Topic 1: Describe one of your close friends
In my opinion, friendship is one of my top priorities. They come and
make my life more meaningful, more colorful. I can’t image what I
would be like without my friends. So today, I’d like to tell you about one
of my besties, Ngoc Linh. To this day, I still can’t believe that she and I
can play together because we’ve had a conflict before. Accidently, after
a conflict, I met her when I went to an extra class. At first, I was
surprised that we studied together. But after a while, we got to know
each other and played together.
How long ago was that? I don’t remember exactly, but it was about 4
years ago. Now, we’re so busy with full schedule so we don’t have
much time to meet. I think we can meet twice a month due to the
distance from my highschool to hers.
What kind of person is she? Yeah I would have to say that she is very
kind and ethusiastic. She always buy me milktea or lemonade whenever
she pick up me at my school. Moreover, when I have issues in my life,
the first person I think I will tell is her. She listens to me, give me good
advice, appease me if I feel sad or lonely. She also a hard-working
person, she spends much time studying and reading books. I admire her
so much.
The reasons why I like her is because we have many hobbies in
common so we find it easy to choose destinations to arrive everytime
we can hang out together. In addition, she’s very reliable, she can keep
all my secret. I’m so glad to have such a good friend like her.
Topic 2: Describe an old person who you admire
I’m gonna tell you about one of the greatest persons in my life, my
grandmother. She is my grandmom but in my view, she is also my
second mom because she took care of and nurture me since I was a
baby. At that time, my mom had to work in China so she looked after
me. Everyday, she cooked me many delicious meal, took shower for
me, took care of me when I was ill and taught me many life skills. What
kind person is she? She is the most hard-working person I have ever
known. She spends much time working, cooking, doing the housework.
She is also a lover of beauty, she loves decorating her house with
flowers and plants. She is fond of sewing clothes, she used to be a
famous tailor when she was young. We have many hobbies in common
such as walking, go shopping, swimming and cooking. I love cooking
with her so much because I can learn from her many cooking skills. I
also like to go shopping with her, she always buy me sneakers, beautiful
dresses and anything I want to. The reason why I admire my
grandmother is because she is a thoughtful person, she looks after all
my family members. In addtion, whenever I have some problems in my
life, she is the best person I can tell my stories. She listens to me, gives
me good advice, teaches me how to deal with that problem. I feel I’m
lucky because I have a grandmother like her.
