1 INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - BEDROOM - NIGHT

JAMES (early 30's) is fast asleep. Beside him is SYLVIA

(Late 20s). She isn't sleeping but seductively staring at
James. Then she starts to romance his chest. After a while
she sends her hand into his trousers grabbing his dick. A
few seconds later James quickly grabs Sylvia's hand.

JAMES
Hey

SYLVIA
Hello handsome

He looks around.

JAMES
You're not sleeping?

SYLVIA
I will, but for now I need to feel
this thing.

He takes a breathe of exhaustion. Sylvia tries moving her

hands in his trouser but he stop her.

JAMES
Babe, babe please. I'm tired.

SYLVIA
(smiles)
I know. Just lay back and let me
handle it okay.

She tries but he stops her again.

JAMES
Wait, not tonight. Let's do this
tomorrow please. I need to rest.

SYLVIA
Come on babe, but I'm in the mood.

JAMES
I know, and I promise to be all your
tomorrow. Please try and understand.

Sylvia sighs and gets angry. She takes her hand off his
trousers and looks away.

JAMES (CONT'D)
That's my girl. Thanks for
understanding. Good night honey.

He gets back to sleep leaving Sylvia angry. She stares at

him and frowns.

CUT TO

2 INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT

Refrigerator opens. Inside sits a fresh single full size

cucumber. She stares at it for a while. Then she shakes
her head in disagreement and closes the refrigerator.

BLACK SCREEN

The refrigerator opens again. Sylvia stares at the cucumber,

hesitates for a while but finally picks it. Refrigerator
closes.

CUT TO

3 EXT. JUNCTION - DAY

James is at a junction talking on phone. Then he sights

someone coming on a bike and drops the call. The bike rides
and stops before him. TONY (Early 30's) comes down and they
greet each other warmly. He pays the bike and they walk
away chatting happily.

4 INT. JAMES' PARLOR - DAY

James leads Tony in.

JAMES
Tony Tony, you're welcome to my humble
abode.

TONY
Wow, this is beautiful bro. You're
doing well.

JAMES
All thanks to God my brother. He
has been faithful.

TONY
I can see that.

Sylvia walks in from the kitchen.

JAMES
Hey babe, meet my friend, Tony. The
one I told about. Oboy, my babe.
Her name is Sylvia

Sylvia and Tony stare at each other surprisingly. James

notices

JAMES (CONT'D)
Do you two know each other?

TONY
(pretending)
No, no. I haven't met her before.
But she looks quite familiar

SYLVIA
(pretends too)
Yeah, he looks like someone I know.

JAMES
(confused)
Okay...well, people do look alike
don't they?

SYLVIA
Yeah of course, you're welcome Tony.

TONY
Thank you very much

SYLVIA
Babe, let return to the kitchen.

JAMES
Okay, I hope it's getting ready.

SYLVIA
Very soon

JAMES
Good

Sylvia smiles and walks away while Tony stares.

JAMES (CONT'D)
Come on bro, please have a sit.

TONY
Oh! Yeah, thank you

He sits down.

JAMES
Let me take your bags inside.

TONY
Okay

James carry his bags away while he wonders.

5 INT. JAMES' PARLOR - DINNING - NIGHT

James, Tony and Sylvia are having dinner.

TONY
So, how did you guys meet?

JAMES
Hummm?

TONY
I mean, how did you meet your girl?

JAMES
Oh! You mean my fiancee?

TONY
(surprised)
You're engaged?

JAMES
Yeah. For over a year now.

Tony notices and stares at an engagement ring on Sylvia's

finger. They stare briefly at each other

JAMES (CONT'D)
As a matter of fact We should have
been married by now, but for some
reasons she wants us to wait.

He laughs.

TONY
Oh! Nice one. Congratulations

JAMES
Thank you my brother. Na God!

He notices that Sylvia hasn't been talking.

JAMES (CONT'D)
Babe, are you alright? You're not
saying anything.

SYLVIA
Uhm, I'm fine sweetie, i just have a
light headache.

JAMES
Oh, I'm sorry okay. I'll get you
some drugs after this

SYLVIA
Okay babe. Thank you

JAMES
You're welcome my love. Please try
and eat a little.

He continues eating while Tony and Sylvia keep spying at

each other from time to time.

6 INT. JAMES' BEDROOM - NIGHT

James is fast asleep but Sylvia is awake. She is thinking.

7 INT. TONY'S ROOM - NIGHT

Tony too is not sleeping. Inter-cut between the two scenes

as they reflect.

