the group
of individuals ought to read merely those bookswhich are based on true events,
famous personalities as well as discovered true things. If questioned, I agree
with this viewpoint. I would discuss my opinion in the following paragraphs.

There are numerous reasons behind that to read based on true events books, but
the foremost reason is that these types of events can be influenced people's
minds. For example, a well-known scientist “Andrew Mathews” was inspired
by “The untold science” book. This publication is based on scientific
experiments. He did not interest to become a scientist when he was younger.
However, after reading that publication he was truly attracted to science ,and
started experimenting at an early age. Consequent, he became a great scientist
in the UK.

Moreover, real booksalsohelp to change people's behaviour. For instance, a

welfare person “Suet” was inspired by the novel“The Mother Teresa”. Before
his unpaid service to the community, he was a burglar. He was punished in jail.
After the completion of his punishment, he had read that novel. This novelhad
deeply effect on his mind. Because of that, he had left a robbery and joined N.
G. O. And helped people. So based on This factual story can be said that a
novelis the best way to change people's behaviour.

To conclude, it can be commented that, how bookshelp to change people's

mindset as well as influence their minds.

2. Reading fiction (such as novels and short stories) is more enjoyable than
watching movies.
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Books and moviesare some sort of entertainment for people to spend their
leisure time. Some people think that reading fiction books brings more
enjoyment than watching films. Personally, I do not agree with this opinion.
These paragraphs will explain some reasons for my opinion before.

Firstly, video formats are offering richer content than books. While the books
tell the stories with text and some figures, movies show us some stories with
moving scenes from their actor. Moreover, the supporting audio like sound
effects and songs. This extensive kind of media can bring a stronger message
from the filmmaker to the audience. Besides, it enablesviewers to experience
the same condition as the actors have in the film. For example, in horror
movies, the director applies some horrifying sounds to build the vibe.
Therefore, I think it is more enjoyable due to the immersive experience that
movies offer rather than books.

Another reason, movies can be completed in a certain duration. Usually, the

movies time length is about two hours. It contains a full storytelling structure
like opening, conflict, resolution, and ending. In contrast, books usually take a
longer time to complete. For instance, there is an Indonesian novel that tells an
introduction of the main story in about 50 pages, which normally takes days to
complete at a regular pace. If some individuals are not patient enough, they can
be get bored and not getting an enjoyable experience.

To sum up, watching movies is more enjoyable than reading fiction books. It is
because movies offer a lot more content to touch human emotion and can be
completed in a shorter time than book reading

EDUCATION
1. Nowadays, more and more foreign students are going to English-Speaking
countries to learn the “international language – English”. It is
undoubtedly true that studying English in an English-speaking country is
the best way, but it is not the only way to learn it.
Do you agree or disagree with the above statement?

In this modern era, maximum students prefer to study English language in

countries, who is known for native speaking countries. Studying in this
environment is always a better option, however it is not a single option to get
educated. I believe there are other avenues are available. In this essay I will
elaborate various avenues rather than traditional one.

Nowadays English has become the most spoken and written language in all
over the world. It can build the relations of two or more countries to grow their
business. There are several countries are present in which the English language
is not that much popular. For getting advance information many students
migrate to English speaking nations so that they can become a part of world
culture. However for learning English there are reasonable options are
available rather than going outside from our own country. The most popular is
you can easily learn with the help of the internet. In India, for instance, many
students are taking lessons from native English teachers through YouTube,
Google and zoom applications. The benefit is you can learn one to one any
time. Also the facility of live classes provides you the opportunity to connect
with professors from Australia, England and Canada.

The major attraction point of going out to learn English is the peaceful
environment of foreign universities. In spite of this many educational institutes
are now creating that atmosphere in their own countries. In Pune, for example,
the symbiosis international university is trying to provide similar facilities as
Cambridge university. In addition to this management invited professors from
the same place. It helps students to reduce massive expenses on staying in
another country along with it decrease amount of educational loan.

In conclusion, going abroad, especially in English speaking countries to learn

English is a right choice but with the help of above opportunities you can learn
similar skills in your native nation too without spending huge money on it.

2. Some people say that television is a very useful tool when it comes to
education. Others argue that television is a much overused, ineffective
teacher.
Discuss both of these views and give your opinion as to the usefulness of
television as an educational tool.

A highly controversial phenomenon today relates and society is divided into

two groups as per the distinct mindset of different folk. Therefore, this has
become a hotly debated issue of whether television proved to be advantageous
for learning or not. In this essay, I am going to examine both points of view in
the forthcoming paragraphs and thus will lead to an analytical conclusion.

To commence with, the first notion There are copious people who argue that
the benefits of television considerably outweigh its disadvantages. The main
reason for believing this is that undoubtedly we are dwelling in the age of
technology and modernization and a bunch of study resources are widely
accessible in the form of e-books and PDF format in addition to this students
are heavily reliant on the information technology but also learn as a prime
source of education owing to easiness and world institution are increasingly
shifting to the trend of virtual study. to cite an example, A recently published
report indicated that studying from home and any parts of the world has grown
and represented 70% of the pupils prefer to get knowledge hence, online
education and through plenty of sources is highly demanding and presently
prevails.

On the other hand, others believe that being heavily hooked up with E-learning
leads to adverse effects, and the standard of enlightenment plummets with the
passage of time. It is often argued that owing to the addiction to remote tuition
tutee grades has been declined rapidly. Citizens often have this opinion because
it drives the negative concerns, as well as the role of teachers, has been faded
and their living is dependent on the teaching profession. for example, if the
entire world converts to the e-schooling the tutor's role will vanish in the future
and there is no denying the fact that millions of teachers are linked with that
profession and feed their families moreover, the physical interaction between
teachers and the classroom atmosphere is vital for the learning process.

Finally, In conclusion, I believe both arguments have their own merits. On

balance, however, I feel that overreliance on online education has negative
consequences and the role of physical interaction has faded which is extremely
crucial for the learning process for students.

3. Some people think children are more successful in foreign language studies
than adults.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Foreign language studies gained more importance during this century. Few
believe that adults are less likely to learn these languages when compared to
the younger generation. In my personal opinion, kids can learn non-native
languages quicker and hence I totally agree with this statement.

To begin with, it is no doubt that learning at a younger age helps in picking up

ideas faster. That is, kids are able to grab ideas, especially languages faster and
easier than the elder ones. For instance, a kid named Mike in Harvey's show is
capable of fluently handling 20 different languages at the age of 7, whereas an
adult can hardly learn one or two languages at the same time. This brings us to
the point, that adults might need more time in learning languages than kids.

Additionally, pupils are highly open-minded and hence they can approach any
new ideas without pre-planning. Hence, the chance to explore new skills like
language is not a big deal for them. Furthermore, the minors are highly familiar
with all the upcoming and existing technologies which ease the process of
education. For example, the younger generation is terribly exposed to the
internet and hence they themselves can learn languages apart from their
mother tongues with the support of different tutorials, and channels, whereas,
in many ,cases the adults need the help of others. These factors are also
supporting the satisfactory learning skills of young crowds.
To conclude, it can be said that the younger ones can easily catch up with the
non-native languages and explore the technologies while the adults would need
some time in picking up them. Hence, it can be finalized that kids are more
successful in learning other languages when compared to adults.

