About
This template was designed to help you schedule and follow up with appointments. It uses
conditional formatting to highlight the appointments based on the symbol or letter you choose
from the drop-down list. You can choose the start date and time and the time interval.
If you don't want to use conditional formatting, or if you want to print a blank appointment
schedule sheet, you can use the BlankNoCondFormat worksheet.
Clear a cell by selecting it and pressing Delete.
Copy/Duplicate the Schedule Worksheet
Before you begin entering appointments and making other custom changes to the schedule,
make a duplicate of the worksheet by right-clicking on the worksheet and selecting Move or
Copy.
You can duplicate the Schedule worksheet multiple times and rename the worksheet tabs (Mar 6,
Mar 13, Mar 20, etc.) to create a multi-week appointment schedule.
Customize the Legend
The drop-down list in the status columns is based on the symbols or letters in the Legend. You
can modify the legend if you want to, but to change the colors requires modifying the conditional
formatting rules which can be more challenging.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to customize the legend BEFORE you edit the schedule. Changing the
legend will not change the values you may have already selected from the drop-down lists.
Six or Seven-Day Work Weeks
You can unhide the hidden columns to show 6 or 7 days per week (instead of just 5).
Modify Drop-Down Lists
Select the cells you want to modify, then go to Data > Data Validation.
Conditional Formatting
To edit conditional formatting rules, go to Conditional Formatting > Manage Rules and select
"This Worksheet" to see and edit all the rules.
