Government Orders (G.Os) and amendments adapt regulations from the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions Order, 1974, for use in Telangana, affecting eligibility requirements and reservation policies. Specific G.Os also determine preference in admissions, such as first preference for Information Technology diploma holders for IT programs .

Exam center allocation is based on the first-come-first-serve registration basis, with the Convener having the final say. Requests for changes in test center locations will not be entertained .

The online application for TS ECET - 2024 commences on 15-02-2024, with a regular submission deadline on 16-04-2024. Applications can be submitted with a late fee of Rs. 500 until 22-04-2024, and with Rs. 1000 until 28-04-2024. Fees are Rs. 500 for SC/ST & PH candidates and Rs. 900 for others. Payment can be made at TS/AP Online Centers or online via credit/debit cards or net banking .

The Integrated Merit Rank is based on the total marks obtained by candidates in the TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] - 2024 examination. In case of a tie in scores, the following criteria are applied sequentially: marks obtained in the Engineering subject, Mathematics subject, and Physics subject. If the tie still persists, candidates are ranked based on their age, with priority given to older candidates .

The qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank is 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects (or three for B.Sc. Mathematics candidates), which equals 50 marks out of a total of 200. SC/ST candidates, however, have no minimum qualifying marks requirement for ranking .

Admission provides that 85% of the seats in each course are reserved for local candidates of Telangana and the remaining 15% are unreserved, as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974, adapted for Telangana .

Candidates must be of Indian nationality and belong to the State of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, satisfying local/non-local status requirements. They should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh or have passed the 3-year B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Additionally, candidates pursuing a Diploma course under the sandwich pattern must meet certain conditions related to practical training. They must also have at least 45% marks in their qualifications (40% for reserved category candidates).

These candidates must appear for the TS ECET – FDH Examination in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering for admission into the corresponding degree course .

In the case of a tie, for Engineering programs, the ranking considers marks obtained in the Engineering subject, followed by Mathematics and Physics. For Pharmacy, the percentage from the qualifying exam is considered post tie, with age as a further tie-breaker. For B.Sc. (Mathematics), preference is given based on Mathematics marks, then the aggregate from the qualifying exam, and finally age .

First preference is given to candidates who have obtained a Diploma in Computer Science Engineering. If seats remain vacant, candidates with a Diploma in any branch of Engineering / Technology are considered based on their integrated merit ranking .
