Mass Attendance
STEWARDSHIP ... is what I do after I say I believe
Rejoice always, never cease praying, render constant thanks; such is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 The opposite of stewardship is self-pity and ingratitude. Stewardship is about gratitude and rendering constant thanks. We cant give what we dont have. Stewardship means being aware of how much weve received. After that realization, giving is a mandate. A big thank you to everyone for your gracious welcome as I had the privilege of being installed as the pastor of St. Francis Xavier and All Saints. A special thank you to everyone who had a part in the celebration: the musicians for the beautiful music, the various ministers at the Mass, and all those who helped provide for the meal afterwards. I am truly blessed to have been assigned to two wonderful parishes! God bless us always! - Fr. Paul Our pictorial directory will be here soon. A big thank you to Anita Whitworth who headed this project and the people who helped with layout (Lea Glauber, Rhonda Perry and Jo Rueve) and photography (Cliff Cheser and Alexandra Rogers). Many thanks also to the many people who helped with the appointment settings. If you would like to donate a Christmas flower in memory of a loved one, please either use the envelope in your stewardship packets or drop off your donation and who you want to remember at the parish office. A list will be published in the December 18th bulletin. St. Francis Xavier is offering a new ministry, Coping with Grief, for persons grieving the death of a spouse or a close loved one. An initial meeting will be held on Monday, December 12th from 6:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m. in the religious education building (TGIF room). This meeting will explore the needs of the grieving in order to plan for future support gatherings. We hope you will join us for conversation, coffee, and dessert. (This group is being formed based on our interest from the parish survey that was recently done). Volunteers are needed to play, chaperone and stay awake with teens at the annual Lock In. This event is scheduled Wed., Dec. 28th and we need chaperones willing to serve from 12 am until 7 am. Contact Lisa Downs if you are willing to serve. We cannot offer this requested event if we dont have chaperones!
THANK YOU
