Full Character Name: Clinton Francis ‘Clint’ Barton

Codename: Hawkeye
Aliases/Nicknames: Clint
Play By: Ryan Gosling

Age: 30
Birth date: February 4
Hometown/Birthplace: Waverly, Iowa
Occupation: Adventurer, Landlord, Former SHEILD AGENT
Allegiance: Neutral

Family: Francis Barton (Father, Deceased), Carol Barton (Mother, Deceased, Barney Barton (Brother,
believed deceased)
Significant Others: none at the moment
Others: Dog (pet); Jacques Duquesne (criminal, former mentor); Kate Bishop (Sidekick? Mentee?)

Height: 6’
Weight: 150 lbs
Eyes: brown
Hair: blondish
Distinguishing Features: couple of scars from years of getting the shit kicked out of him.

Appearance: Slim build. Not a lot of bulk, but toned to fight. When not wearing his “costume” he
tends to be dressed casual. Purple t-shirts, blue jeans, purple converse. Purple seems to be a recurring
color, go figure.

PERSONA:

Personality: Clint is….Clint. He’s cool headed, hot headed, egotistical, self sacrificing. He shouldn’t
make sense, but he does. Most of his good natured actions come from him making up for the mistakes
he’s made in the past. He knows he’s a good person, its just hard to show it sometimes. A man of
action, Clint can never stand to be cooped up and left to his own devices. When he’s alone, he tends to
get into trouble. Hell, when he’s with people he gets in trouble. Trouble seems to follow him.
He’s a real man of the people. Despite being well off, he would rather live in a kinda shitty apartment
than a swanky ass baller as hell penthouse. He likes people, they make life worth living. He doesn’t like
being told what to do and will stand his ground, even when it doesn’t make sense. He doesn’t have
much that he takes comfort in, so what’s his is his and that’s how he likes it. However, he’s also
fiercely loyal. If he says he has your back, you better believe that you back is got, even if it kills him.

Goals: To live life and protect the little guy

Fears: Dying alone and unloved
Strengths: expert marksman, particularly with a bow. Can hold his own in a fight.
Weaknesses: Underestimates people that aren’t threats, can’t always turn off the action side of his
brain
Hobbies/Quirks: Seems to always be bandaged somewhere.
Abilities/Skills: now superpowers. Just a normal dude. However, he’s not without some skills to pay
the bills.
Master Bowman: Longbow, Compound bow, Cross bow. If it involves a bow and arrow, he’s pretty
damn good at it.
Expert Marksman: he can hit the wings off a fly with a penny at 50 feet.
Decent Fighter: a mish mash of martial arts training, no mastery of any particular style, just stuff he’s
picked up here and there
He’s pretty strong, about as strong as you would need to be to jump from roof to roof and shoot a bow
and arrow while freefalling. His weakness would be that he’s human. He breaks bones and a bullet to
the head means buh-bye.

HISTORICALLY ACCURATE:

Character History
Clint was born in Waverly, Iowa and lived a positively boring and normal life. Then he and his brother
found themselves orphaned. Rather than suffer in the system The Barton boys ran off and joined the
circus. The upside was they learned skills, fell in love, lived a dreamed life of sorts. The downside was
that the circus was a front for a criminal organization called The Circus of Crime. Barney and Clint were
trained to pick pockets, kick ass and break in to lots of buildings without being detected. They were
trained by a master Swordsman named Jacques Duquenes. He taught Clint how to fire a bow and spy
like no business.

Clint loved it. It was family. Sure, he was stealing a lot of secrets, money and generally breaking
almost every law he could, but it was still family. Things were good. Then it went bad. During a job, a
job that cement Clint and Barney’s rep in the Circus of Crime, they were ordered to kill a guard. A
normal guy, just trying to pay for his daughter’s wedding by working extra night shifts. Clint refused.
Barney didn’t. Clint confronted his brother, and Barney kicked his ass quite intensely. So Clint took the
fall. He was arrested and left to rot in prison by the people he thought were as close as blood.
Fate then intervened. SHEILD had been keeping tabs on the CoC and saw potential in Clint. They
trained him to be better and to do what he was good at for the greater good. But his record wasn’t
spotless. He received countless write-ups for his behavior.

Eventually, he told SHEILD to shove it. So he set out on his own. Moved into a building in New York and
instantly got into trouble. He crossed paths with a russina gang that wanted to buy up buildings and
force out the tenants. Clint didn’t like that. He paid a lot of money and beat a lot of ass to save the
building and the people. Now he’s got himself a dog, a building full of people to protect and a bunch of
Tracksuit draculas on his case. Things could be worse.

WOLVERINE

INFORMATIONAL BITS:

Full Character Name: James "Logan" Howlett

Codename: Wolverine
Aliases/Nicknames: Logan, Weapon X, Wolvie, Claws, Canuck Play By: Hugh Jackman

Age: True Age Unknown

Birth date: Unknown
Hometown/Birthplace: Alberta, Canada
Occupation: Bar Tender, Wanderer
Allegiance: None

Family: James Howlett Sr (Father, Deceased); Elizabeth Howlett (Mother, deceased); Daniel Howlett
(Deceased); Jubilation Lee ('Daughter'/Apprentice/Sidekick)
Significant Others: Rose (Deceased)
Others: Hisako Ichiki (Ward)

Height: 5'3"
Weight: 195 lbs (Without Adamantium); 300 lbs (With Adamantium)
Eyes: Black
Hair: Black
Distinguishing Features: Muttonchops, fang like canine teeth, hirsute

Appearance: Logan doesn't give a rat's ass about his appearance. Jeans and a comfortable shirt,
most times plaid or something similar, with perhaps boots and a cowboy hat are his wear of choice.
Anything that can be thrown away if blood gets on it and its not a loss is best. One can never know
when they'll have to spill blood.