4. Children should begin learning a foreign language as soon as they start

school.
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

It is considered by some individuals that many pupils lack an inborn trait for
different dialects, so they ought not to be coerced to comprehend a new diction.
In my opinion, I disagree with the notion that young adults need to be given the
free will to decide if to acquire a new tongue.

Firstly, when children acquire an accent different from their mother's tongue it
broadens their horizon, and prepare them for their working life. This is because
learning a second sound is more than just knowing how to speak or write the
vocabulary. As the diction is being learnt, younger children get more
information about the culture, and traditions, of the countries where the
vocabulary is primarily spoken. Consequently, they will be able to appreciate
other people's cultures and become more tolerant of others. For example, when
teenagers are taught the second style in elementary schools, lessons always
begin with the basis of the wording such as how to greet elders in the tongue,
words to say when one wants to appreciate a kind gesture, and how they dress
in the particular culture or what their articles of clothing are being called.
Hence, understanding other people's tradition increases the awareness of the
different cultures. Also, boosts the ability to comprehend and communicate in a
second speech which gives any individual an edge outside academic life.

Secondly, compelling youngsters to memorize unfamiliarize wordings different

from their native pronunciation enhance their mental development. That is, it
increases the critical thinking skills, creativity and flexibility of mind of school-
aged children. They use what they learn in one wording to reinforce what they
have known in another language expression. Moreover, studies have shown
that people who learn a foreign sound vocabulary do better in both math and
verbal tests than those who do not. They also do well multi-tasking and in tasks
requiring full attention than monolinguals. To illustrate, in English-speaking
countries, through studying a new language grammatical concepts and rules In
English become clearer, and so they can identify grammatic incorrect sentences
easily. Therefore, they become more intellectual in their native speech and
other relevant subjects.

In conclusion, encouraging students to be multilingual is very critical to help

individuals get ready for future lives and develop the mental capacity of pupils.

5. Some people say the Government should not put money into building
theaters and sports stadiums; they should spend more money on medical
care and education.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion

A section of society believes that the nation investing in an infrastructure of the

theatres and sports stadiums is not essential. Whereas, others advocated that
there should be more financial support to medical care and education. In my
opinion building more school and hospitals are wiser choices for citizens.

On the one hand, there is a plethora of theatres and playground for sporting
events putting money to build more will be wastage. Moreover, it aquaria huge
pace which can be utilized for hospitals and school and many more other
things. For instance, The Olympic Games 2004 was hosted by the UK, research
says that the government suffered from billion-pound losses, since they had
built a new infrastructure for an event which not frequent. Therefore, making a
wise decision on funding is increase otherwise possible to face loss.

On the other hand, in my view, authorities should devote more on facilities like
schooling and medical it will help the nation to grow. In other words, many
people travel to other countries for quality medical treatment or education since
it is not available in their zone. Furthermore, the government will be in profit
since they do not have to be reliable on other state for support. For example,
the situation like COVID- 19 is threatening for a country like India or Pakistan
since do not have enough hospital or medical staff to take care of such
pandemic. Hence, a regime should spend more on making medical cares and
offering education for a child this will help them in future.

In conclusion, taking the significant steps is vital the government should

provide financial aids, to medical and institution since it is essential when the
need arises and can make a profit out. However, theatres and stadiums are not
that important.
6. Nowadays, education overseas has become more accessible and
growing numbers of people send their offspring to study in other
countries. However, this trend has its detractors.
Do you agree or disagree with the above statement?

An easy admission process in foreign universities and a plenty of benefits

associated with it make people encourage to send their children to study in
abroad. In fact, this trend is becoming popular day by day. However, there are
some critics, who think that, it has several disadvantages, which can not be
overlooked. I totally agree with this view and the reasons of my inclination are
explained in trailed paragraphs.

To begin with, studying in other countries make children more capable to

compete in the global market, which is mandatory for everyone to succeed in
this fast-paced life. Additionally, foreign education broadens the horizons of
knowledge of students, which definitely plays a vital role to enhance one's job
prospects. On the other hand, foreigners can earn the handsome revenue by
heavily charging the international students. Therefore, they also pave the way
for overseas students to come and study in their nations.

Despite an enormous number of benefits, this culture is not acceptable by some

detractors. They believe that, sending children to the foreign land may ruin
their local culture and traditions, as after studying in abroad, students need to
accept the host country's culture. Moreover, with the increasing number of
attacks on international students makes some parents uncomfortable to send
their children in foreign lands. For example, a recent survey has shown that,
there is twenty percent of the increase in the international students in the US
and Australia.

To conclude, although, it has several drawbacks, I firmly believe that, people

should send their children to abroad for study for the betterment of them.

7. It is widely believed that children of different levels of intelligence should

be taught together, while others think that more intelligent children should
be taught separately.
Discuss and present your own opinion. Which one do your support?
Many individuals contend that students of varying levels of intelligence should
be taught together, while, other sections of people argue that intelligent
children should be educated separately. However, I believe in the initial
[Link] essay discusses both views with relevant explanations and examples.

To begin with, on the one hand, initially, if the students are made to learn in
groups, there may be chances of adapting others' qualities. In other words,
children are usually attention seekers, so, the teacher might be attentive to
clever students, therefore, co-learners may feel kind of jealous,in order to grab
attention they may try to acquire other qualities. Lastly, they may compare to
other kids' performances, and as a result, aspire to do the same. Elaborating,
little ones are not enough matured, comparing their work to others is their
general nature, as a result, they try to give their best to compete with them.
Finally, educating them as a whole gives better results.

On the other hand, firstly, when learners are divided as groups, the teachers
have the flexibility to teach them according to their level of understanding. For
instance, the scholars combined together may have different levels of intelligent
quotients, when they are separated it becomes effortless for the tutors to train
them on basis of their IQ. Secondly, instructors may be able to try to improve
their percentage. Moreover, they can change their way of coaching, to make the
learning more interesting. For example, the coach may introduce another type
of learning, to make them enthusiasts in education such as play way method.
However, it is useful to get better results.

To conclude, though, it is advantageous to learn separately as different teaching

methods can adapt for betterment, I think it is better to learn as a whole, to
avoid discrimination among the students.

8. All education (primary, secondary and further education) should be free

to all people and paid and managed by the government.
Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

In the era of modern, discipline is a fragment of people's life. It is impossible to

live in the world without the discipline of capability. Such as rudimentary
counting, which is used by the masses in their daily routine. Some experts
ponder that all science of students (high, secondary as well as further) ought to
be free to all masses, which should be paid and managed by the authorities. I
strongly agree with the given hook. There are many causes behind this. And I
will discuss certain reasons and add my specific conclusion in the following
paragraphs.

Since the culture comes in life, more and more people want to obtain the higher
study for their many purposes. First reason is that, it is an expensive method for
the growth of people. To cite an example, some people who belong to the
middle class family. As a result, some schools like private schools offer the
highest fees, for the information of students. They are not able to approach
studies in their life. Hence, the government should be yielded free learning to
all students.

