INTRODUCTION
The Amrutesvara Temple, located in Amruthapura,
Karnataka, was built in 1196 CE during the reign of the
Hoysala King Veera Ballala II. It is a classic example of
Hoysala architecture and is famous for its intricately
carved structures.

The temple was commissioned by
Amrutheswara Dandanayaka, a commander
under King Veera Ballala II. It highlights the
temple-building tradition of the Hoysala
