Possible client activities and other construction facilities and crews.

- Loader Operations are High Risk Construction Work, within the categories of “Work in an area with movement of powered mobile
equipment” and “On, in or adjacent to a road, railway, shipping lane or other corridor in by traffic other than pedestrians”.

Part 2: SWMS Procedures


1. The SWMS must be specific to the site environment and the work-crew, equipment and materials. It must identify hazardous
materials, qualifications / XXX concrete services of personnel, permits and authorizations required.
2. The SWMS must comply with the client’s Safe Work Instructions, General Safety Instructions/Rules and Environmental Control
Plans. It must also comply with relevant Codes of Practice concrete services, Legislation and Contract requirements.
3. The workers and supervisors involved in carrying out the work activity must be consulted in identifying the safety and
environmental hazards and determining the work methods.
4. Any significant changes to the work process or sequence or to the type of plant or materials used, is to trigger a review of this
SWMS. The need to review/amend the SWMS is to be assessed in the event of an LTI/MTI, Near Miss, Environmental Breach,
or services served by a regulatory authority.
5. Changes are not to be made to the Safe Work Methods, Plant or Materials prescribed in this SWMS without first consulting
with the work team and Change Management to be initiated.
6. All changes are to be documented, reviewed and approved. All workers are to be inducted into the changes and a record
maintained.