PERSONA:

Personality: Logan is the type of person that plays his emotions and feelings close to the vest like a
good hand of cards. Gruff is the exterior portrayal that all see and most of the time that is who he is.
Its not to say that he doesn't feel sadness or joy as much as anger, their just tempered better. All the
trials of his life mean that he is more likely to lash out in anger when he is sad at a loss of someone or
something. His version of joy could be distilled down to just a smirk or maybe getting of a beer or a pat
on the back or just not killing someone at that moment.

Logan is a passionate man that cares about those around him and will do anything to protect them,
even kill. He has no inhibitions and no self control most times. Sleeping with various women and
drinking beer all the time and killing those that cross his path and anger him don't bother him at all.
They are just part of who he is. Yet at the same time the man is loyal as they come. If you are
someone he cares about he'll go to hell and back for you no questions asked. Logan has much of his
past that he is not proud of but he accepts that he is who he is and has done what he has done. There
is no changing of that. At day's end the man gives his all for what he believes in and those he chooses
to believe in.

Goals: Find out his past

Fears: Losing full control of himself and giving into the berserker rage
Strengths: He's the best there is at what he does
Weaknesses: Hasn't found anything yet
Hobbies/Quirks: Working on his car, killing things
Abilities/Skills: Over the years Logan has picked up numerous fighting styles. Most times he just
goes all out brawling with no style as his healing factor deals with any damage. That being said he is a
master of multiple master arts, is a trained Samurai, and has been taught various fighting stlyes and
tactics from being a soldier and part of the C.I.A and whatever Weapon X put into him. Logan is well
skilled in the use of various weapons, vehicles, and explosives used for killing or fighting if needed.

THE X-GENE:

Power Name: Healing Factor

Description: Wolverine's primary mutant power is an accelerated healing process that enables him to
regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater efficiency than an ordinary human.
Wolverine's accelerated healing powers have been commonly referred to as his mutant healing factor.
The full extent and speed of Wolverine's healing factor isn't known. He has been shown to fully heal
from numerous gunshot wounds, severe burns covering most of his body, and regenerate missing eyes
within a matter of seconds. Among the more extreme depictions of his accelerated healing factor
involves him having his skin, muscles, and internal organs incinerated from his skeleton only to fully
regenerate the tissue within minutes. Adamantium plays a crucial role in the speed of Wolverine's
healing as well because of the fact that it produces a poison that his immune system fights off
regularly. It is said that without the adamantium, his healing rate increases. This power even amends
psychological wounds inflicted as a result of traumatic experiences.

Weakness/Flaws: Wolverine's healing powers force his mind to suppress the memories, sometimes
resulting in amnesia. Wolverine sometimes calls this his mental scar tissue. While the power heals all
his wounds, Logan still feels the pain from each and every injury that is brought upon him.

Power Name: Superhuman Senses

Description: Wolverine possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those of
certain animals. He can see at far greater distances, with perfect clarity, than an ordinary human. He
retains this same level of clarity even in near total darkness. His hearing is enhanced in a similar
manner, allowing him to detect sounds ordinary humans couldn't hear at a greater distances, enough
to hear a teardrop in another room that have thick walls with enough focus. He is able to recognize
people and objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent, even if the
scent has been greatly eroded by time and weather factors, with an extraordinary degree of success.
Wolverine can also use his keen sense of smell to detect lies due to chemical changes within a
person's scent. These senses stem from, at least partially, his constant cellular regeneration, as are his
enhanced physical capabilities.

Weakness/Flaws: Overlapping scents and sounds or sights can overwhelm his tracking of the original
target. Scents obscuring other scents or sounds interrupting other sounds.

Power Name: Super Human Strength

Description: Wolverine's mutant healing factor enables him to push his muscles beyond the natural
limits of the human body without injury, granting him some degree of superhuman strength. His
natural strength is augmented by the demand placed on his musculature due to the presence of over
100 pounds of Adamantium bonded to his skeleton, which also removes the natural limitations of the
human skeletal structure by allowing him to lift weights that would damage a human skeleton.
Wolverine has been depicted with sufficient strength to break steel chains, support the weight of a
dozen men with one arm.

Weakness/Flaws: Wolverine's strength is enough to allow him to press somewhere in excess of 800
lbs but no more than 2 tons.

Power Name: Super Human Stamina

Description: Wolverine's mutant healing factor grants him high immunity against lactic acid and
other fatigue toxins generated by his muscles during physical activity. Wolverine can sustain himself at
peak capacity for several days. His lung capacity is at peak human level enabling him to hold breath
for 6 minutes under water, making his lungs as healthy as human's lungs can get.

Weakness/Flaws: The longer Logan goes without rest or breathing or getting nutrients, the worse the
wear and tear on his body that his healing factor must deal with. If Wolverine is overwhelmed enough
he can be taken down as his body will shut down to better heal.

Power Name: Agility and Reflexes

Description: Wolverine's agility, balance and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels far beyond
the natural physical limits and capabilities of the finest human specimen. Wolverine's agility is
sufficient to allow him to dodge multiple bullets at near point blank range. Other times, able to jump
extremely high and evade several yards.

