6. Two identical loops, one of copper and other of aluminium are rotated
with the same angular speed in the magnetic field. Compare 1)
induced emf 2) the current produced in two coils. Justify your answer.
7. How does the mutual inductance of a pair of coil change when the
distance b/w 2 coil is increased & number of turns in each of 2 coil is
decreased
8. Why is the emf maximum when the plane of the armature is parallel to

and (c) electric dipole. At large distances, the field lines are very similar.
2. Ac generator
2. Yes, an emf will be induced at its ends. Justification: As the metallic rod falls
down, the magnetic flux due to vertical component of Earth's magnetic field
keeps on changing.
[Link] would reach earlier. This is because there is no effect of
electromagnetic induction in glass, due to presence of Earth's field,
unlike in the case of metallic ball.
4. the magnitude of the emf in a circuit depends on coil turns, the intensity
of the magnetic field, the area of the coil, and the angle between the
magnetic field and the normal to the area of the coil.
Flux = B.A
6. (i) There will be no difference in the induced emf because induced
emf is dependent only upon the magnetic field and angular vel but not
on the property of metal in loops
(ii) The induced current will be higher in copper loop since the
resistance of Aluminium is greater then of copper and the induced
emfis same in both.
7.
(i) With the increase in the distance between the coils, the magnetic
flux marked with the stationary coil decrease and hence the mutual
inductance of the two coils will decrease.
(ii)M∝n1n2 so with the increase in the number of turns mutual
inductance increases.
[Link] rate of change of magnetic flux is greatest when the plane of
armature is parallel to the lines of force of magnetic field. Hence, the
magnitude of induced EMF is maximum, when the plane of the armature of
AC is parallel to the lines of force of magnetic field.