Moreover, people know very well about the situation of the authorities. The
ministry charges the tax on the products, which is generated by the state. For
instance, they get high income from these things. They do not maintain the
public facilities in their state. Due to this, they save the wages. Therefore,
people claim that these salaries are achieved from products. So that, the
ministry should be donated free training to all pupils.

On the other side, some people claim that they should not invest the money on
the discipline. For example, if they do not give, it is impossible to get the
wages again. In this way, they are not able to obtain the earn revenue. They are
also enabled to maintain the old facilities.

To conclude, even though the regime provides the amenities to all people, yet
it's the best law for giving the free learning to all learners. I deem that it is the
responsibility of the authorities for offering the free studies in their heart.

9. As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be
soon no role for teachers in the classroom.
Do you agree or disagree?

The past decade has seen many changes in education thanks to the application
of computers. There is no doubt that these have brought many advantages to
both students and teachers, but some people are afraid that in the near future,
teachers would be replaced by these machines. In my opinion, the teacher's
duty would be reduced significantly when using computers in teaching, not be
replaced.

No one can deny that the education has been advanced by applying computers
to studying and teaching. Nowadays, students can get access to different
sources of information and have a lot of ways to study online instead of going
to traditional schools. For example, students can use the information they get
on the Internet to do their homework, hand in the assignments online and
receive their score or feedback from the teacher. Teachers also won't need to
deal with papers of tests and attend classes like they did in the past. Therefore,
the outcome, for learners and teachers, would be more efficient.

However, it is impossible for the teachers' role to be taken over by the use of
computers. Although this machine is considered as the most cutting-edge tool
in the world, there are a great amounts of things that computers cannot perform
excellently. More specifically, computers might not be able to do several types
of works as well as teachers due to their limit of knowledge and experience,
such as giving students detail corrections on homework, helping students solve
their problems at schools, etc. Teachers can take advantage of computers to do
many simple tasks like marking the tests but they still do play an important role
in training students.

In conclusion, it is the advent of computers that brings many benefits to the

education. However, this machine would just be a tool for students and teachers
to upgrade the results of their works and cannot take over the teacher's role in
education because the gap of knowledge between human and artificial
machines.

10. Financial education should be a mandatory component of the school

program. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Today, money has become a major necessity of life, which has given a rise to
thoughts of including financial planning as one of the courses in schools and
[Link] are in favour of this, while others are of diverse view. I
completely agree with the idea. This essay will augment my opinion.

Firstly, if wealth management is taught in high schools, the pupils will graduate
armed with financial know-how, which is absolutely inevitable, to succeed in
any aspect of growth now. To cite an example, in terms of professional growth,
if an individual starts a business or takes up a job, it is prominent for him/her to
have a thorough understanding of how to plan a budget, manage bank accounts
and save a part of the income. Additionally, even starting a family requires a
level of monetary stability, in order to live peacefully and to fulfil the family's
needs such as food, shelter and clothing. All of this is only feasible through
financial literacy, imparted through education. Hence, it is commendable to
introduce courses related to finances, in the early years of life.

Secondly, when young ones are allowed to handle money on their own at
learning institutions, it inculcates a sense of responsibility in [Link]
example, it assists them in comprehending the value of each dollar and they
might also become aware about the costs of different items. To illustrate this, if
a kid handles his own pocket money, he would be responsible for gathering
enough to buy his favourite toy. Provided that, there are higher chances of him
knowing the price of the toys. Furthermore, it has been found out through a
study that, minors are likely to handle their prized possessions with the utmost
care, once they start managing their piggy bank, as they realize the worth of
facilities provided to them. Therefore, it is detectable that such programs
provide short term benefits as well.

To conclude, fiscal planning skills are the need of the modern world and should
be made a mandatory part of the education. In my opinion, the wealth co-
ordination sessions have numerous advantages for the tomorrow's youth and
there is no solid reason to not teach them at the tender age.

11. Many problems in schools are aroused by the attitudes of students.

Where do these problems come from? What should we do to change the
situation?
School violence becomes very protrusive in many countries, most of which are
caused by the attitudes of students. Some governments and the authorities show
great concerns about the problems. From my point of view, these problems are
aroused by three factors, the development of society, the influence of family
and media and the weakness of school education.

The rapid development of the society offers more opportunities for the young
students to contact the outside world. Due to the lack of social experience,
some youngsters are not capable of distinguishing right from wrong. Curiosity
drives them into imitating what they see on TV or from the people around
them. Therefore, it is easy for them to be addicted to alcohol, smoking and
drugs. Some students even smoke and take drugs at school.

Family violence is another major factor causing problems in schools. Family

violence hurt children both physically and psychologically. Physically, family
violence will hurt their tender body because children are still in the stage of
development. Psychologically, physical punishment will hurt children's self-
confidence and make them have a tendency of violence. Recently, school
gunshots hit the headlines frequently, which should partly be attributed to the
family violence.

Finally, the weakness of school education is another factor causing school

problems. Some schools only stress students' achievements in their study,
neglecting their moral education. Therefore, even some top students are apt to
stride on the criminal road.

To solve these problems, I think we should take the following measures.

Firstly, schools should strengthen students' moral education, giving them
correct directions and cultivating their ability to tell right from wrong.
Secondly, parents should spare some time to communicate with their children,
resolving difficulties and troubles for them timely. If the school and family can
join hands in solving these problems, I think the students will develop healthily
and the environment in schools will become much clearer.

12. Many children are forced to stay at school and study subjects that will be
of little value to them in the future. These children may disrupt the
education of the majority and should be allowed to leave school early to
find themselves a job.
What are your views?

Everyone needs education and school is not the only place where children can
learn. Nevertheless, students are forced to study in subjects that they don’t have
interest on while the subjects they learn are likely going to be useless. I shall
agree that leaving school for the job is the right decision to make for their
future.

One of the main reasons why children are allowed to leave school is passion.
As a parent, paying attention to what their children like is a must. Because,
child, they are passionate to develop their skills on things they like. Some of
Indonesian parents, for instance, took their child to have another extra course.
They perceived that all subjects are important and expect their child to get a
good grades albeit it makes them exhausted. Therefore, it is acceptable to
support child to go after their passion.
On the other hand, success in school doesn’t guarantee that the children will get
successful in life. Because the educational background might be important, but
skills and work experience is likely more preferred. For example, entrepreneurs
who dropped out college at the age of 19 to 22 years old such as Michael Dell,
Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and many more. By having more skills and experience,
is also an additional value compared to students who stayed in school because
the child is one step ahead.

However, getting a job also means that children will get their own income, they
will be financially independent. A good example is when a child could afford
living by themselves, they indirectly lighten their parent’s burden. In other
words child no longer need the financial support from their parents. Since the
majority of all parents want at least, their kids to be financially independent.

In conclusion, leaving school early is a great opportunity to gain a new

experience and improving children’s skills. Instead of wasting time for learning
subjects that unavailing which children will forget in the future, children should
focus on their passion

13. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a
very early age and should spend most of their time on school studies.
Others believe that young children should spend most of their time
playing. Compare these two views.
Which view do you agree with? Why?

It is often argued by some that young ones ought to spend their hours on
learning school subjects by beginning their kindergarten studies at an early age,
while others think that they should contribute their time in physical activities.
Whilst a discussion of both these views is worthwhile, I am a supporter of the
latter view.