Wolverine's reflexes are similarly enhanced, they are also superior to those possessed by the finest
human specimen and are equal to the likes of Steve Rogers' (Captain America) due to his
superhumanly acute senses, although most of the time he relies highly on his regenerative healing
factor.

Adamantium Skeleton: Wolverine's skeleton includes six retractable 12-inch long bone claws, three
in each arm, that are housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms. Wolverine can, at will,
release these slightly curved claws through his skin beneath the knuckles on each hand. The skin
between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but the blood loss is quickly halted by his healing factor.
Wolverine can unsheathe any number of his claws at once, although he must keep his wrists straight
at the moment his claws pass from his forearms into his hands. When unsheathed, the claws are
entirely within his hands, allowing him to bend his wrists when they are extended. The claws are made
of bone, unlike the claws of normal mammals which are made of keratin, and were originally believed
to be bionic adamantium implants. The bone claws are sharp and dense enough to slice through
substances as durable as most metals, wood, and stone.

*Adamantium Laced Skeleton: Not part of Wolverine's natural mutant attributes, Wolverine's entire
skeleton, including his bone claws, are laced with the rare, artificial, and virtually indestructible alloy
known as adamantium or True Adamantium. As a result, Wolverine's bones are virtually unbreakable.
The presence of the Adamantium has further enhanced the already razor sharp edge of Wolverine's
bone claws. Aside from being practically indestructible, the claws are capable of cutting any solid
material, with the known exception of True Adamantium and Proto-Admantium (Captain America's
Shield). However, Wolverine's ability to slice completely through a substance depends upon the
thickness of the substance and the amount of force he can exert. The Adamantium also weights his
blows, dramatically increasing the effectiveness of his punches and kicks.

The Adamantium within Logan's body is slowly poisoning him and is kept in check by his healing factor.
If that should fail he would be dead within a number of days.*

HISTORICALLY ACCURATE:

Character History
Born the second son of wealthy landowners John and Elizabeth Howlett in Alberta, Canada during the
late 19th Century, James Howlett was a frail boy of poor health. James was largely neglected by his
mother, who was institutionalized for a time following the death of her first son, John Jr., in 1897. He
spent most of his early years on the estate grounds and had two playmates that lived on the Howlett
estate with him: Rose, a red-headed girl who was brought in from town to be a companion to young
James, and a boy nicknamed "Dog" who was the son of the groundskeeper, Thomas Logan. Thomas
Logan was an alcoholic and was extremely abusive to his son. The children were close friends but as
they reached young adulthood, the abuse inflicted upon Dog warped his mind. His actions would lead
to a tragic chain of events. that started as the three neared their adolescent years when Dog made
unwanted advances toward Rose and James reported it to his father. In retaliation Dog killed James's
pet dog. This in turn resulted in the expulsion of Thomas Logan and Dog Logan from the estate.

Thomas Logan, in a drunken stupor, invaded the Howlett estate with his son and attempted to take
Elizabeth Howlett (implied to be his former lover) with him. John attempted to stop him and Thomas
Logan shot him down in cold blood. James Howlett had just entered the room when this occurred and
for the first time his mutation manifested; his claws extended from the backs of his hands and he
attacked the intruders with uncharacteristic ferocity, killing Thomas Logan, and scarring Dog's face
with three claw marks. Elizabeth Howlett, who was already an emotionally disturbed woman, took her
life immediately afterward with a blast from Thomas's gun. Fearing for their safety, Rose fled the
estate with James, who appeared to have been deeply traumatized and had somehow repressed or
forgotten most of the memories of life back at the estate. Dog falsely reported to the police and
James's grandfather that Rose had murdered John Howlett II and Thomas Logan. The eldest Howlett,
shunned James and with no family left, took Dog in as his ward. However, Dog was already a
burgeoning psychopath and it was too late for his character to evolve down any other path.

In the years that followed, James and Rose took refuge in a British Colombia mining colony under the
guise of being cousins. James also assumed the name of "Logan" in order to hide his identity. As the
hard work of mining toughened his body, and his mutant powers developed, he grew to be unusually
strong and ferocious. He was immune to the elements and even ran with the wolves in the forest,
learning to hunt as an animal hunts. "Logan" became a valuable and admirable figure amongst the
small community of miners due to his hard work and strong ethics, earning him the respect of his
peers, including the foreman Smitty, who became a surrogate father figure to James. During this
period, James developed strong feelings for Rose, but could not act on them for the sake of their guise
as cousins. Smitty, who had been mentoring James all these years, had also grown close to Rose, and
the two eventually fell in love and became engaged, much to the scorn and surprise of James, who
later accepted the situation for the sake of Rose's happiness. Meanwhile, the elder John Howlett was in
failing health and asked Dog to find Rose and his grandson so he could make peace with them before
he died. Dog agreed. However, Dog (who has become a physically formidable man himself) decides to
track them down so he can kill James.

Dog hunted James and Rose down so easily that it seemed he had a preternatural skill for tracking. On
then night that Smitty was due to leave the mining town with Rose, Dog (who bears an uncanny
resemblance to Logan's future nemesis, Sabretooth) finally found and confronted James. Dog reminded
James of his past, and that faithful night back on the estate that had changed all their lives so. The two
fiercely fought in the middle of the street and despite being the physically stronger of the two Dog was
eventually overpowered by the enraged James. As Dog laid unconscious, James unsheathed his claws
for the first time in public, to the shock of everyone watching, and was about to deal the deathblow
until Rose leapt in to stop him but was accidentally was impaled by his claws. Horrified, "Logan" held
her in his arms as she died. He then fled into the woods where he lived in self-imposed exile with a
pack of wolves, presumably for many years.

