1.0 Introduction This design note consists of 40m through trussed bridge. The analysis of the structure has been done by a complete mathematical modelling using analysis software, while the design is done manually in line with the procedure & parar down in the following standards: IRC:6-2000 IRC:21-2000 IRC:22-1986 IRC:24-2001 1S:11384-1985 BS:5400-Part5:1979 OU RONE 2.0 Basic Design Dati Statical scheme Main Girders ‘Simply supported N type trusses (2 sets) with concrete deck at the top acting compositely with the main longitudinals Cross Bracings at locations of the joint of verticals & the top & bottom chord Top chord bracings No bracing as the composite deck will serve the purpose Bottom chord bracing At every panel, as crossed braces.