8 INT. MARKETING AGENCY - MORNING

WENDY (late 20's), average height, beautiful and corporately

dressed walks into an office where a few people are waiting

WENDY
Can I get your attention please.

Everyone turns to her

WENDY (CONT'D)
Over here

5 girls and two guys gather around her. They're all

corporately dressed

WENDY (CONT'D)
I am so excited to welcome you all
to EASY MONEY MARKETERS. My name is
Wendy, and i will be your marketing
officer

Tony hurries in and joins them. Everyone stares at him

WENDY (CONT'D)
I suppose you're Tony.

TONY
(nods)
Yes I am

She looks at her wrist watch.

WENDY
You're 45 minutes late

TONY
I'm sorry Madame. I lost my way
around town.

One of the ladies laughs ridiculously.

LADY
Big man so di loss?

The one next to her advises her to stop

Tony stares at her and ignores. Wendy snobs him and continues
her speech.

WENDY
So as I was saying before the
interruption, EASY MONEY MARKETERS
is an agency like no other. Our
workers earn a decent income just by
selling cosmetic products.

Some of the people look at themselves and murmur. Tony

wonders

WENDY (CONT'D)
Our commission rate is up to a
whopping 15%. This means if you
sell a product for 10,000frs, you
earn a commission of 1,500frs. so
if in a day you are able to sell
100,000frs, then you earn 15,000frs
and so on and so forth. Now, imagine
earning 15k everyday for 30 days,
that's a monthly income of 450,000frs.
I bet you no agency can beat that.

She smiles. Some people nod in amazement while others

including Tony continue to wonder. One of the boys in the
group raises a hand

GUY
May i?

WENDY
Of course

GUY
(clears his throat)
According to the information on your
company's website and social media
pages this was supposed to be a full
time job with salaries ranging between
250 to 400k. So I'm kin of confused
with what you're saying now.

WENDY
Is that all?

GUY
Yeah, for now.

WENDY
Okay. Ummm, please don't be confused
because it is exactly what I just
explained. Actually you can even
earn more than 400k in a month.

LADY
If I may ask madame, where are we
supposed to sell these products? Is
it in a kind of shopping mall or
something?

WENDY
Anywhere. Come in the morning, get
your products and go out there. You
have families right? Friends and
other acquaintances. Convince them
to buy so you can make money.

Tony is shocked. A few other people are discouraged while

others are motivated.

WENDY (CONT'D)
Any other question?

CUT TO

9 EXT. MARKETING AGENCY - MOMENTS LATER

The two guys from the group and the lady who asked the
question are in front, Tony is behind them while the others
follow. The people in front stop and chat while Tony and
the rest walk pass.

GUY I
So make dis me so carry perfume and
rubbing oil di waka sell for street.
I better die the ngueme nor

GUY 2
But why dis people dem dey so nor
massa? Why dem nobi just explain
all dis thing so for their Facebook
page.

LADY
See you, if dem be explanam so you
for came?.

GUY 1
I sey I better die the ngueme eeh.

(sighs)

LADY

GUY 1
(laughs)
Hear only name

They laugh and walk away.

10 INT. JAMES' PARLOR - DAY

Sylvia is sleeping on the sofa in a sexy dress. Tony comes

in and scans her from head to toe. After a while he sits
down and clears his throat. Sylvia wakes up.

SYLVIA
Hey, you're back

TONY
Yeah, i just came in

SYLVIA
Okay. So how did it go?

TONY
Far below expectation.

She stares at him for a moment

SYLVIA
Can I get you a drink?

TONY
Please do.

They stare for a while and then she goes to get the drink.

11 INT. JAMES' PARLOR - MOMENTS LATER

Sylvia and Tony drinking. Sylvia laughs

SYLVIA
So what are you gonna do?

TONY
What else? Its not like I have a
choice. I'll have to manage it until
I can get something better.

SYLVIA
Yeah, that's right

She sips her drink. There's a short silence.

SYLVIA (CONT'D)
Do you really want a job?

TONY
(surprised)
Of course

SYLVIA
Nah, I don't think so

Tony's mood changes. They're staring each other in the eyes

TONY
I want it

SYLVIA
Then you have to do everything you
can to get it

TONY
And what if everything I can is not
enough?

SYLVIA
Well, you won't know unless you try

They stare at each other, their heads leaning towards each

other. Then Sylvia smiles

SYLVIA (CONT'D)
I'll get us more drinks

She goes away. Tony stares at her.

TONY
Of course, I won't know unless I
try.

FADE TO BLACK