Logan possesses memories of being a Samurai in Japan, a mercenary operative for the Central
Intelligence Agency, and a "wild man" in the Canadian wilderness. Due to extensive memory implants
given to Logan through the Weapon X program, any or all of these memories are suspect. Logan has at
least one memory of meeting Captain America (Steve Rogers) in World War II while he was in the
Canadian Army which has been verified as true. Sometime after World War II, Logan was taken by a
group of scientists led by Dr. Cornelius as part of the Weapon X program. Cornelius was hired to
perfect and use a technique that would bond the indestructible element adamantium to human bone
cells. Logan's skeleton was bonded to the adamantium, and he was indoctrinated into the Weapon X
assassin program.*

Soon after being part of the Weapon X program, Logan broke free from the program and escaped while
killing Dr. Cornelius and many of the scientists and guards of the facility. After spending many years
alone in the woods with another pack of wolves, Logan was found by a local Canadian couple Mac and
Heather Hudson. The two brought him back to humanity and Logan thanked them before heading out
into the world. The man has traveled for the last few decades and has sought out to find his memories
and his place in the world. That was until the world went crazy and the Sentinels appeared.

Character History
Father Bowen's life started off much as many others do. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, with his
younger sister Melissa, went to a Catholic school with her and as a teenager was debating going into
the military before going to university. His parents did not like this idea, and eventually he gave that
idea up.

Instead he had an experience that brought him to be a servant of God, involving his sister Melissa. As
a young teen, Melissa had been kidnapped and Michael prayed each day that she would be returned
alive and unharmed. He even struck a deal with God that if she was returned in such a condition that
he always said in his prayers, he would give up his ideas of the military and go to the Papacy.

When she was returned to them a little roughed up, but otherwise untouched, Michael never told his
parents why he had the sudden change of heart, just that he was going to be a man of the cloth.

After his final vows, he was sent to Vietnam to work at the Catholic school there, where he taught
Christian studies and French, something he had a knack for they discovered, and met his now dear
friend Xi'an Coy Manh.

He worked closely with her and her brother, even going and meeting their parents and Uncle at Xi'an's
request and soon made friends with all of them. When the political situation in Vietnam turned for the
worse, he helped arrange for the family to get out of the country, already knowing the American
embassy was getting pissy that he was dragging his heels.

He had to return to America and New York before he heard from the Manh family again, and by then
he was given his own little church in a small, close-knit neighborhood in Brooklyn and eagerly helped
not only Xi'an get back into the country but often offering her and her family sanctuary.

After the first time the Manh children were kidnapped, Father Bowen learned to shoot a gun, and
bought one, registered it and got some strange looks.

Still at St. Paul's in Brooklyn, Father Bowen looks after his small congragation, one that openly accepts
anyone, no matter what, which often draws critisim from those higher up in the Church than he.

SERAPHIM

INFORMATIONAL BITS:
Full Character Name:Delilah Faith Matthews (Worthington)
Codename: Seraphim
Aliases/Nicknames: Lila, Faith Play By:Allison Harvard

Age:16
Birth date:May 15
Hometown/Birthplace:unknown
Occupation:student
Allegiance:unaffiliated, will be recruited

Family:Parents Unknown to Lila, biological father is Warren Worthington III, biological mother is
Candice "Candy" Southern
Significant Others:none at the moment
Others:considers Sister Mary Agethena her "mother"

Height:5'11
Weight:125
Eyes:blue
Hair:blonde
Distinguishing Features:large angelic white feathered wings that protrude from her shoulder blades
and can retract almost completely into her back; luminous blue eyes that give her emotions away.

Appearance:
Body Type: Model-esque and thin. Lila is very tall with long wavy blond hair that she straightens (she
gets irritated if her hair curls up after she's worked it straight) and luminous blue eyes. They perhaps
are her most remarkable and memorable feature. She has large white feathered wings that retract into
her back, but is painful when they do, and they do not completely disappear into her back, still leaving
a slight slope to her shoulders.

Wardrobe: tends to dress simply, but attractive. Does not like to cover her wings. She favors Jeans and
halter tops or anything backless to sweaters and skirts, and can be seen trying to copy fashion models
from magazines, but with her meager wardrobe she usually comes across subtly elegant as opposed to
fashionably fabulous.

Costume: Lila wears a white leather skin suit armored and backless to give her room for her wings and
to fly.

Posture: Lila tends to stand ramrod straight because her wings when extended are very heavy, and
when retracted the bones from them force her back to stay straight. She can not bend at the waist
without extending her wings. She often twirls her hair when she is nervous, or bites her nails. Her
unusually wide and expressive eyes tend to give away her emotions.

PERSONA:

Personality: Personality: Shy and sweet, Lila is the girl next door. She is blissfully unaware of how
attractive she is to the opposite sex, and tends to dress fairly casually without realizing that even this
can be sexy. Lila is a fan of jokes, and can be hysterically dry witted when she wants. She is also
incredibly innocent, bordering closely on naieve. Often, people can take advantage of that innocence
and her good heart, as well as her abilities.

Lila has a crippling fear of closed, dark places, and to a lesser extent sex in general. When she was
abducted, she barely remembers what happened to her, especially since her mind has repressed the
memories to the point of flashback and nightmares in her sleep. Because of this, Lila is very slow to
make the first move in making friends or relationships. She feels she is damaged and would not be
good enough for someone else to care about.

