Some people think that the best way to stay fit is to join
a gym/health club while others think doing everyday
activities such as walking and climbing stairs is
sufficient. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

These days sedentary lifestyles are making people focus on their health goals. For
some individuals staying fit is all about going to the gym whereas for others it is
about incorporating daily movements in their day to day life. For me, being a
member of a health club is more beneficial.
On one hand, there are some advantages of going to a health club for staying fit
and active. First of all, gyms have professional trainers who can guide in a proper
way without injuring our body and also motivate us in ways which result in
increased success of fitness goals. Another reason for opting to join health clubs is
that the individual has to pay membership fees which ultimately forces a careful
consideration so that the gym goers can develop a habit due to serious intention.
The next important point to be noted is that in gyms, people workout harder and
due to availability of different equipment they can reach their health goals faster
than ever.
On the other hand, people believe that there are several benefits of daily actions to
stay fit. The most important thing is daily movements like walking and climbing
stairs. This is because they are done on a daily basis regularly, so naturally, they
are part of everyday life. Another reason they are widely preferred is that they are
cheap so there are no membership fees, no equipment needed and no trainers. We
can also consider that it is best for busy people as they do not require a separate
timetable set aside for going to the gym and can easily integrate exercise into their
own schedule.
In conclusion, I feel that going to the gym helps reach fitness goals faster,
encourages more serious focus on fitness, and gives one access to professional
advisors. However, if someone has some constraints in their life that would prevent
them from maintaining a gym membership, there are still ways to remain fit by
using their day-to-day activities.
