STP stands for Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning. It's a marketing strategy that
involves dividing a market into distinct groups (segmentation), selecting which group(s) to serve
(targeting), and determining how to position the product or service in the market (positioning).
2. Discuss strategies of environmental analysis?
Environmental analysis is the process of assessing and interpreting the data related to the
external environment to understand the market dynamics that can impact an organization. Here
are some strategies SWOT Analysis that is identifying the Strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities, and Threats related to the business environment. Then, PEST Analysis that is
analyzing Political, Economic, Social, and Technological factors that could impact the business.
After that, Porter’s Five Forces that is assessing the competitive forces in an industry. For
example, competitive rivalry, bargaining power of suppliers, bargaining power of buyers, threat
of new entrants, and threat of substitutes. Meanwhile,Scenario Planning is developing different
plausible scenarios about how the external environment might evolve and preparing strategies
for each. Finally, Benchmarking is comparing your business processes and performance
metrics to industry bests and best practices from other companies.