A lot of this stems from the knowledge that her parents are out there somewhere they just didn't want
her. Lila knows her powers are useful, but she is a bit afraid of them as well because of how strong it
can be. She frightened herself by almost killing her kidnapper, and then even more by reviving Sister
Mary Agethena. Her powers cost her her family, and in a sense she feels resentful of them, but at the
same time Lila also feels her gifts are just that-- gifts given by God for her to use to help others and
protect those who can't protect themselves.

Goals:To become a full fledged Doctor and X-Man and to one day find her birth parents to ask why
they gave her up.
Fears: The dark, small enclosed places, being restrained
Strengths: Emotionally calm in stressful scenarios, can think first before acting on impulse, good
instincts
Weaknesses:her claustrophobia is crippling and can and will freeze Lila where she stands, turning her
into a sobbing child
Hobbies/Quirks:plays with her hair or bites nails when nervous, tends to blend in invisibly when
feeling shy
Abilities/Skills:flying, music, plays the harp and piano, competent dancer

Likes:

Music, dancing, small furry animals, sunshine, reading, being outdoors

Dislikes:

Mean people, gangs, anti-mutants, small confined spaces, the dark, thunderstorms.

THE X-GENE:

Power Name: Angelic Wings:

Description: Lila has large retractable white feathered wings that sprout from her shoulder blades
and brush the backs of her heels. They are made of hollow bones that allow for her to fly at high
speeds. She can retract her wings into her back, but not completely. it is incredibly painful for her to
do this, and when she does she is unable to bend at the waist for her wings have compressed to that
part of her body. The ends of her wings still protrude, giving a slight slope to her shoulders and
shedding feathers.

Weakness/Flaws: Lila loves to fly, but her vision is that of a normal human so without things like
binoculars it is tough for her to see details outside of a birds eye view. Her wings never fully retract,
and she often sheds when nervous. She max's out at just below the speed of sound and she has flown
as high as 14,000ft. The higher she gets in the air the less oxygen she intakes and risks passing out.
The bones in her wings and most of her body are hollow to allow for high speed flight and therefore are
rather fragile and easy to break.

Power Name:Healing Light:

Description:Lila has the ability to heal almost any internal or external injury or disease by touch.
When she does this, her hands glow with a golden light that travels up her entire body, converting her
whole form into a humanoid shaped being of pure bright white light. While in this form, Lila takes the
injury into herself and exchanges the life energy to heal the injury. She reverts back to humanoid form
when her body heals itself from the taken injury. Lila can only heal one person at a time, and she has
to have physical contact with them. For example, if Jean Grey were in a coma, because of Jean's
telepathy Lila could receive mental contact through Jean's powers and heal her, but to heal her she
must physically touch Jean. When Lila takes on anothers wound to heal them, she psychically retains
the wound until it has been healed by her powers. The psychic scar remains on her for up to a week.

Lila's healing light can be viewed as a form of photosynthesis. Her body absorbs sunlight much the
way plants do, but instead of converting it to food sources or straight up energy, her body stores it as
healing energy. She can store up to twenty four hours worth of healing energy; and this much energy
can be absorbed in 4-8 hours of direct sunlight a day. 24hours of healing light can be expelled as 3-4
hours of continuous healing, healing up to 5 people with minor injuries, or up to three people with dire
to life threatening injuries. Obviously the more serious the injury or illness, the more energy it takes to
heal completely. When the healing energy has been exhausted, it will render Lila unconscious.
Exposure to direct sunlight, or in dire straits a tanning bed, can revive her, otherwise she must rest for
72 hours straight to begin to replenish her reserves.

Weakness/Flaws:Reverting back to human can take several seconds or several hours depending on
the injury, and sometimes (let's be honest... often) has the effect of Lila rendering herself unconscious
and wandering on the psychic plane. She is unable now to heal herself in the same fashion that she
heals others. Healing someone from poisons or toxins is more difficult for unless the poisonous
element is removed from the person's body before she begins to heal them Lila will keep healing until
she exhausts her reserves or succumbs to the poison herself. If Lila depletes her healing light to the
point of where she herself is near death, the only way to help her regain consciousness faster is direct
sunlight. Natural UVA and UVB rays are absorbed through her skin and converted into energy, like a
solar panel of sorts.

Power Name:Light Manipulation:

Description:Lila can bend light around herself to make her appear invisible, as long as she is
stationary. Once she moves, the light ripples and reveals her hiding spot. She can also fire blasts of
searing light and concussive light in a fight. Her largest blast of blinding light extended to a 10 foot
radius. Concussive bursts whack a punch of force equal to that of a heavyweight boxer. Searing light
blasts often leave an effect from a mild sunburn to a second degree burn. She can fire a total of three
rapid bursts at a time, one of each type or three of a kind. For some reason, even in total darkness,
she appears to be lit by tv camera lights.

Weakness/Flaws: When Lila moves while "invisible" she becomes visible to the naked eye. She has a
tendency when eliminating light from the area to scare herself into a claustrophobic attack. Not much
for stealth with always being lit and her wings shedding feathers. Her claustrophobia is crippling, and
in a small dark space Lila can and will freeze solid.

HISTORICALLY ACCURATE:

Character History A little over seventeen years ago, Warren Worthington III met and fell in love with
a lovely young woman named Candice Southern, and the two had a splendid, star-crossed summer
love affair. He gifted her at the end of the summer with a ruby pendant set in white gold with their
initials engraved on the back. Unfortunately this love was not meant to be, for Candy was the daughter
of Southern Industries, Worthington Enterprises biggest competitor.

