Subject: Inquiry about Academic Standing in Purposive Communication
Dear Mrs. Maria Aileen Deleon,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Joylyn Guerrero, and I am currently enrolled
in your Purposive Communication course. I am reaching out to inquire about my academic
standing in the course. Given the challenges that this semester has presented, I have
been dedicated to staying on top of the coursework and ensuring that I am meeting the
academic requirements. However, I believe it would be beneficial to receive an update on
my current performance in Purposive Communication to gauge my progress accurately.
I kindly request your assistance in providing me with feedback on my academic
performance in the course. Additionally, I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance
you can offer to help me enhance my learning strategies and improve my overall
understanding of the subject matter.
Thank you for taking the time to address my inquiry and for your ongoing support in my
academic journey. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Warm regards,
Joylyn Guerrero

Activity 2:
1. How do you envision the role of technology in controlling the spread of COVID-19 and
ensuring efficient contact tracing?
2. Can you share any innovative approaches or partnerships that have been established
to enhance the country’s testing capacity?
3. What measures are being taken to prioritize the safety and well-being of frontline
healthcare workers during the pandemic?
4. Are there any specific plans in place to address the mental health challenges arising
from the prolonged impact of the pandemic?
5. How do you plan to engage and involve the private sector and local communities in the
fight against COVID-19?
Activity 3:
1. Writing a letter of inquiry is more advantageous than conducting an interview when
you need to gather information from someone who is not easily accessible or
available for a face-to-face conversation. It allows you to clearly articulate your
questions and gives the recipient time to provide a thoughtful response.
2. A letter of inquiry cannot achieve the same level of interaction and immediate
feedback that an interview can. In an interview, you can ask follow-up questions,
clarify any uncertainties, and have a real-time conversation that allows for a deeper
understanding of the topic.
3. Regardless of formality level and medium, it is important to communicate
messages to the target individuals in a clear, concise, and respectful manner. Use
appropriate language and tone, provide necessary context, and ensure that the
message is easily understandable by the intended recipients.
