Module 1 and 2
Pre- Activity
1. You learned in TFN that client teaching can occur with any person and at
any time or place. Recall your past experience. List at least 5 situations
where you could have given health education but did not.
(1) When they asked me for tips on how to make their diet better, I didn't
provide them any information about a healthy diet.
(2) On a public transportation, I overheard a discussion about someone who
was addicted to smoking, but I chose not to step in and provide help or
resources to help them stop.
(3) I didn't offer advice on how to prevent headaches or what medications
my relative should take while she was complaining about them.
(4) My friends indicated that they were stressed, but I didn't give any advice
for how to handle stress.
(5) I saw a number of folks working out in the gym locker room with incorrect
form. However, I did not provide guidance on appropriate methods to avoid
harm.

Stress Management Support
Providing my friends who was going through burnout with work-life balance
advice and stress management skills would have helped them deal with
stress more effectively. Preventing additional complications with mental and
physical health

My family has started providing information about better eating options
during family dinners. It's possible that members were motivated to alter
their diets for the better, which enhanced their general health and well being

the health care system.
Chronic disease prevention and management:
Educating individuals about lifestyle choices, such as diet, exercise, and
stress management, can help prevent and manage chronic diseases like
diabetes, hypertension, and obesity.

Who we can teach
-Anyone who needs assistance, especially patients: As a nurse, you play a
critical role in patient education, fostering health literacy and equipping
people with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage their health.
Where we can teach
-Anywhere that patient education sessions are being conducted or where
patients require education.
When we can teach
-As a nurse, we can teach patients and their families about their health
conditions, medications, treatments, and self-care techniques during their
hospital stay or outpatient visits. Additionally, you can provide health
education in community settings, schools, or workplace
Module 3
Pre-activity
-Last semester, I had the best instructor I've ever had. He's a kind and
inspiring guy, and I learned a lot from him, including how to study diligently.
He imparted morality and helped us to concentrate on our goals in life. He's
the finest for me, yet he's severe. I recall him saying to never be envious of
those at the top, but to look up to them and find inspiration in them.