Nine months later, Delilah Faith Matthews was found abandoned on the steps of the Sisters of Mercy
Catholic Church in Manhattan, NY. Around her neck was a gold and ruby pendant, and a note was in
the basket saying her name was Delilah and she was a mutant. Her mother could not keep her
because of who she and her father were, please find her a good home.

The sisters gave her the middle name of Faith, because her parents had had such faith to leave the
child in their care, and gave her the last name of Matthews, after the gospel lesson for that Sunday,
Matthew 7:1 "Judge not lest ye be judged". Lila lived with the sisters in the convent until she was old
enough for school, and they had a collection taken up among the sisterhood and the congregation to
finance her education. Scholarships were hunted down and secured to send her to boarding school.

For a while, this was a blessing. but when Lila turned 12 and her wings sprouted, she was terrified of
what was happening to her. She spent the night in the bathroom, scratching her back raw and
bleeding with a metal file. The nurse found her after one of the girls reported her crying and bleeding.
Her English professor was her strongest supporter, as well as her counselor and confidant. After
extensive examination, the nurse and headmaster decided it was best for Lila to return to the convent,
and they expelled her.

The sisters did everything they could to help Lila, including binding her wings until she learned to
retract them on her own into her back. It is quite painful for her, and she doesn't like doing it to this
day. Lila stayed with them, until she was 16 and abducted by her old English professor, who by now
had become obsessed with her. He kept her captive somewhere she only recalls as small and dark
until her light powers activated. Blinding him, Lila fought her way out and flew back to the convent in a
panic. Sister Mary Agethena was so frightened by her reappearance that her old heart gave out, and
she had an attack. Lila tried to revive her with CPR, but when her hands touched the old nun's chest
they glowed gold, then her entire body turned into white light, and Sister sat up with a jolt, proclaiming
a miracle. The sisters dubbed Lila their Seraphim, a guardian angel.

HISTORICALLY ACCURATE:

Character History
Kate grew up in an affluent family amongst Manhattan's elite. Posh private schools, maids, butlers,
drivers, high fashion and social functions was her life which substituted for the fact that she had an
emotionally distant and often uninvolved and away father and a mother before she died was equally as
self-involved with her charities and functions. Even with the death of her mother there really was no
support network other than the hired help and her sister Susan (when Susan was in town).

Kate had stopped looking for her father's approval around the time of her mother's death. That wasn't
to say that she didn't care, in actuality it hurt that he was so uninvolved and took little notice of her
and for a while she had actually tried to get his attention by attempting to be the best, at school, with
the cello, in fencing, archery everything she was involved in she tried to stand out to make him take
notice but he didn't and Kate gave up trying. She stopped trying to live for others and just
concentrated on living for herself.

As a role model Kate looked up to her older sister Susan and despite the fact that Susan was mostly
away at boarding schools overseas she still kept in constant contact with her. Susan was the brilliant
one in the family and had opportunities to study abroad. So the remainder of her childhood comprised
of functions and events with the social elite, jet setting, social climbing, and the likes and for a while
she had bought into that world as well until one day, all of that changed.

A few months prior to her sister Susan's wedding, Kate was kidnapped and assaulted, kept in a box
freezer with another girl; a victim before her. The captivity, the cold darkness and the confined area
was maddening even if she had only been captive a day , that was one day too many in her eyes. The
first chance she got, she fought back and escaped. The event initially left Kate traumatized and
isolated.
Kate was then made to meet with a therapist regularly for a year to help work through some of her
issues regarding the incident.

However, the ordeal eventually motivated her to learn several forms of combat fighting and self-
defense and is what drives her today in her vigilante escapades. Her mimetic reflexes helped her
become proficient in swordplay, archery and martial arts to the point where she is a pretty competent
crime fighter. She still has a lot to learn though and by no means can she do it all on her own (even if
she thinks she can) but it is a start.

Presently while not patrolling the night protecting the innocent from muggers and the likes she lives at
home in the upper eastside in an apartment building owned by her father and goes to school like a
normal College student. By nightfall though she becomes a vigilante archer making sure that what
befell her those years ago does not happen to someone else.

Technologies’ personal assistant feature for smart phones. Think the iPhone’s SIRI, but cooler.
However, Warlock’s program begin to act strangely. His learning grew to the point where he gained
mild sentience.

Warlock’s growing independence caused Doug to submit the previous version of the program to be the
final bid. He decided that the greater need for Warlock was to the further of AI studies. Doug began to
nurture Warlock’s thirst for knowledge, teaching him about movies, books, and all sorts of stuff. He
became Doug’s best friend, the two were bonded. However, Warlock’s development as an intelligent
being was beginning to manifest itself as a need for independence. He had spent two years interacting
with anonymous people online and the Ramsey Family.

together locally in Westchester. For the next year of his “Life” Warlock and his omnilingual friend

HISTORICALLY ACCURATE:

Character History

Born in Rhinebeck, New York, to Italian parents, who tried to teach their son the value of a dollar,
Guido Carosella showed this by earning a fortune in a settlement when his parents were killed by
falling space debris. Skinny and shy, Guido's mutant powers were triggered in childhood when an
incident with schoolyard bullies and being hit by a bus ended in his body becoming disproportionally
large and over muscled, separating the already withdrawn boy even further from his peers. Luckily, he
had the love and support of his aunt and uncle, who had taken him in after his parents' deaths, and
Guido coped with his pain, both emotional and the physical pain generated by his transformed body,
by developing an outgoing "public face", rarely letting even those close to him see him in any
discomfort.