On the one hand, early learning will aid the children to absorb things faster. In
other words, they have the capacity to learn more things at a young age and it is
a fresh mind, keen to remember courses whatever they learn in school.
Moreover, it will help them to nourish their skills to compete with others in this
contemporary world. For example, a recent survey report given by Hardward
University states that kids who start their education at a very early age has the
capability to grasp things and become brilliant than others who begin their
studies at a later stage. However, I do not support this notion because it will be
a burden for them to start their learning very early and soon they will be
stressed which may lead to depression that will spoil their health.

On the other hand, allowing a minor to allocate their days in playing will help
them to rejuvenate their mind and body. That is to say that they will be
physically fit and active for throughout the day will make their health in a
better condition. Also, it will enhance their mental stability to prepare for their
schoolings in the future. For instance, in most of the developed countries,
people send their offsprings to school at the age of 5 which help their kids to be
relaxed until the day 1 and mentally well prepared to go to the institute. In my
opinion, I agree with this view as it helps them to learn more practical studies
by playing and gaining the knowledge from them rather than being a
bookworm.

In conclusion, although people believe that their children can learn and
incorporate information faster when they start their schoolings at an early age, I
think, they have to give their hours in playing to refresh their mind and body to
be physically and mentally fit for learning.

14. High schools should allow students to study the courses that students want
to study.
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement.

The question of whether secondary schools should allow students to take the
courses a student chooses to take is debatable. Some people think that a high
school scientist should have the right to take a course he likes. Others,
however, disagree, saying that teens can't be completely sure what they like and
what they need to know at their age. In this , essay I will analyze these points
and present my views on behalf of those who believe that some programs
should be considered by students.

On the one hand, the choice of study can bring many advantages. First, the
student can be better prepared for the profession he likes because he can spend
more time learning what interests him. Second, they will learn more
enthusiastically because they learn what they like.

On the other hand, teenagers often cannot fully understand what they want to
do in the future. So, by giving them the opportunity to choose, they can choose
classes that are easy to learn and don't take much time to learn. As a result,
many students may not be ready after graduation to enrol in university and
pursue a career. I personally think that some series like math, literature, and
writing English should be required to study with students. This will help them
gain more knowledge and experience, develop their ability to think logically,
improve their writing skills, etc. In this way, students will be better prepared
for the real world and independent living.

In short, I think high school should have compulsory subjects because it is

important for undergraduates to have a good foundation for future life.
Compulsory courses tend to be more complex but offer them the opportunity to
broaden their range of interests and help develop very important qualities such
as self-confidence, perseverance, patience and more.

15. There is nothing that young people can teach older people
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

When it comes to learning, it can be learned from anyone- regardless of age,

profession or race. Consequently, I totally disagree with the statement that
young people can teach older people nothing. For several reasons, I think that
young people can teach older people many things.

First of all, young people intend to learn new things faster including the use of
new technologies. Young people can always teach the older how to use
technologies and those modern tools. Second, young people are more
motivated. They aspire to succeed professionally which requires vast
knowledge and experience these days. So, they try to acquire knowledge and
experience from different sources like the Internet, books, newspaper,
magazines and of course from conversations with other people. In terms of
knowledge sharing, the young generation can always motivate and teach the
older generation. In addition to this, youngsters bring many fresh ideas to the
team they are working in. For example, when my friend was hired as a software
developer, he surprised everybody with his energy, a bunch of new and fresh
ideas about what could be done to improve the process. The fresh idea and
innovation of young people are something older people can always learn from.
He was the youngest member of the team but everybody listened to him and it
was like a fresh air, an impulse, which made everyone work harder. Even the
senior employees of this office learned from this young person.

Finally, young people often know more about new technologies and how to use
these. For example, my husband is 26 years old and he is a software developer
So, he is often asked to deliver lectures for different companies and audience.
Needless to say, the majority of people who attend those lectures are older than
my husband and definitely, they can learn many things from the comparatively
young person like my husband.

To conclude, I think that young people have many things to teach older people.
Moreover, people from every generation have something to learn from each
other. People learn through their entire lives from the history, life experience,
elders as well as from younger people.

16. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Grades (marks)
encourage students to learn.

With regard to the mark assessment scheme in school, it is a common belief

that grades play a vital role in a student's life in terms of motivation to student
for study purposes. I concord with this viewpoint. I would discuss my
standpoint in the following paragraphs.

First of all, the mark assessment system is a better way for the pupils with
regard to a better future, since it is widely accepted by ordinary people that
many universities and colleges give to admission those students whose
academic score is the best. Due to this belief, a plethora of pupils are trying to
evaluate their weaker subjects. In addition, students' scores matter to get a job.
To put it another way, many global companies are looking those candidates
whose academic performance is very well, because company representatives
think that they are very knowledgeable and smart.

Moreover, nowadays, a vast number of higher institutions give a scholarship to

pupils on the behalf of their grades. A good illustration of this is that if a
student has a good mark sheet, he can do a master's in the world's best
institution by getting a scholarship. Furthermore, to get good respect from
society, grades are an essential thing, since many relatives feel proud, and they
give examples of his to their offspring. Many of us have experienced this type
of situation in our lives. So, to get respect and maintain a reputation many
students work hard to have a better score.

By way of conclusion, once again I reaffirm my statement that how a better

score is helpful to pupils for evaluating their profile, which is ranging from
getting respect to getting a job
17. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more
important for students to study history and literature than it is for them to
study science and mathematics.

Undoubtedly, the importance of history and literature studying has a drastic

role. Recently, the matter of teaching history and literature instead of science
and mathematics to the student and its corresponding impacts has sparked a
heated debate. I fully agree with this fact that although students should study
science and mathematics carefully, it is better for students to read history and
literature much more. In turn, this essay will discuss the reasons behind this
fact.

On the one hand, the study of history and literature by students can provide the
society with some noticeable effects which are rooted in the fact that the merits
of strong economic, as well as, progressed society are inextricably bound up.
That is to say that people are able to learn different lessons from the history of
their country or from the adventure of other nations remarkably, thus they can
live easily and safer if they learn from history. As a tangible example,
politicians learned from the different reasons behind starting the First and
Second World Wars and did not repeat them in hard situations.

On the other hand, understanding the history might decrease the consequences
of unwanted events such as unsuccessful life. Some psychiatrists and
psychologists declare that the students who study history and literature in teen,
in the adult age had a more successful life than others. Hence, the history and
literature studying must be taken into account in all stages of people’s life.

To summarize, some people are of the opinion that science and mathematics
must be honored similar to the history and literature, while others are opposed
to this view. I am sure that understanding the history and literature are much
more valuable than science and mathematics.

18. Some people believe that only teachers should not assess students as
students should be allowed to do that as well. According to their view,
schools should ask students to evaluate their teachers.
Do you agree or disagree?

The idea of evaluating teachers by their students is an excellent practice and

can bring many benefits to the whole education system. I believe this approach
is useful to teachers, learners as well as schools. In the following paragraphs, I
will give my reasons to support my opinion.

