ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN IMPRESSION OF THE ALOTAU FORESHORE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR
MILNE BAY PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT
Specific Tasks
The Student shall carry out following;
Project Design and Impression.
Production of Architectural Impression in 3D Rendering & Animation using CAD software
Conceptual Design of Proposed Alotau Foreshore Development Project from Nako Sea-front and along the
Foreshore to Cameron Club Foreshore.
Design & Documentation of anticipated Foreshore structures, utilities, amenities, leisure/park facilities considering an
holistic perspective which shall be socially/environmentally friendly and economically viable.

Project Design Preliminary Stages
The Project Design covers:
Stage 1: Facelift to Nako Sea Front- Former Works Unit Area for Boat/Dingy Commuters.
Stage 2: Incorporation of Proposed New Wharf to be funded by ADB.
Stage 3: The incorporation of the Existing Transit Hotel with Proposed Board Walk, Lighting Pathways, and Terraced
Views all the way to Cameron Club Foreshore.
Stage 4: Design & Documentation of anticipated Foreshore structures, utilities, amenities, leisure/park facilities
considering an holistic perspective which shall be socially/environmentally friendly and economically viable.
Stage 5: Facelift or Enhancement of the Alotau International Hotel Sea Front to incorporate Board Walks as per item
noted in Stage 3 above.
Stage 6. Incorporation of proposed JICA Funded Market with green barriers and proposed pedestrian access.
Stage 7: Selected social spaces to be sheltered for public gatherings (e.g.. The kundu & canoe festival) along the
foreshore.