After losing much of his fortune, he began to take on jobs that would allow him to maintain his
luxurious lifestyle. This led to Guido becoming a roadie and bouncer for various bands and/or clubs.
Eventually he became the roadie for mutant rock group, Zebras From Space. Guido would date, but he
often found it hard to establish a meaningful relationship with anyone because of his deep rooted self
esteem issues stemming from his constant pain due to his mutation.

Guido never had a problem with his mutation, other than the constant pain and somewhat deformed
body. However, during a skirmish in a Scottish club during Zebras from Space’s UK tour ended in Guido
having a severe heart attack. Due to his being a mutant, no hospital would receive him. Instead he
ended up at Muir Island where he was cared for by Dr. Moria MacTaggart. Apparently what had
happened was Guido had absorbed kinetic energy from the fight. Since he didn’t know he was doing it,
he didn’t realize that it was overloading his body and cause intense strain on his already strained
heart. Guido spent the next year and a half taking a break from the Zeebs to learn the limits of his
powers. The main thing being that any kinetic energy he builds up needs to be expended in 90
seconds or else it will put way too much strain on his heart. Also he learned that at his peak strength,
he can lift at least 100 tons, again, only for ninety seconds or his heart could give.
After getting his powers under control, Guido returned to the states. He moved into a somewhat okay
apartment in an area with a high population of mutants. He was living the good life, keeping punks in
check, rocking and rolling, enjoying a cold beer or two and protecting the little guy. He also kept in
touch with a few of the fine folks on Muir Island. But he had no purpose. While he had been off getting
well, the Zebras from Space were off breaking up the band. Guido had no purpose.
He returned to the states, hoping to reconnect with his family. However, he was arrested for being a
mutant under the laws of the Creed Administration. Guido spent the majority of the time locked up in a
cell, covered in chains to contain his enormous size. Upon his release from prison, Guido was given a
small check, a bus ride and the news that his Aunt Lois and Uncle Lou were dead. Guido moved
wandered from place to place, mostly picking up odd jobs as a bouncer or security. Nothing fulfilling

though. So he moved back to New York and needs a new chapter to begin. KARMA

INFORMATIONAL BITS:

Name: Xi'an Coy Manh

Code Name: Karma (not assumed yet)
Aliases/Nicknames: Shan, Xi-Xi, Detective Manh

Play By: Da Nhat Yen

Age: 27
Birthday: October 31st
Hometown/Birthplace: Brooklyn, New York/ Highlands of Vietnam
Allegiance: X-Factor Investigations
Family Tree:
Parents: Unnamed father (deceased), Unnamed Mother (deceased)
Siblings: Tran Coy Manh (Twin brother, deceased), Leong (younger brother, about 15), Nga (younger
sister, about 13)
Signifigant Others: N/A
Others: General Nguyen Coy (Uncle, deceased), Ba Coy (Adopted Cousin, "Honorable Cousin")

Friends: Father Michael Bowen, Dect. Scott Summers, Dect. Lucas Bishop
Enemies, Foes, or Rivals: General Nguyen Coy (Uncle, deceased), Ba Coy (Adopted Cousin, "Honor-
able Cousin")

Height: 5'4"
Weight: 119 lbs
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black; dyed as needed for cases.

Distinguishing Features: Xi'an's hair is dyed when needed for cases. It is very common to see a
short Asian woman with crazy colored hair wandering around the NYPD. She has a tattoo on her left
shoulder of a yin and yang with a sakura blossom surrounding it, something she had gotten to remind
herself to always stay in balance, and never loose her femininity despite having to be a "tough chick"
for her profession. Double ear piercings with the possibility of about four more coming up usually done
as needed on assignment as well as just because she likes to pierce her ears.

THE X-GENE:

Power Name: Mind Posession

Power Description: Karma is a mutant who has the psionic ability project a psionic energy surge that
overwhelms her victims' consciousness while placing her mind in command, allowing her to alter their
perceptions and memories, command entranced opponents to divulge information, or operate their
bodies as if they were an extension of her own. She can control her subject's actions and experience
what the subject's senses perceive. During the possession her subject's higher brain functions revert to
diminished levels, similar to their state in a dreamless sleep, and the subject is left with no memory of
the actual possession. Although Karma can possess multiple subjects simultaneously, her control over
her subjects is fragmented as she shifts her attention from one to another. Possibly she will overcome
this handicap as her experience in using her powers grows. When Karma first takes possession of
someone, she can only move her subject's body awkwardly until she acclimates herself to her new
host body.

Power Weakness: As wonderful a power as this is, there are many downfalls. First if Karma pos-
sesses more than one person there is always the risk of someone slipping out of her grasp and regain-
ing their senses. That is very dangerous and could lead to nothing good. Also if Karma controls too
many people she can wear herself out and pass out. Again a very dangerous risk. Then there's also the
slightly obvious first few minutes of the possession where Karma has to adjust to the new body. If not
careful someone could clue in that something is not right with the person she's possessing and start
asking questions.
Power Name: Sensory Link
Power Description: Karma may establish a partial possession and gain the feeling’s and sensations
of the target.

Power Weakness: This could be considered a very minor form of empathy and like empathy has it's
failings if Karma is not careful. If the target is in extreme pain, or some other extreme emotion it will
reflect back to her and could very well disable her if it is strong enough. This is one power that Karma
uses as little as possible due to the chances of feeling things that she'd rather not.

Power Name: Psionic Deflector Shield

Power Description: Generates a psionic deflector shield that disrupts incoming psi-signatures, pro-
tecting her from all manner of psychic assault.

