Reflection of Light

1. Draw the reflected ray to complete each ray diagram. Remember to use a ruler and a
sharp pencil. In the first example, the normal has been drawn for you.

2. Complete the sentences by choosing the correct words from the box below.

When light reaches a surface, such as a mirror, it is off

the surface in a single direction. This is called reflection. The angle of

reflection is to the angle of incidence.

If the light is reflected off a surface, it is in all

directions. This is called reflection. This type of reflection produces a

image, or no image at all.