First of all, teachers have clear benefits when their pupils assess their
performance. It brings the opportunity for educators to find out how well their
students understand their lectures. It also helps them improve their knowledge
and teaching methods. Also, the authority, from such assessments, can find out
the best trainers in their institutes. Reversely, teachers who perform poorly in
such reviews, get the opportunity to tune in their teaching methods and develop
classroom skills. This can improve the level of professionalism and teaching
techniques among the teachers.

Secondly, students also profit greatly from such [Link] will more often
attend lectures because they feel a part of the school. Students feel connected
with the school authority when they are given the freedom to rate their
teachers. It helps them sort out the teachers who need better training. The
whole process develops the education system in which they learn.

Finally and most importantly, the quality of education and the learning
environment will improve dramatically which impacts the learners' knowledge
and skills over time. In addition to those practical benefits, a school will be
better funded by its sponsors and valued by the community. This, in turn, will
attract more students because it will be an honour to study in such a school.

19. Some high schools require all students to wear school uniforms. Other
high schools permit students to decide what to wear to school. Which of
these two school policies do you think is better?

It is often argued that pupils should wear a specific set of clothes to schools
while some disagree and say children should be given the freedom of choice
regarding the school dress. I am sceptical that the former is true and I will
explain why throughout this essay.

Firstly, having a particular costume for schoolgoers is a way of practising good

discipline. Students are encouraged to dress the same way as per the education
institute standards and it is one of the many ways of learning good qualities for
them. For instance, a recent study done in Europe has found out that 80% of
young students from colleges with standard costumes are well behaved when
compared to youngsters who wear their choice of clothes to schools. Thus,
general outfits can help to maintain the behaviour of high schoolgoers
Secondly, a standard costume represents a certain brand. So, if senior students
wear uniforms, that means they are representing the institute they learn when
they go out in public. The good name of the college will be recognized easily
by the community because of the dress code. Additionally, this is beneficial for
the college as it is a way of marketing your goodwill. For example, my nephew
goes to a popular school in Melbourne and most of the time people recognize
his education institute by only looking at the costume. Hence, a uniform can
help to identify the school.

To sum up, it is true that providing standard costumes for college children is
fundamental not only because it can help to increase the good behaviour of
children but also it can help schools to increase the popularity as well.

20. Boys and girls should attend separate schools. To what extent do you
agree or disagree with the above statement?

Whether boys and girls should attend separate schools is a controversial issue.
Some people believe that it brings many benefits. However, others believe that
it is not good for the future of our children. I agree with those people who think
that children should attend the same schools. In the following paragraphs, I will
give my reasons to support my opinion.

First of all, children from the very beginning should learn how to communicate
with each other. They need to learn social skills, be supportive and understand
each other. Second of all, I believe that now women and men should be treated
in the same way. A woman nowadays has the same rights as a man. She also
wants to make a good career and succeed. So, it is essential in the modern
world to understand that knowledge has nothing to do with a sex. Everyone has
the same access to the knowledge and experience and it is only up to a person
how hard he or she wants to work to reach his or her goals.

Another important aspect of this is that if children attend separate schools they
do not have common interests. They do not know what a person of an opposite
sex likes, how he or she spends her or his spare time, etc. I think that it is not
good in a long run. Some of them will create a family someday and most likely
will not have anything to share. They will not have common interests. They
will have different friends and opinions about things. We had such experience a
few centuries ago. Women grow up their children and men worked and
gathered in the men' clubs in the evenings. I think it is not the way it should be.
A family has many beautiful moments to share together.

To sum up, I think that children should attend the same schools because it will
help them to become great, attentive and kind persons. Moreover, they will
learn how to respect each other's interests.

21. People learn in different ways. Some people learn by doing things; other
people learn by reading about things; others learn by listening to people
talk about things. Which of these methods of learning is best for you?

People acquire knowledge in a variety of ways throughout their entire lives.

Some people opt for reading books; others like to take heed of people’s advice
about new things, or some even prefer to capitalize on their own experience.
While all these types of learning have good points, personally, I almost see fit
for experiential learning for several reasons.

Granted, there are numerous essential and crucial experiences that we cannot
get from books and people’s direct advice; they are helpful, though. A typical
example can be seen in life-changing events: losing a loved one, bankruptcy,
health issues. They all come from a significant paradigm shift that comes
through our own experience. Also, more than seven billion people living in the
changing world have their situations, so we are incapable of measuring
people’s judgment and pressure. As a result, pieces of advice from books or
people cannot be consistent with our current circumstances.

Accordingly, I believe that learning by doing things is deemed one of the most
cardinal and natural means of learning. To begin with, according to researchers,
we all learn through a learning cycle. Experience serves as a cornerstone of
reflection, making it possible for us to develop ideas about the world. Then, we
can test the ideas to see whether it is true or not, thus having new
acquaintances. Reflection on our experience encourages lifelong learning as
well as personal development for we can analyze our mistakes, draw an
inference and avoid them next time. Moreover, at school, since lectures or
academic subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology are sophisticated and
difficult to comprehend, practices, experiments, researches will make it easier
for students to absorb complex materials, theories and remember them in the
long run. As a consequence, experiential learning is effective, its high demand
notwithstanding.
In conclusion, I think that I am proper to learning from personal experience,
which is precious and prized. Nonetheless, the combination of the 3 mentioned
above ways is inclined to give the best results as all methods have their own
advantages.

22. Some people think that they can learn better by themselves than with a
teacher. Others think that it is always better to have a teacher. Which one
do you prefer?

According to a few , individual self-study is better rather than preparing in

presence of a professional. Other folk's perspective towards this is quite
opposite from theirs as they argue that it is always beneficial to have a tutor for
professional assistance. I personally agree with both scenarios as on some
occasions I prefer to study in peace by myself. And sometimes in presence of a
teacher.

To commence , teachers play a pivotal role in students' life not just

professionally but personally as well such as mitigating stress from their lives
and showing them the right path to them. However, nowadays teens do not
understand and respect the value of having an instructor as much as youngsters
used to do in former times. Even though, everyone knows that teacher lays the
foundation of knowledge and later on children built on it,they still do not
appreciate the tutor in the right manner. Moreover, one must acknowledge that
teaching by teachers is much better and helpful to thrive our generation these
days.

Nevertheless, some folks have different perspectives and proclaim that it is

much more advantageous for them to study by [Link] addition to this, if
someone is doing a part-time job and simultaneously studying, then it is
difficult for them to arrange a schedule according to the tutor. Nonetheless,
studying on our own is in trend nowadays and many children have got results
from it as well. For instance, recently an interview of a government job aspirant
was published in a newspaper which illustrates that most students these days
tend to prepare on their own because of the scarcity of time and they are
currently working as [Link] than that, there were multiple stories printed in
tabloids that how children cracked exams without professional support and
assistance.

By way of conclusion, I would say there are two sides to each coin, similar in
this specimen there are merits and demerits for both cases. However, I strongly
advocate the former point of view although if one is confident enough then he
can opt for the latter outlook.

HISTORY

1. Some people think history has nothing or little to tell us, but others think
that studying the past history can help us better understand the present.
Discuss the two views and give your own opinion.

History is basically the origin of a nation, which helps us to know our real
identity. Some believe that the past has no practical advantages to provide.
While others think that history helps us to learn about the present. This essay
will discuss both arguments, I believe that our past helps us understand the
present.

