### 1. **Tell us about yourself.

**

**Answer:**

“Good morning, I’m Pratik Mohite. I’ve completed a Bachelor’s in Hotel

Management and Catering Technology, with hands-on experience working
in the hospitality industry. I worked as a Front Desk Assistant at Oberoi
Mumbai, where I ensured smooth check-ins and resolved guest concerns
proactively. I also completed my industrial training at Taj Lake Palace,
gaining experience in multiple departments like room service, kitchen,
housekeeping, Front Office, and F&B. I’m transitioning to the aviation
sector, where I can bring my strong customer service skills and attention
to detail to a cabin crew position.”

### 2. **Why do you want to become a cabin crew member?**

**Answer:**

“I’ve always enjoyed working in customer service, and my previous roles

in hospitality have allowed me to develop strong communication and
problem-solving skills. The cabin crew role excites me because it allows
me to continue delivering excellent service, but in a more dynamic and
fast-paced environment. I’m passionate about making people feel
comfortable and safe, and I believe this role would be a perfect fit for my
skills.”

### 3. **What makes you suitable for the cabin crew position?**

**Answer:**

“My experience in the hospitality industry, especially at high-end

properties like Oberoi Mumbai and Taj Lake Palace, has trained me to
handle guest needs efficiently and with empathy. I’ve worked under
pressure, dealt with difficult situations, and ensured guest satisfaction
consistently. I’m also patient, well-organized, and a good communicator—
traits that are essential for cabin crew members. I believe my background
and these qualities make me well-suited for this role.”
### 4. **How would you handle a difficult passenger on a flight?**

**Answer:**

“I would stay calm, listen carefully to the passenger’s concerns, and

respond politely. It’s important to empathize with the passenger and find a
solution that ensures their satisfaction without compromising safety or
service standards. From my experience in hospitality, I’ve learned that
most situations can be diffused by understanding the customer’s
perspective and maintaining a positive attitude.”

### 5. **Tell us about a time when you worked as part of a team.**

**Answer:**

“During my industrial training at Taj Lake Palace, I worked across multiple

departments, including the kitchen and housekeeping. One instance I
remember well was when we had to prepare for a VIP event. The
coordination between the F&B, kitchen, and housekeeping teams was
crucial. I worked with my colleagues to ensure the rooms were spotless,
the service was prompt, and the food presentation was flawless. The
event was a great success, and it highlighted the importance of teamwork
in achieving the best guest experience.”

### 6. **What do you think is the most challenging part of being a cabin
crew member?**

**Answer:**

“I think managing different types of passengers while maintaining a high

standard of service can be challenging. However, my experience in
hospitality has taught me how to handle a range of customer needs and
how to remain calm under pressure. Another challenge could be adapting
to different time zones and long hours, but I’m confident in my ability to
manage my energy and stay focused on delivering excellent service.”

### 7. **How do you ensure passenger safety during a flight?**

**Answer:**

“Passenger safety is the top priority. I understand that following airline

safety procedures is crucial. I would ensure passengers follow the rules,
like wearing seat belts, storing luggage correctly, and being aware of
emergency exits. My role would also involve keeping calm during
emergencies, giving clear instructions, and reassuring passengers to
maintain order and safety.”

### 8. **Why should we hire you as part of our cabin crew team?**

**Answer:**

“My diverse experience in the hospitality industry has prepared me to

handle customer service at the highest level. I’m skilled at managing
different customer needs, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring guests
feel valued and respected. My attention to detail, ability to remain calm
under pressure, and passion for providing top-notch service make me a
strong candidate for your cabin crew team.”

### 9. **How do you manage stress, especially during busy or

challenging flights?**

**Answer:**

“I manage stress by staying calm, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining a

positive attitude. During my time at Oberoi Mumbai, I often had to juggle
multiple tasks, such as handling guest complaints, managing check-ins,
and ensuring everything ran smoothly. In these situations, I focused on
one task at a time and maintained a friendly, professional demeanor,
which helped me stay composed. I would apply the same approach during
challenging flights by staying organized and relying on my training.”

### 10. **How would you deal with a medical emergency on board?**

**Answer:**

“First, I would stay calm and assess the situation quickly. I would alert my
team and follow the airline’s safety and emergency protocols. If there’s a
need for medical assistance, I would ask if there’s a doctor on board and
provide basic first aid if necessary, based on my training. Communication
with the captain and keeping other passengers informed and reassured
would also be essential. Ensuring the safety and comfort of the passenger
in distress would be my top priority.”
### 11. **Describe a time when you went above and beyond for a
customer.**

**Answer:**

“At Oberoi Mumbai, a guest had lost their luggage and was extremely
stressed as they had an important meeting. I quickly contacted the airline
and assisted in tracking down the luggage while also providing the guest
with essential toiletries and arranging laundry for their available clothes. I
also coordinated with housekeeping to ensure their room was prepared
with everything they needed. The guest was grateful for the personalized
attention, and the situation was resolved smoothly.”

### 12. **What does excellent customer service mean to you?**

**Answer:**

“Excellent customer service means anticipating and meeting the needs of

the customer while making them feel valued and comfortable. It’s about
going the extra mile to ensure they have a positive experience, even if
there are challenges. For me, it also involves clear communication,
patience, and a willingness to listen. In hospitality, I’ve seen firsthand how
a small gesture can make a huge difference to a guest, and I believe this
applies to cabin crew service as well.”

### 13. **How would you handle a situation where two passengers are
arguing?**

**Answer:**

“I would approach the passengers calmly, introduce myself, and ask both
sides to explain their concerns one at a time. I would listen carefully and
acknowledge their frustrations while maintaining control of the situation.
My goal would be to find a peaceful solution by offering alternatives or
compromises that would satisfy both parties. If necessary, I’d inform my
colleagues or the senior crew for additional support. De-escalating the
situation quickly and calmly is essential to maintaining a pleasant
atmosphere on board.”
### 14. **What do you know about our airline? Why do you want to work
with us?**

**Answer:**

“I admire your airline’s reputation for delivering exceptional customer

service and maintaining high safety standards. I know that your brand
focuses on creating a welcoming, comfortable experience for passengers,
which aligns perfectly with my personal values and professional
background in hospitality. I want to work with your airline because it offers
a great opportunity to grow within the industry and allows me to apply my
skills in customer care and service excellence in a global environment.”

### 15. **How do you stay motivated during long shifts or overnight
flights?**

**Answer:**

“I stay motivated by focusing on the passengers’ experience and keeping

in mind the responsibility that comes with the role. During my time in
hospitality, I often worked long shifts, but my drive to provide excellent
service kept me energized. I also make sure to manage my energy by
taking short breaks when allowed, staying hydrated, and maintaining a
positive attitude. Being part of a team also helps as we support each other
during long or overnight flights.”

### 16. **If a passenger complains about the food, how would you
handle it?**

**Answer:**

“I would listen carefully to the passenger’s concern and apologize for any
inconvenience. I would then offer an alternative meal option or see if we
can accommodate their preference. If no alternative is available, I would
provide a small gesture, like offering a complimentary drink or snack, to
make up for the inconvenience. It’s important to stay calm, polite, and
focused on finding a solution that makes the passenger feel heard and
satisfied.”
