Descriptive 1. This research design is used to describe the status of an identified variable such
as events, people or subjects.
Correlational 2. It is employed when one intends to estimate the extent to which different
variables are related to one another.
Referencing 3. It is a method used to demonstrate that thorough and appropriate literature
searching and reading are conducted.
Historical 4. It is a type of literature review intended to systematically examine past events.
Informed Consent 5. It is given to the research participants before subjecting them for research.
Autonomy 6. It means the freedom to decide what to do even if he/she has signed a consent
form.
Research Design 7. It refers to the overall plan and scheme for conducting the study.
Experimental 8. It uses the scientific method to establish the cause-effect relationship among a
group of variables that make up a study.
Sampling 9. It is the process of selecting units from a population of interest.
Reliability 10. It is the degree to which an instrument is consistent.
Writing The Methodology
Your Research Design: Case Study, This research has the nature of a descriptive case study
aiming to clarify the opinions of primary education classroom teachers about the use of
materials and tools in the lessons.
Your Research Participants: The participants of this study are from Davao City National High
School Students. It is preferred to interview the students who’ve experienced this kind of
problem before. Since this is qualitative research, the researcher will be conducting interviews
and a focus group discussion. As a researcher we need to require a Principal’s List Certificate to
validate a participant.
Your Data Collection: The information will be gained by direct observation. The researcher is
able to obtain the essential data for the study using this approach.
Your Data Analysis: I want to make reproducible and valid inferences by interpreting and
coding textual information, I'd like to employ content analysis as an approach for how the data
will be evaluated.
The Trustworthiness of the Study: Credibility, transferability, reliability, and confirmability are
the four factors to consider:
Your Role as the Researcher: The researcher's goal in this study is to identify what factors
influence an individual's decision-making by carefully watching the participants in an ethical
manner.
Your Ethical Considerations: Ethical considerations limit the researcher's access to the
respondents' personal life while ensuring that the study's goals are met. The interviewer should
conduct the interview in an ethical manner. The responses of the participants will be kept private
and will not be utilized for any other purpose.