Power Weakness: While using this gift, Karma is unable to possess someone, as it disrupts psi-signa-
tures, her own and ones projected at her.

Power Name : Tags

Description: Karma has the ability to "tag" people through a lot of personal discipline and a few mini
possessions that leave an empathic line to the person, or persons she chooses. She has had "Tags" on
her siblings since her parents died, and has used them to follow her siblings and find out where they
were being held after kidnapping.

This is in no way telepathy, as Karma does not have the ability to read minds or do any of the other
things a telepath can do like projecting, reading of minds, telepathic conversation, etc. All she can do
with this tag ability is empathically feel, and follow with 85% accuracy to where the person is, given
how far apart they started.

Power Weakness: Karma can only "tag" about ten to fifteen people at a time, and with two tags per-
manently stuck in her head, her ability to tag teammates and students decreases as she won't give up
her link to her siblings.

Most of the time, Karma will tag teammates before a mission and it will be a basic, surface one, to help
keep track of them without being able to feel their pain and such as they fight. After a while those tags
will fade, and she will have to renew them.

Since Karma is not a telepath, when she is tracking her tags she has to focus solely on what she is do-
ing and as such is very vulnerable and requires protection, as she cannot use her power and fight.

Karma can also not use this power when she is using her psonic deflector shield.

HISTORICALLY ACCURATE:

Character History
Xi'an Coy Manh was the daughter of a colonel in the Vietnamese army. Xi'an and her twin brother Tran
Coy Manh were mutants with the power to take mental possession of the minds of others. While still a
child, Xi'an saw an assassin threaten Tran. Not realizing she had a superhuman power, Xi'an
nevertheless, acting impulsively, took possession of the soldier's mind and stopped him from killing
Tran. Tran then successfully attempted the same feat and forced the assassin to kill himself. While
Tran took great delight in this use of his new found power, Xi'an was frightened of her power. She kept
their powers secret, but Tran told their uncle Nguyen, a general in the Vietnamese army.

General Coy later arranged for Xi'an's family to leave Vietnam, which was now entirely under a
Communist government, but only Tran was sent abroad an airplane.

Eventually, the rest of the family left Vietnam on a small, crowded boat. Xi'an's father was murdered
by attacking pirates, who assaulted the women; her mother died the day the survivors were rescued
by the United States Navy. Xi'an, her younger brother Leong, and her younger sister Nga, were sent to
the United States to be reunited with their uncle Nguyen and Tran.

General Coy had become a powerful and prosperous criminal in the United States (although he was
publicly known as a businessman), and Tran was using his powers in his uncle's employ. When Coy
asked Xi'an to use her powers in his service, she refused. She sought help from a Catholic priest,
Father Michael Bowen, whom she had known in Vietnam. With Father Bowen's aid Xi'an secured
employment and an apartment and enrolled her younger siblings in school, as well as working out an
education plan of her own.

But then General Coy kidnapped Leong and Nga in an effort to blackmail her into working for him.
Desperate to save her siblings, Xi'an snuck into where her siblings were being held and overtook the
minds of two of the guards in charge of holding the children. After getting those two to take the
children out and get them safe, she had them come back and relinquished control. After that she took
over a few more guards and had them trash the place and beat one another up, to make it seem like
someone else had broken in and caused a ruckus. Xi'an, once she finished, wearily exited back the
way she came and was reunited with Leong and Nga.

Seeking sanctuary and protection from her uncle-or the very least the image of protection- Xi'an took
her siblings and herself to the church where Father Michael was located. He gladly gave them
sanctuary.

Finding them a place to live, and helping Xi'an get her citizenship, Father Michael made it slightly
easier for Xi'an to go to school and get a job to support her siblings as they too went to school, all the
while dodging the mob, which was continually after Xi'an in an attempt to use her oddity to further
them in the underground world.

Assisting the police in busting the few that came after them, her help increased their arrest rates
which made the higher ups very happy.

Soon her siblings were kidnapped again, and Xi'an's rescue coincided with a police raid and it was then
she met a man named Lucas Bishop, only an officer at the time, and working with him managed to
rescue her siblings again and this time bring down her Uncle.

During the ruckus of the fight, Xi'an went after her siblings and found herself face-to-face with her twin
brother. Swallowing hard she stood her ground and came out victorious at the end, though her brother
was dead.

Another officer found her sobbing over the body, while Bishop got her siblings out as quickly as he
could. The trip to the station was quiet, as Xi'an tried to hold it together for her siblings. Once there
she gave her statement and clearly told the officers that yes, she did kill the man they found and yes
he was family, her twin brother in fact. When they asked if he attacked her she told him he had and
she didn't mean to have killed him.

After getting cleared by the DA's office she steadfastly told them that neither she nor her siblings
would be testifying and they tried to go back to their lives.
When Xi'an entered University she knew where she was going, as her Uncle's mob had not died and
she was going to do her damnedest to shut them down.

Entering criminology she met a man named Scott Summers, only a year or so ahead of her and they
ended up discussing their charges, Scott's being his children, Xi'an's her siblings.

The Brooklyn police were more than willing to take her, since she had helped them bust one of the
largest mobs in the area, after she finished the academy as a Detective. Once in Vice it became clear
that Xi'an had a knack for undercover work and was given those assignments.

Currently she has just gotten off a rather long case and is looking to go bother her friends who worked
briefly with her before being transferred one, then the other, and then partnered up, up in Major
Crimes and drag them out to relax after work.
