The recommended method for disposing of the Lubricity Improver is incineration in a suitable facility. Care should be taken to ensure compliance with local regulations governing the disposal of chemical substances, and precautions should be in place to minimize environmental impact .

Suitable extinguishing media for fires involving the Lubricity Improver include foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide (CO2), and sand. Water jet is considered unsuitable as it could spread the fire .

The Lubricity Improver is harmful to the environment, particularly concerning atmospheric pollution. While specific data on ecotoxicity is not available, special attention should be given to its potential environmental impact when handling, storing, or disposing of this product .

The handling and classification of Lubricity Improver is governed by various regulations, including the Regulation on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals (released by the State Council on 07 Dec 2013) and the Regulation on the Safety Use of Chemicals at Workplace. These regulations provide stipulations for safe use, storage, transport, handling, classification, and marking of the product to ensure compliance and safety .

For personal protection while handling the Lubricity Improver, operators are recommended to wear self-absorption filter masks (half-face), chemical goggles, anti-poisoning clothing, and rubber oil-resistant gloves. After work, it is advised to shower and change clothes to maintain personal hygiene .

When transporting Lubricity Improver, precautions should be taken against exposure to sunshine, rain, and high temperatures. The packaging should be complete and the loading should be secure to ensure that the containers do not leak, collapse, fall, or become damaged. It is also critical that the product is not transported alongside oxidants, acids, or edible chemicals .

In the event of an accidental release, it is important to eliminate all ignition sources and define alert zones according to the affected areas. Unnecessary and unprotected personnel should be kept from entering. Evacuation of irrelevant personnel from windward and side-wind directions is required, while emergency handling personnel are recommended to wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus, antistatic clothing, and rubber oil-resistant gloves. In case of large leakage, covering with a plastic cloth and collecting for recycling or disposal is advised. The area should be flushed with sufficient water and diluted into sewers if safe to do so .

The Lubricity Improver should be stored in a cool and well-ventilated warehouse, away from tinder and heat sources. It should be stored separately from oxidants and alkalis, and mixed storage is not permitted. The storage area should be equipped with emergency handling equipment for potential leakage and suitable collection materials .

In a large-scale spill involving Lubricity Improver, it is essential to eliminate all ignition sources and establish alert zones. Large spills should be covered with plastic cloths to minimize evaporation and then collected for recycling or disposal. Emergency personnel should wear appropriate protective gear, including positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus and antistatic clothing. The area should be flushed with sufficient water if environmentally safe to do so, and sewage systems should be utilized only after proper dilution .

Performing closed operations and providing overall ventilation are important when handling Lubricity Improver to prevent the accumulation of vapors that could lead to fire hazards or exposure to potentially harmful substances. This helps in keeping the working environment safe and reduces the risk of inhalation or skin contact with the chemical .