On the one hand, some people argue that the past is not actually beneficial to
the nation and it is considered a forgettable past with no importance. There
might be very less nations who would prefer to let their chronicle vanish. For
instance, in the 1920s, Turks wanted to forget their past and instead, they
preferred to be modernized and more open-minded. Which led them to create a
modern Turkey and the Ottoman empire was demolished.

On the other hand, some people believe that the past is sacred and extremely
important for society, as a result, they have strong moral values and great
respect for their ancestors and national heroes. For example, Pakistan has more
than a hundred years of past, where Pakistanis got numerous strong leaders
who are still respected, and the nation learns from their struggles which can
help them in many aspects of their lives. Whenever a state is going through
difficult times then the state tries to learn from its past to tackle the situation.
So the past of society is very important to keep it alive.

In conclusion, History is very important and advantageous to help us learn

about the present, and in my opinion, it should be kept alive forever.
WORK
1. In many countries, children are engaged in some kind of paid work. Some
people regard this as completely wrong, while others consider it as
valuable work experience, important for learning and taking
responsibility. What are your opinions on this issue?

In many places, offspring are involved in various types of employment. Some

would say that this is utterly wrong, while others are of the opinion that this is
fine because it prepares them for the workforce. I agree with the latter point
and will show that, despite some concerns about its effect on education,
working at a young age can enhance a person’s character.

It is often argued that working before the age of eighteen is wrong because it
impacts how successful offspring are in their studies. This is because they are
under increasing pressure to perform academically, and a job will force them to
reduce the time they have to study. For example, a UK offspring’s charity
found that offspring who worked part-time were less likely to achieve higher
grades than those who did not. However, I believe the lessons offspring can
learn from working are invaluable.

Getting a part-time job contributes to offspring’s character development. It

teaches them the value of hard work and exposes them to the real world, where
they learn things they would never learn in the classroom. This can also result
in them working harder and being more disciplined at school. For example, a
teenager working in a restaurant for a few hours at the weekend can learn how
to interact with the general public without their academic performance isively
affected. For this reason, I think that concerns about work’s negative effects on
education are unfounded.

In conclusion, despite fears that offspring will neglect their studies if they are
required to work, I argue that a little work experience at a young age can build
character.

2. Successful sports professionals can earn a great deal more money than
people in other important professions. Some people think this is fully
justified while others think it is unfair.
Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.
Professionalism is the most important character trait in today's world. Athletes
in sports world, earn a lot more than any other profession. Some people find it
fair while others argue about it. I tend to agree with the former as it is the hard
work of one person that helps him attain heights and Also, how he uses the
money he earned.

First and Foremost, athletes around the world, earn more from endorsements,
instead of sports. Most of the athletes gain a majority of their income from
advertisement, either by promoting a product or posting about it online. For
example, Cristiano Ronaldo, a renowned soccer player, earns close to a million
dollar's per Instagram post. It is because he has more than 50 million followers.
In contrast, a normal average in Instagram is around 1000 followers. All the
above factor's help athletes to earn a lot more than other professionals.

On the other hand, Professionalism should not be measured on the basis of

salary. To illustrate this, a medical professional, is paid to save life and keep
people healthy. Also, that is the only source of income for them. Most of the
population judges a professional's success on the basis of his income, while it's
one's own interest that will thrive him for excellence and attain height in their
field of work. Although there are a certain percentage of professionals in the
field of science and technology who earn more than athletes, which is rare.

In conclusion, although, most of the professional's get paid a lot lesser than
sport professional. In my opinion, athletes earn more because of their
popularity, and less because of the industry they work in.

3. Companies should encourage employees who work in a high position to

leave at the age of 55 in order to give opportunities to the new generation.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Companies should not persuade senior level employees to resign at the age of
55, so that the new generations can get more opportunities. In my view, I
completely disagree that retirement should be enforced as these senior
individuals have a good amount of experience which could help them in
guiding the new generation.

The high level people in the company have a huge amount of experience. The
company needs to have people with such high calibre in the office so that, they
can with their experience can take the company to new levels of growth. To
illustrate, the CEO of a well know software company is 59 years old, but with
his experience he has been increasing the turnover of the company on a year on
year basis. The senior people play an important in driving and taking the
company way forward.

In addition, their experience can also be used to guide the new generation. For
example, a child learns from his parents the most simple of things, when he is
guided by them. So similarly, the new generations can learn and be guided by
the seniors, as the senior possess a high level of knowledge and experience.
Furthermore, the new generation is very impulsive in decision making. By the
guidance of the senior they can learn about making a more thoughtful decision.

To conclude, the expertise and the experience of the seniors can be used to
guide the newcomer over the years, which can be very beneficial for the
company in the long run. Hence, the corporate should not encourage the seniors
to retire before their retirement age and rather use their skill sets.

4. In some countries, young people are encouraged to work or travel for a

year between finishing high school and starting university studies.
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to
do this.

It is a matter of common knowledge, that every country in the world has its
education system. Some country gives youngsters authority and free will to
take a gap year, before they ascend to a new level of life and started studying at
the university, this way they motivate the young generation to travel or work,
for their own benefit.

To commence, when it comes to choosing the subject students want to learn,

depending on the job they wished to do, that's why it is one of the vital
decision people should make during their life. Thus, a lot of students struggle
to find out how they want to be occupied the rest of their life since they don't
have enough knowledge or experience. Undoubtedly, working can help young
people to curb such problems and confusion, facing difficulties and problems,
independently will show teenagers true image of life, first and foremost they
will acknowledge that financial stability is not easy to be achieved and will
learn the value of money. The workplace gives an opportunity of meeting new
people, even unpleasant ones, but it is the best way to get used to building
healthy relationships. Furthermore, travelling is always connected to good
feelings it is a solution for facilitating mental and physical health and reducing
stress and anxiety levels, which is beneficial for every human, especially for
young people who seek answers before applying to the new stage of their life.

On the other hand, travelling is connected to unnecessary expenses, besides it

can be dangerous and risky for a young person, while work may become a
distraction for teenagers studying. it can easily be replaced by other useful
activities like attending lectures or learning a foreign language.

In conclusion, while youngsters can learn the value of money and enhance self-
esteem by engaging in work or leaving the country, it is also can lead to some
disadvantages.

5. Business organisations should hire employees for their entire lives.

Do you agree or disagree?

Companies tend to hire people for the completion of tasks of various natures.
Some tasks demand only short-time commitment and others continues in a long
run. Some people argue that people will work with lofty ambitions, high
dedication and a great commitment if they are hired for their lifetime.
However, others claim that it is unfair for those people who are studying in
different educational institutions and hoping a bright future ahead, I believe
that a job for the entire life is not a pragmatic approach and creates many
problems in a society.

It is often seen that businesses thrive by applying innovative ideas and modern
technologies. These are two areas where students have been taught in deeply to
cope up with challenges in their future. Therefore, it is mandatory for
businesses to take fresh graduates and discard people in a company who lack
behind in skills and knowledge. Furthermore, the unemployment rate will
dramatically increase in the absence of jobs in the market. Because all jobs are
occupied for lives and there are less likely to have chances of vacant places.

