Sharing a Folder in a LAN
1. Make sure that you are connected in a LAN.
2. Create the folder you want to share if you don’t have a folder to share yet.
3. Right click the folder to share and select ‘Properties’. Click ‘Sharing’.
4. Select ‘Share’. Type ‘Everyone’. Change the permission level to ‘Read/Write’. Then, click ‘Share’.
5. Click ‘Advanced Sharing’. Check the ‘Share this folder’ option. Then, click ‘Permissions’.
6. Allow ‘Full Control’ for ‘Everyone’. Click ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’.
7. Click ‘Network and Sharing Center’.
8. Select ‘Turn on network discovery’, ‘Turn on file and printer sharing’, and ‘Allow Windows to manage
homegroup connections (recommended)’.
9. Select ‘Turn off password protected sharing’.
Once, these are all done, the folder is now shared.
Check if the folder is shared in the network. In another computer, go to ‘Network’ in the File Explorer
and double click the computer that shared the folder.
If you can’t find the other computer, type the IP address of the computer instead.
