Monday 23rd January Lord Lee of Trafford to ask Her Majesty's Government what is their current estimate of the

timetable for withdrawal of United Kingdom forces from Afghanistan. Lord Astor of Hever (MOD) Baroness Benjamin to ask Her Majesty's Government what criteria they took into account when deciding to increase the rate of Air Passenger Duty, in particular in respect of flights to the Caribbean. Lord Sassoon (HMT) Lord Walton of Detchant to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they considered including in the Chancellor of the Exchequer's Autumn Statement funding for transport infrastructure projects in the North-East England in addition to the proposed upgrade of the Tyne and Wear Metro; and, in particular, whether they considered funding improvements to the A1 trunk road. Earl Attlee (DfT) Baroness Bakewell to ask Her Majesty's Government what safeguards are contained in the National Planning Policy Framework to protect cultural institutions. Baroness Hanham (DCLG) Tuesday 24th January Lord Grocott to ask Her Majesty's Government what is their latest estimate of the cost of running a reformed House of Lords in the first transitional year of its operation. Lord Strathclyde (CO) Viscount Montgomery of Alamein to ask Her Majesty's Government what action they propose to take with regard to the refusal of entry refusing to Falkland island flagged vessels by Brazil and Uruguay. Lord Howell of Guildford (FCO) Baroness Massey of Darwen to ask Her Majesty's Government what are their current targets for reducing child poverty. Lord Freud (DWP) Wednesday 25th January Lord Luce to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will implement the recommendations of the report Health at work, an independent review of sickness absence. Lord Freud(DWP) Lord Palmer to ask Her Majesty's Government why the Air Passenger Duty on private jets will not be implemented until 2013. Lord de Mauley(HMT) Lord Trefgarne to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they propose to pay the legal costs of the Territorial Army soldier who has been interviewed under caution in relation to an incident in Afghanistan in the summer of 2010. Lord Astor of Hever (MOD) Thursday 26th January Lord Pearson of Rannoch to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they have contingency plans for the disintegration of the EU. Lord Howell of Guildford(FCO) Lord McConnell of Glenscorrodale to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they consider the conduct of free and fair elections to be a prerequisite for United Kingdom aid to developing countries.