However, there is no doubt that people performances are extraordinary if they

have confined feeling of job security. They would like to work hard to achieve
maximum benefits for a company. Thus, their efforts will reflect in increased
productivity and profit margin of the business.

To sum up, I would like to say that hiring employees for the lifetime is not a
practical strategy in a business. Companies use people for the sake of their own
benefits and reward them until there is a need for that skill in the company.
Moreover, unemployment, frustration and tension are few factors which could
greatly influence youngsters if businesses adopt this policy.

6. As the world becomes technologically advanced, computers are replacing

more and more jobs. Describe some job positions that may be lost because
of computers, and discuss at least one problem that may result.

With the scientific breakthrough, machines are taking the place of employees in
many sectors. This essay will mention some of the occupations that are now
done by the software instead of humans and discuss one of the severe
problems, which is gradually increasing because of this change.

Many intellectual and menial jobs are now done by computers. These are
mainly the positions of salesman, teacher and cashier. Nowadays, people are
keen on purchasing from online stores, where items with details are exhibited
in the webpages; unlike a physical shop, in an online store, limited moderators
are required to sell the goods. Likewise, distance learning is very popular
among students. As a result, many educational institutions are closing with the
passage of time, and mentors are losing their positions. Moreover, in the bank,
tellers are no longer needed as such task is easily done by note-counting-
machine efficiently. For instance, a recent survey conducted by Wikipedia
reveals that more than 30% of seller lost their employments because of the
growth of the -commerce sector.

However, this trend is promoting unemployment. Because, many tasks which

were done by human labour, are now performed by software-based-system
with less effort and time. Hence, many professionals are dropping out as
employers are no longer recruiting labours to perform that. As the advancement
of technology is continuing, the rate of unemployment is also growing, which
is letting many persons in a measurable life. Many of these jobless people are
taking illegal ways to earn their livelihood, which is affecting the society. For
example, in Bangladesh, criminal activity is growing among the workless
people.

In conclusion, with the progress of science, many professions are replacing by

robots and technical devices. Especially, the service holders of business,
education and account department are replacing more than others.
Nevertheless, it is escalating the number of workless persons in the community.
7. More and more women go out to work. Is it the government’s
responsibility to subsidise them and provide free staff and facilities to care
for their children?
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this idea?

It is often argued that a large number of women become workers and

responsibility for them should take the government by giving free requirements
in order to take care of their offspring.I completely agree that the state must
take into account this issue because it will lead to the development of the
country and a reduction of the mother's stress.I will support this view with
arguments in the following paragraphs.

First of all,it is clear that mothers do not have time for both the career path and
upbringing of [Link] this problem can be solved with the government's
support with free facilities, which aid women to look after their
[Link],young and ambitious mothers can have time for seeking a job
and their own personal [Link] an example, research shows that 60 per
cent of women really desire to have these types of opportunities, which can
provide improvements in the country by having more hardworking employers.

Secondly, women become more nervous and stressful in nowadays, because of

trying to manage work requirements and their own babies' [Link] other
words,Mothers need the government's help, which can simplify their
[Link],it can provide a decline of depreciation in women and
lead to increasing of level happiness in [Link] instance,in terms of mother's
bliss,

To conclude, I strongly believe that mothers require the government's support

by providing free stuff to take care of their children because it will give
decreasing of depreciation and improvements in the country

8. Some people say that people should have a different amount of holidays
according to their job.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is often argued that the duration of holidays awarded to employees should be

in accordance with the type of their work. I fully agree with this view. This is
because of so many reasons, which are clearly explained in the following
paragraphs.
Some jobs are physically and emotionally more taxing than other jobs. For
instance, people working in the armed forces require more holidays. Since they
are more likely to work in places far away from their home, it is essential to
give them a few months of holidays per year. This enables them to spend some
time with their family and rejuvenate themselves. Likewise, people working on
oil rigs or construction sites need more off days to stay physically and mentally
healthy. Hence, it is essential to take into account the nature of the job while
determining the number of holidays each employee should get.

On the flip side, people working in the same office should be given the same
number of holidays regardless of their designation provided that the nature of
the occupation is the same. For example, if the manager is given more holidays
than lower-level employees, it may create resentment among the latter. Also, if
the manager or the supervisor goes on holidays too frequently, it will affect the
productivity of the organization because of the communication gap between
them and other employees. Thus, it is essential to avoid such situations by
giving the same number of holidays to all the people whose job requirements
are more or less the same.

In conclusion, I agree with the argument that the nature of the job should be the
main criterion used for determining the number of holidays each employee
gets. Employees performing the same kind of jobs should get the same number
of holidays regardless of their position in the organizational hierarchy.

9. Some businesses observe that people who just finished college have a hard
time interacting with colleagues in working as a team.
What do you think are the reasons behind this? What are your suggestions
to address this problem?

It is true that fresh graduates find it difficult to converse with their coworkers.
There can be a lot of reasons contributing to this problem such as, no proper
training being provided in schools But certain steps can be taken on an
individual add group levels to tackle this.

Several factors contribute to this problem. First of all, there is no specialized

training provided at bachelor or intermediate educational levels. Different
universities do not have any programs for confidence-building skills which
leads to the students being underprepared for professional life. Also, after
acquiring an education, graduates are thrust into a totally different environment
and it takes some time to get used to it closer for instance, in many countries
socializing with people in an office setting is not a part of the curriculum.

Steps can be taken to mitigate this problem on an administrative and individual

level. The school management should introduce different workshops or lectures
on soft skills such as the development of confidence and socialization. They
should also provide simulations of real work environments to the students so
that they can easily adapt to their environment after graduating. In addition to
that, people should learn from different videos on all streaming websites about
spoken and confidence-building skills. For instance, YouTube has many videos
on how to boost confidence in real-life situations. They should also step out of
their comfort zone and talk to a variety of people so; they can gain some
experience in conversing with different people and solving arguments.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the main reason why students finishing
school have problems is that they are not being provided with any special
training, but this can be overcome by introducing different programs and
educational institutes and personality development videos.

10. In many countries, more and more young people are leaving school but
unable to find jobs.
What problems do you think youth unemployment causes for individuals
and the society? What measures should be taken to reduce the level of
unemployment among youngsters?

It is an irrefutable fact that unemployment has increased at a substantial rate

during the last decade. This trend was always debatable and has now become
more controversial with many people claiming that it is showing a hike due to
youngsters dropping out of school. This essay will shed light on the factors
responsible for it and measures to reduce this cause in the upcoming
paragraphs.

To commence with, one of the main underlying reasons stems from the fact is
that many students are not interested in studies and they prefer to use
technological devices, such as Mobile, Computers and Tablets at their
educational institutes due to which they are reluctant to attend classes.
Furthermore, every person is not a bookworm, consequently, some are very
good at cultural activities. To illustrate it, many people drop out of their
education in order to pursue their interests which are only for short/term
duration, hence, in the long run, it affects their employment. Secondly, students
involved in unethical exercises like theft and crimes are rusticated from the
school.

