Good morning everyone!
I. Introduce yourself.
My name is Domingo L. Su-ay, I am your accredited Competency
assessor for Computer System Servicing NCII.

A. Acknowledgement.
I would like to acknowledge the presence of Mr. Raymond M. Tupaz, our
Training Center Manager (Good Morning Sir.), and Ms. Gina B. Cabato,
Representative from TESDA Provincial office. Good Morning Mam.
P. Purpose of their Presence
Please do not be intimidated about their presence. They are here to oversee
the conduct of Competency assessment and to check if the conduct is in
accordance with the prescribed Competency Assessment Methodology and
procedures (CAMP). They will not assess you.
C. Checking of Attendance
Before we start, let me check first the attendance. As I call your name
please come forward and present to me your admission slip and sign
the attendance sheet

A. Acknowledging the SAG (Self- Assessment Guide)
I have here your accomplished Self- Assessment Guide. This is an
indication that you know and can perform all the units of Competency
enumerated for Computer System Servicing NC II.
Giving Review of the Qualification
Today, I am going to administer competency assessment for Computer
System Servicing NC II. It is the qualification level with the core
competency namely;
1. Install and configure computer systems
2. Set-up computer networks
3. Set-up computer servers
4. Maintain and repair computer systems and networks
Orientation
a. Purpose of Assessment
The purpose of our assessment for Computer System Servicing NC II is to
determine the level of your competency.
b. Qualification
The units of Competency to be assessed in CSS NC II are in the 4 core
competencies as stated earlier.
c. Tasks to be performed and the evidence to be collected.
The different tasks to be performed for our Computer System Servicing NC II
are the following:
1. Written Exam (30 mins)
2. Demontration (4 hours)
3. Evaluation (30 mins)
You will be given 4 hours to perform the task. I will collect evidences through
demonstration and interview.
Needs of Candidates
For your personal needs, the lavatory and comfort rooms are located
beside the assessment area. And you can also take your meal at our
canteen which is located at the lobby. However, during the assessment,
you are not allowed to leave the premises of the training center.
If you can’t understand the given instruction please do not hesitate to
approach me because I am willing to translate it for you, on your local
dialect.
If you need you have a quiet time for any religious practices, we can allow
you to do so.
If during the assessment, if you have physical or any forms of
difficulty do not hesitate to call my attention so that we can address to it
immediately. You can ask questions prior to your task.
Issuance of National Certificate
For the Issuance of National Certificate, you can claim it at TESDA
Provincial Office within 3 working days after the assessment. Just bring
with you 3 pieces ID passport size, 100 pesos for processing fee and the
CARS.
After the assessment and you found out that you are not yet
competent don’t worry you can come back for reassessment subject to the
availability of the assessor or when you feel confident enough that you
have acquired the competence. Also if you did not pass two consecutive
assessments you will be advised to undergo a refresher course before
applying for reassessment.
In case you have any question about the assessment result, you have
the right to appeal address to TESDA Provincial Office.
Occupational Safety and Health Requirement
During the actual assessment, please observe safety as you
perform the different tasks. Make sure to check your tools and
equipment. Make sure the proper handling of tools and materials to
avoid accident, please call my attention immediately, so we can provide
you with first aid; our medicine cabinet is located beside the tool
cabinet.
Confidentiality of Assessment outcome
With regards to the result of your assessment, we observe strict
confidentiality. This is to ensure your integrity and the integrity of the
assessment process. The result will only be available for authorized
personnel and the institution where you had the actual training. In relation
to this, the assessment package is kept in a secured place to guarantee
the integrity of the assessment package. In line above, may I asked from
the candidates to refrain from giving away any form of information that
took place during the assessment process. Avoid taking picture and videos
during assessment period.

Candidates welcome to the assessment area
Given the necessary tools materials, equipment and facilities needed you
are required to perform in accordance with the standard procedure. You
must practice safety and health standard and finish the task within 6
hours.
Here’s again your specific instruction.(give) If you have any questions you
may ask now, if none you may start your demonstration.
Reminder
Candidates time is up for your demonstration. We will proceed now to the
interview portion.
Interview and Provide feedback on the assessment
Candidate #1 Erwin A. Caliquis please take your seat; for the names
that I did not call, please wait to the waiting area… so we are done with
the demonstration and now it’s time for the interview portion in relation
to what have you performed a while ago.
Interview
3 questions (HOTS)
Thank you Mr. Caliquis you were able to answer all the questions correctly.
During your demonstration, I observed that you performed well and
applied operating standard procedure like safety handling of computer
parts, safety procedure of splicing cable, setting servers.
Based on the evidences I have gathered in the assessment, I conclude you
are already competent in all areas of competencies in CSS NC II. You were
able to answer all questions correctly during interview, perform the task
properly in accordance with the Standard Requirement of the Qualification
(STR) during demonstration. For that Congratulations! You are
Competent. Please sign the rating Sheets and the CARS.
I will endorse the CARS to the AC Manager. You can get your CARS
from him and use your CARS in claiming your National Certificate level II or
NC II at TESDA Provincial Office three (3) working days from today.
Congratulations once again and you may leave this area.
Candidate #2 Mr. Jeg C. Salarda please take your seat, so we are
done with the demonstration and now it’s time for the interview portion in
relation to what have you performed a while ago.
Interview
3 questions (HOTS)
Thank you Mr. Salarda were done with the interview. As f or your demonstration, I
observed that you successfully performed the first 2nd, 3rd and 4th
competencies however, in the 1st competency which install and configure
computer systems, there were areas where you failed to perform properly like
in the setup computer networks and setup computer servers.
Specifically in the diagnose and remedy network fault or problem in
the line with the standard operating procedures and Configure user
access level base on NOS features and established network access
policies/end-user requirements.
As to your oral examination, congratulations you were able address all the
questions correctly.
But in general, sad to say you did not make it because you have one competency
which you failed to perform properly. We all know that you must pass all the four
competencies in order for you to be COMPETENT right? I am sorry you are NOT
YET COMPETENT in this assessment. But do not worry you only have one
competency remaining to be re-evaluated if you are ready enough to take the re-
assessment. Just work it hard and practice so you will be COMPETENT that time
ok.
I will endorse the CARS to the AC Manager. You can use your CARS to apply for
the re assessment. Please sign the rating sheet and the CARS, the result will be
forwarded to AC Manager. Thank you for taking time to undergo this assessment.
