Date: TEXT MANIPULATION
AIM:
To manipulate the given text by changing font type, font size, align the given text,
spelling and grammar check, bulleting and numbering.
PROCEDURE:
1. To open a new writer document, click Start → Libre Office 24.2 → LibreOffice
Writer.
2. To manipulate the given text, we have to select the given text by using cursor (or)
by pressing CTRL + A.
To change the font type:
3. After selecting the text, select the required font type
by clicking the down arrow.
To change the font size:
4. After selecting the text, select the required font size by clicking the
down arrow.
Left aligning:
5. After selecting the text, select button (or) Press CTRL + L.
Centre aligning:
6. After selecting the text, select button (or) Press CTRL + E.
Right aligning:
7. After selecting the text, select button (or) Press CTRL + R.
Justification of text:
8. To justify a text, select button (or) Press CTRL + J.
Text in bold:
9. To make the text Bold, select button (or) Press CTRL + B.
Text in Italic:
10. To make the text Italic, select button (or) Press CTRL + I.
Text underlining:
11. To Underline the given text, select button (or) Press CTRL + U.
Intending the text:
12. To indent the given text, move the cursor to the starting word of the appropriate
line and press the “Tab” Key (or) select button.
For Spelling Check:
13. For Spelling check, select button.
For Grammar Check:
14. For Grammar check, select button and put a tick mark in Check Grammar
option under Spelling Sub-menu.
For Bulleting:
15. For Bulleting, select button.
16. To change the bulleting style, select the down arrow near bulleting button and
select the required bulleting style.
For Numbering:
17. For Bulleting, select button.
18. To change the numbering style, select the down arrow near numbering button and
select the required numbering style.
RESULT:
Thus, text manipulation has been applied in the given text.