Probing ahead, many solutions can be helpful to curb this menace. Primarily, It
should be mandatory for each school to deploy staff for extra-curricular
activities so that everybody can fulfil their desires. In other words, schools can
impart knowledge on other important topics like music as well as dance. For
instance, these can encourage them to attend lectures on these subjects which
can help them to set up their career in the later stage of their life. In addition to
it, teachers and parents should provide mental and emotional support to their
children so that they are not indulged in societal evils.

To conclude, solving a global issue is not easy but with the joint efforts of
people, control can be taken over the concern with the above-mentioned
measures. This problem cannot be solved overnight, however, the results are
for sure if the above solutions are adopted to mitigate this situation.

11. Some people prefer to work for the same company, whereas others prefer
to change jobs frequently. Write about the advantages and disadvantages
of each viewpoint?

Of late, switching companies have become a trend among the working people.
Even though there are individuals who likes to change jobs, there are some who
would rather continue working for the same establishment. I believe one should
change jobs at times as it enables an individual to thrive in the competitive
market, be confident and also grow financially.

Firstly, to climb up the ladder of success an individual has to be updated daily

with the changing technologies. Exposure to a new work environment opens
gateway to new opportunities. To cite an example, decades back computer
engineers used coding languages such as C, whereas the latest languages they
use, to name a few, are Python, Javascript etc. If a person decides to stay in the
same company doing the same work he does not gain experience with the latest
platform. Consequently, the chances of them being terminated from their work
during a crisis would be high. Whereas, a talented person would be able to
withstand any work pressure due to his experience in several companies.

Another reason would be the increments in wages, as changing jobs means an

upgrade to the income. For example, a software engineer in India gets a
minimum 40% salary hike in his new company with respect to his previous
one. As a result, within the span of a few years he would be receiving twice the
amount he received in his first job. This encourages people to change jobs,
whereas others who sticks to the same company would be entitled to receive
just yearly appraisal.

To conclude, there are individuals who prefer to stay at the same job while
others who likes changing jobs. Analyzing all facts, I agree that switching
companies occasionally is better since it upgrades an individual's knowledge as
well as increase their salary package.

12. In some countries, teenagers have jobs while they are still students. Do you
think this is a good idea?

There is no doubt that the adolescence stage takes place of changes among
youths. Although all workplaces could be beneficial to teens, I believe that
adolescent jobs could be disadvantageous to them. In this is say, I will
delineate both notions, and then come up with my opinion.

To commence with, the biggest important part of adolescence band is the

education. While children are rising up, they should learn more and more. The
onus of education is on their families first, then it lies on schools, societies as
well. The early learning phase of children starts simultaneously with their
biological, psychological, and cognitive development. All of these interactions
prevent them from focusing hardly on one more subject. For instance. If
adolescents work beside their schools, they will inevitably get low marks on
whatever course. So that, their living expenses should be likely taken by their
parents.

The poor extends rapidly across the world. The financial burdens of families
become more difficult every day. To get the matter worse, Tuition fees are
costly for many families. For that reason, many parents have to orient their
offspring to help them by getting jobs. Furthermore, some households immerse
their teens in workplaces, justifying that the more connections with people the
more development of their social skills.

In conclusion, though a quest to inculcate and develop precious skills for

adolescents plays a major role in their personalities, the negative aspects that
such working environments bring to teenage students do not well worth the
cost.
13. Some people prefer to work for themselves or own a business. Others
prefer to work for an employer. Would you rather be self-employed, work
for someone else, or own a business?

It is observed that most people prefer a job because they share their skills,
experience and qualification, increasing the industry market competitive.
Moreover, it will be preferred to struggle for an employer, because a person
can run a field, further it requires a lot of abilities and fund. But, in
employment there are lots of risks and high losses.

Furthermore, self-employment and field require extra knowledge to stand up a

good trade. Without money it is not possible to run an employment. In addition,
people prefer profession, because there is no any investment to endeavour in an
organization. There are various advantages such as start getting revenue
comparative than a trade, there is less responsibility than employment.

Mostly peoples are doing jobs in an organization because they want a chance to
enhance their skills and gain more knowledge. Working as an employer helping
us to maintain a proper routine. There is less stress comparative than the field.
There are so many opportunities that they will be able to switch in a country
rather than outside country. Employer just like a father who is the bearer of all
risks and stress, whereas the employee is like a son, who just follow his
guidance. Work gives salary and other incentives to their employees.

To recapitulate it is said that, in a career there is more freedom, less risks, zero
investment and lots of better opportunities. In contracting there are so many
chances of getting a new appointment once one can lose existing. At the same
time, if service closes it is hard to recover again easily.

ENTERTAINMENT
1. The availability of entertainment such as video games on handheld
devices are harmful to individuals and to the society they live in.
To what extent do you agree and disagree?

The increasing popularity of entertainment on portable devices is believed

to have a negative effect on individuals and society. In my opinion, I think
this development has both benefits and drawbacks.

To begin with, the availability of entertainment on handheld devices is

advantageous in many ways. From an individual perspective, video games
and other types of entertainment serve as excellent relaxation tools for
people who suffer from high levels of work-related stress. These convenient
sources of entertainment allow people to destress whenever they want,
either during breaks or after a long day at work, without having any impact
on their productivity. Also, many mobile games help to create global
communities for people sharing the same interests. For example, PUBG
mobile has successfully hosted international events and competitions, and
thus connected millions of players together from all around the world.

Beneficial as it may be too much easily accessible entertainment on

handheld devices can bring about several negative impacts. Since video
games could be addicting, many young people these days spend too much
time on their devices, and therefore isolate themselves from their families
and friends. This lack of face-to-face interaction not only hurts many real-
life relationships but also increases the risk of mental health issues among
the youth. In addition, when people waste large amounts of time on video
games, they tend to be less active, which can eventually lead to a society of
people living sedentary lifestyles. Lack of exercise over a long period of

causing the deterioration of health and burdening a countries healthcare

2. Some people think that young people can learn useful skills by playing
electronic and computer games. Others argue that people who play
electronic and computer games are wasting their time. Discuss both
views

There have been arguments over the possible impacts that computer and
electronic games might *on the young. Although there is some truth to the
belief that playing games on computers and other electronic devices
enhances certain skills, I would side with those who think playing such
games is a waste of time.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why some people consider video
games as a tool to sharpen some important skills. First, many games, such
as science or puzzle games, stimulate young players’ brains and sensitivity,
which gives those players an opportunity to cultivate their creativity and
problem solving skills. Second, people argue that shooting games, like
Counter Strike, require tremendous focus and extremely fast reflexes to
complete stages in those games. With reflexes and concentration capability
improved, players can demonstrate more effectively daily task which
specifically require those enhanced skills.

On the other hand, I would argue that spending time on video games is a
waste regardless of the possibility of skill development they might offer.
Young people are supposed to study properly either at school or at home, to
which this form of entertainment is a grave detriment. Those types of games
are fun; however, they are addictive at the same time. An excessive amount
of time would be used for games if players are exposed to them on a
frequent basis. This, consequently, results in the reduction of time for study,
which should be people’s top priority at their age. Furthermore, skills
sharpened by computer and electronic games can also be acquired by a
number of other healthy, educational and less timeconsuming options, such
as reading books or participating in sport clubs.

In conclusion, it seems to me that having a few skills enhanced by playing

video games cannot justify the fact that it is a waste of time.
