1.0 Aims/Benefits of the Micro-Project (minimum 30-50 words)=


A printer is a device that accepts space text and graphic output the
information to paper usually to standard size 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper.
Higher Image quality. There is no denying the fact that production
printers are big machines. More Productivity. By natural product
printers get more work done faster than a standers printer or MFP.

Printers

These printers have a mechanism that touches the paper to


create an image. These printers work by banging a print head
containing a number of metal pins which strike an inked ribbon
placed between the print head and the paper.

These printers are create an image on the print medium


without the use of force they don’t touch the paper while
creating a image. Non-impact printers us they don’t strike the
paper.

• The term dot matrix refers to process of placing dot to
form an image.
• Its speed is usually 30 to 550 characters per second (cps)
• This is the cheapest and the noisiest printer and has a low
print quality
Dot matrix was 1st introduced by Centronics in 1970

❖ Disadvantage

A dye-sublimation printer is a printer that works by heating ink


and then depositing it on a surface. The term arises from the
misconception that the ink goes from solid to gas without going
through a liquid phase, or sublimation. Dye-sublimation printers
are used for printing photos and designs on solid objects
