Problem Statement
Collaborate and create! Imagine a weightless world where everything floats
freely. Use your animation skills to bring this idea to life. Characters
gracefully navigate through the air, defying gravity. Craft a captivating
animation that mesmerizes and showcases your talent. Unleash your
creativity and let the magic unfold!
Description
Participants have to make the looping animation. The theme and elements
of the animation will be anything of your choice. Also we will provide you
raw/base animation.
Rules
The animation will be provided by 27 Sept 2024 and the deadline of
submission would be 4 Oct 2024 11:59 PM and any submission after the
deadline will not be considered
There are no constraints pertaining to the imagination; participants are
encouraged to come up with their most captivating creations yet
The looping animation should be of 5 seconds @30fps which is to be
submitted in the form of a Google Drive Folder Link which should be
submitted through the google form. Source file along with the video
should be added in the google drive
Elements in the final submission should all be 3D models and external
assets can also be used for this event
Sound effects to be added should be relevant to the elements in the
scene
The composition can be done using other software. (e.g. after effects)
FMC Weekend reserves the right to share any of the submissions over its
pages as well as on allied handles. The participants shall be
acknowledged
Participants must follow the official page of the Animation club of IIT

The decision of the judge(s) shall be final and binding to all

Participation Guidelines
Registration for the online event will begin at the official website of
FMC Weekend
After completion of the registration and payment, all the information
will be conveyed through the Whatsapp group
Participants will submit their entries in the form of a Google Drive
folder Link which should be submitted through the google
form(which will be shared at the start of the event).

Problem Statement
We all fantasize about the Iron Man suit, the lasers of Superman, the world
of Avatar and many things. Ever wondered how they are created and what
would you do if you had the chance to create them? Well it’s time to
showcase your skills and imagination to create the vfx world you desire!!!
Description
Participants have to create a VFX based video. The scene must be set in
Varanasi with all elements having links to Varanasi.
Rules
This is a HYBRID event and it will begin sharply from 26 September and
the deadline of submission would be 6th Oct. Any submissions after the
deadline will not be considered
Video should be greater than 10 seconds and less than 59 second
Final submission should be a video along with all the necessary files of
the softwares used(Like Blender, Cinema 4D , after effects
Composition can be done in any software(Eg. After Effects
Previously shot clips in Varanasi are usable and you can come here and
shoot in real time as well
Elements in the final submission should all be 3D models or external free

Capture The Imagination
Description
Experience the boundless realm of 3D artistry! Create a captivating and
immersive scene with no limitations on theme or subject matter. However,
remember that in the end, a single image will be your masterpiece, the
culmination of your creative process.
Rules
This is an online event and the deadline for the submission is 5 Oct 2024
till 11:59 PM
Artwork must be made in 3D and not in 2D although you can use
composition softwares for finishing touches
Main submission is to be a single frame (1920x1080p or higher) and not a
video
Two or more additional perspectives of your scene must be submitted to
check the authenticity of the 3D scene
All softwares are allowed
Plagiarism of any sort will result in direct disqualification
FMC Weekend reserves the right to share the entries on its page as well
as on allied handles. Participants will be acknowledged
The club pages i.e. The Animation Club of IITBHU (@animators_iitbhu),
FMCWeekend (@fmc_weekend) must be followed on Instagram to get

Problem Statement

orchestrated harmony, and colours swirling with meaning. Unleash the
potential of animation to redefine brand recognition, and be the visionary
who turns static symbols into mesmerising stories that leave a lasting
impact.
Description
Create an innovative 2D logo animation within specified duration,
showcasing seamless motion, creative transitions, and a harmonious blend
of visual elements.
Rules
This is an ONLINE event the deadline of submission would be 06/10/2024.
Any submissions after the deadline will not be considered
A 2D animation is required for submission. Any kind of image or still
render will not be accepted
Elements in the final submission should all be 2D assets and external
assets can also be used for this event(not more than 30% of the scene)
The composition can be done using other softwares. (e.g. Adobe After
Effects)
